In response the only thing that comes to mind is that we know Judges. Some of our friends are Judges. We have even had a drink with a ....judge.

Is it true RBG has only hired 1 black clerk EVER, including her time on the court of appeals? And if so, why do no liberals care?

It appears there's also a shortage of brains in "Bama" and perhaps a worm hole because you've emerged from the 1940's.

Kayla Moore's style and delivery are poor, but it appears she has some evidence to refute the critics... still, I blame this, ultimately, on the United States following the defeat of the South in the American Civil War. The North may have won the War, but has lost the peace, much to the detriment of our Nation.

This is not a defense of Roy Moore, but some Southern men I have known over the years wanted very young women as brides, teenagers like Moore sought, to have a virgin for a wife. If that was true of Moore, he eventually got over it:

"Moore first saw his future wife, Kayla Kisor, when she was in her mid teenage years, performing at a dance recital. In his 2005 autobiography, Moore described his reaction, writing: "I knew Kayla was going to be a special person in my life."[111] Years later, Moore and Kisor met again at a Christmas party. She was then a divorced mother. They married a year later in 1985 when Moore was 38 and Kisor was 24. They have four adult children.[112]"

Not a very convincing or good defense that he spotted his future wife as a teenager and knew then he would marry her one day.

@9:52 AM

My comment was not a defense of Moore, see "This is not a defense of Roy Moore...". Also see, "If that was true of Moore, he eventually got over it:" Personally I find the idea repugnant, older Southern men seeking teenage brides who are virgins.

I believe this article by Moore's former law school professor is worthwhile,

"A lesson on Roy Moore from his former law school professor"
By Guy V. Martin, Jr., Alabama School of Law, AL.com
http://www.al.com/opinion/index.ssf/2017/09/a_lesson_on_roy_moore_from_his.html

"One: Roy Moore did not get along with his colleagues in law school or on the Supreme Court. The arguments were not over Christianity."

Finally, clearly Roy Moore was a member of the judicial branch of government. Moore was admitted to the state regulatory bar, and therefore still is "an officer of the court". He should be disqualified under separation of powers from serving in the U.S. Senate, part of the legislative branch of government. Same goes for his successful opponent, Doug Jones, who was admitted to the state regulatory bar, and therefore still is "an officer of the court".

I'll ask this question of my Jewish colleagues, in robes, suits, and T-Shirts. When I hear Mrs. Moore say "One of my lawyers is a Jew," especially in that Southern twang, I hear "Jew" as a derogatory term. On par with the N, or S word. Am I hearing it correctly? Were it to be "I have a Jewish lawyer," it would be on par with "I have Black friends." Both equally racist in their own right, but at least the later is not a complete fool and racist.

MM, keep up the good work. Its good to have you on here!

@7.58 PM, "especially in that Southern twang"

OBJECTION, YOUR HONOR! The witness is prejudice against Southerners!

Nothing wrong with the word "Jew." That is how the woman speaks. I am sorry you read so much into it.
