ZOOM MOSTLY BACK

Yesterday we blogged about court houses and your favourite wearers of black robes suffering internet outages and thus a lack of zoom. Having processed that information, a  myriad of non-careful blog readers took to their emails clogging everyone's in-box with a variation of "Hey, what happened to Zoom??"

Read yesterday's blog post and you will know.

How was a peek at non-zoom life? Not pretty. So to keep Zoom, show up on time, have your client present, wear appropriate court clothes, have your client NOT lounging in bed, but dressed and in a chair and ready to go. It's quite simple really.

COLORADO/ AFRICA MURDER CASE

Did you know that your favourite federal blogger, and a great defense attorney to boot, is currently ensconced in Colorado gearing up for a fascinating case and his defense of Dr. Lawrence Rudolph, a dentist charged with killing his wife at an African hunting preserve.

The case is a "foreign murder" prosecution- haven't seen to many of those. There are allegations of a life insurance policy and a mistress- all elements of a nice, juicy Miami murder case. We are confident Mr. Markus and Ms.Moss  will bring some 305 cross to the 303.

What happened to the Nancy Wear stuff?

I'm shocked that you would publish what another defense lawyer's trial strategy is before the trial started.

I googled the case. All the articles say “accidental shooting “. I have no idea what the defense will be. Venue seems like a good place to start. For all I know it will be self defense. Why are you so shocked? What did the shock do to you? Hopefully ruin your miserable day as a start. Thanks for reading.

Yea, FACDL is at war with Nancy Wear and the entire post evaporates? Did Nancy threaten Rumpole?

Rumpole said...

No actually I felt it was not in good taste because Judge Cooke is very ill and I referenced that In a way that wasn’t respectful of the crisis her family is going through. But thanks for being an alert reader.

You are right about that. Judge Cooke is a great person. I hope she gets better.

Many prominent FACDL members want Nancy off the list serve. Me too.

Wow, Rumpole. You missed this. Go to the JQC website and look at the video of Judge Culver in Seminole County calling a person a fucking asshole from the bench.

Im hearing if more and more signs popping up of judge blumstein in his navy uniform. What kind of judge violates the DoD just to try to trick voters to vote for him?

Dear Friday, July 08, 2022 5:46:00 PM;

You have no idea how bad Seminole County is. You think this is bad? There was a time when a Judge could hold up his hand and go off the record. This is mild for Seminole County.

There was a black man who wanted to play baseball against a team of white boys in Seminole County. They tried to murder him. He was spirited away the night before the game. When the folks from Seminole County found out who snached the intended murder victim away from them; they murdered the rescuers. On Christmas. That's Seminole County.

He did get in the game. Then after the first inning, the police chief of the Seminole County town the game was played in stopped the game until the two black kids were pulled from the game. Years later, they named a park after the chief of police. That's Seminole County.

Remember the story about the tax collector and the old-timely panhandle shyster's congressman son? That's Seminole County. Send a math nerd off to research the JQC records and see how many proven cases there are from Seminole County. Compare that number with other counties. I'll bet the number is an interesting one.
