WEEK 14

We feel that the time for the Dolphins to win a game passed last week. It was competitive for awhile...but then same old fins. Not much hope they can do much on the road this week.

Same thing for the Cheaters. Baltimore had the game won. But the Cheaters have made a deal with the Devil. Baltimore stops them twice on 4th down late in the 4th quarter only to have an untimely time out followed by an encroachment penalty give the Cheaters three chances to convert a 4th down. The rest is sadly history. You may want to consider taking the over 47 and the 10.5 points as the Steelers could keep it close. But the Steelers are a different team without Polamalu, and he is out today. While we are not ruling out an upset, we wouldn't bet too much on it. Strictly to keep things fun and give us a rooting interest against the Cheaters, the play is to lay 100 to win 450 on the Steelers to win outright, if you're looking for a little extra xmas money.

Carolina at Jax. Swallow hard and take the under 39.

San Diego at Tennessee. Consider the home dog Titans plus 1.5. This Titan is a different team with Haynesworth playing defense, and he is back this week.

Cleveland at the NY Jets. Look for a scoring festival as long as the weather is OK. Consider the +47.5 on the over.

We like the Seahawks at home over Arizona if you can find it at -6.5 instead of the -7. The number is out there if you shop it.

Rump- some random thoughts:

Better to have a president named Huckabee than Mitt.Although John Edwards would be the best of them all, and you shouldn't count him out yet.

Insider tip reveals that in their bus ride from the airport to the hotel in Boston, the Steelers had continually blared the new Bruce Springsteen hit "Your own worst enemy has come to town" as the Steelers psych themselves up to beat the big bad Patriots.

The Aleman mess is disappointing. She is such a bad Judge, yet it seems the stuff they came up with was pretty petty. What about what you wrote about forcing defendants to choose between getting ready or their right to a speedy trial? That was more important to all of us than he ripping up some dumb motion.

Bill Barzee would be a great choice for PD. Both the PD and SAO need some new blood.

That is all. Thanks for the Vine Rome'y.

Rumpole- I have to announce that I have held out for as long as I could. But like everyone else, I have bills to pay. Thus, starting tomorrow, I will be crossing the picket line and posting for my normal fees.

Who would you rather have quarterbacking your NFL team: the next Bobby Douglas (Tim Tebow) or the next Jim McMahon (Colt Brennan)? Whatever team drafts Brennan will be playing in the Super Bowl in four years.

SCAB. I knew it you weasel. I knew you'd be the first to break. We all have bills to pay. I'm working at the damn JC Pennys Mens Fragrance counter to make ends meet. You're a pathetic fake Alschuler scab and you will be blackballed in this business from now on.

RUMP!!!! The dog pyschic is reporting that Shumie's dog likes the Dolphins, the Seahwaks, the Steelers, the Browns, and the Vikes today. Lets see if the football picking pooch can beat you!!!

Ted Ginn Jr fumbles. Buffalo scores a TD. Same old dolphins. Perfect season intact.

Is it too early to start drinking today?

Anonymous said...

Just remember Ed. Don't drive after watching the dolphins get blown out.

Rumpole: yoo peeps jus don getit. you all shood look at da fins as a comedy act and hundreds shood show up at a game wearing a bag over their head. life is short, have fun, its just a football game. P.S. Isn't it sad that a man who played in 50 football games in his life has 3000 people, most of them complete strangers, attend his funeral but a doctor gets murdered at Houston's and he is totally forgotten already as are the dozens of other murder cases. What is your prediction for the Taylor arraignment, do the private attorneys stay on for the publicity or do court appointed attorneys end up with the case?

quick update my rumpola:

I started drinking the good stuff. Single Malt. 18 years old. Just a few swigs and I'll be damned if I didn't halucinate and see Cleo Lemon come in and complete a 50+ yard bomb. And then the fins scored. So I put the glass down, and sobered up a bit, and Buffalo scored a few more times. Now it's 31-7, and it has started to snow, so I've started to drink again.

Go fins.!

LATEST ODDS:

MICHAEL VICK SENTENCING--Over/under is 18 months. Tough call, but take the over. The judge won't be too happy that Mikey was doing his best Ricky Williams imitation while out on bond.

DOLPHINS ACTUALLY WINNING THIS SEASON--8-1 against. Put down $80,000, I guarantee you walk away with 10 grand in your pocket.

The question shouldn't be "will Wayne fire Cam at the end of the season?" but "will Wayne fire Cam at the end of the DAY!!!?"

Now Ed...be careful.

HERE WE GO STEELERS
HERE WE GO

BIG BAD PATRIOTS CAN ONLY MANAGE A 14-13 LEAD IN THE FIRST HALF? THE BIG TOUGH PATRIOTS DON'T LOOK SO TOUGH TO ME.

Shumie's dog looking good with the pick of the Vikes, Seahawks and Browns (all currently winning) and the Steelers (behind by one).

Shumie's dog RULES.

Anonymous said...

I hereby nominate SHUMIE'S DOG as the next coach of the Miami Dolphins.

Anonymous said...

I second the nomination.

We all know that the Dolphins need some help in order to avoid ending the season without a win. My suggestion is that they get some assistance from the Dade County legal community. Here are my substitutions:

Head Coach - Jacqueline Hogan Scola; I have not seen Cam show a lot of emotion and we all know Scola can.

Cheerleader - Dava Tunis; Everyone needs to see her flail her arms like a windmill.

Center - Judge Don Cohn

Punt/Kick-Off Return Man - Rod Vereen

QB - Rumpole

Linebacker - Stan Blake

CBS Commentators: Sharpie & Mark Eiglarsh

SCAB!

Rumpy don't look now but on page nine of the miami herald comments on the dolphins getting the first pick in the draft, is a comment by none other than...."SHUMIE'S DOG".

That mutt gets around. TV. Psychics. The Herald. What's next- a run for judge? His own tv show?

I just want to congratulate the real fakers out there that are holding out.

And going into halftime, its Barzee up by 16 (70-54)...

The fans say Carlos has no D!

Patriots, New England Patriots
if they win it all, will they riot?

Brady and Moss and 13-0
How far will they really go?

Coudl they take the 16-0 crown
from the 0-13 winless Dolphins?

Alas, do not fret. 'Cause Indy
will taken down the not-so-mighty Patriots.

another bad week of picks for rumpole. your overall record is poor lately.

Miami has Bill Barzee
the finest lawyer in the land
he's gonna be the next PD

he's on the air
he's on the ground
he's walking a nice beat

cause when you say Bill Barzee
being PD is pretty neat.!!!
