Seen at a small Temple in The Doral Area: Migna and a small group of Jewish ladies sitting around a table and talking, concluding the chat with a new twist on her favorite song:

Migna's for Israel
Israle's for Migna
Oh Shelly can't you see?

Israel's for Migna
Migna's for Israel
She'll be in the bench by January 3.

Hmm Hardwick...I thought you were Mr Big shot. "Notice of intent to sue" shut it down by noon, etc..

You seem to be reduced to sitting by your computer all day waiting for rumpole to take off moderation. Doesn't seem like you're all that important or powerful, as Rumpole still gets a thousand hits a day and a 100 comments a post.

Rumpole said...

Umm..hey nutso..why is my reader calling you Hardwick?

Rump..a Minute of Your Time.

Judge Ivan Hernandez is a veteran of the vietnam war. (His critic never served his country..wimp.)

Judge Hernandez is a widely respected Judge who tried many many jury trials while presiding in the Justice Building.

Judge Hernandez defeated a disgraced judge in the previous election. He is clearly the choice of Miami.

Judge Hernandez will win.
The crazy people will lose.

That sign, and most other signs, seem to be skirting election rules because the disclaimers are so small no one can read them. The candidate handbook says that such signs "prominently state" the disclaimer. "Any political advertisement that is paid for by a candidate and that is published, displayed, or circulated prior to, or on the day of, any election must prominently state: “Political advertisement paid for and approved by (name of candidate) (party affiliation) for (office sought).”"

Anonymous said...

Ivan Hernandez respected? Puleeze! The man doesn't understand the law or ethics, he's hardly ever there and is known to be rude to litigants. He looks away while his JA breaks the law and then tries to say he didn't know out of one side of his mouth and it's a free country so he can do what he wants out of the other. He only is on the bench because his predecessor had ethical lapses of his own trying to pick up prostitutes on Biscayne Boulevard. Ivan is worse because his ethical lapses reflect on his actions during his day job rather than after it.

Hi Rumpole,

Truly said, let me stay away from her personal life and post my opinion with respect to all the all Candiate running for group 80. The Herald elected Cathern Park in 2004 as their first pick. For this election, the Herald found Marisa Tinkler Mendez as their first choice. Why? Because like me and many more fill she has the experience in Criminal law and the knowledge. Marisa Tinkler Mendez has 20 Years practicing as a Defense Attorney worked
7 Years at the firm Black & Furci, P.A. working with Roy Black, Esq., Marisa is Licensed to practice before U.S. Supreme Court, the Florida Supreme Court, U.S., District Courts of Florida & U.S. Courts of Appeals and served as
Special Assistant Public Defender to the office of Bennett Brummer, accepting Court appointments for Indigent Defendants. If Catherine Parks was running for Practioner Nurse or something in the medical field, she would most likly be my choice to vote for. Ms. Parks, has the experience in the medical field and Litigation from what I read from the Herald. Her Opponent Marisa Tinkler Mendez has much more experience and the knowledge in the Criminal field. So obviously, my vote will be for Marisa Tinkler Mendez who is the most qualified person for Group 80 as Circuit Court Judge. Good luck to all the Candidate, especially Marisa Tinnkler Mendez!

Lady Themis, you are surely on drugs or just flat out crazy. If the circuit bench were primarily criminal, your comments would make some sense. However, there is a lot of civil activity that goes on. Marissa Mendez has never tried a case. She will readily admit that, whereas Cathy Parks has a lot of trial experience. Her nursing background is important because so many cases involve personal injury, wrongful death, murder, construction accidents, etc. I would just like to add that your grammar is pathetic, but I won't go there very much. If writing appellate briefs qualifies you to be a trial judge then get me out of here. Parks is also a member of the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court, for the record. Parks has also been voted a "Top Attorney in South Florida" by the South Florida Legal Guide and no one in her race has a chance of getting that.

What about that other guy in the Parks/Mendez race? Mario Garcia? Does anyone know who he is? Has anyone seen him?

Anonymous said...

Garcia isn't bad. Has a PhD in Psychology, I think.

Anonymous said...

Guess Parks is hoping that Mendez and Garcia split the hispanic vote.

>>I answer
You are right, the same drugs you are on and the same crazy planet as well as your's.

>>You said If the circuit bench were primarily criminal, your comments would make some sense. However, there is a lot of civil activity that goes on.

I answer, for real! Oh you must be kidding eh---like if you have taught me something new.....Marisa Tinkler has done Civil as well.

>>You said
Marissa Mendez has never tried a case.

>>I answer you are wrong....She has!

>>>You said:
She will readily admit that, whereas Cathy Parks has a lot of trial experience. Her nursing background is important because so many cases involve personal injury, wrongful death, murder, construction accidents, etc.

>>I answer

So are you Cathern Parks, so upset for what I wrote! If you can not take the beef don't run eh! Nurses, retired or no longer nurses reminds me of a doctor that once came as a guest speaker to our classroom and mentioned, How the retired nurses, and/or nurses that are no longer in this career accept cases and are paid to amend charts to protect the hospitals from those sueing them for there medical malpratice. Are those the type of cases may I ask that your Catherine Parks handles or does she really help those in need?

>>You said
I would just like to add that your grammar is pathetic, but I won't go there very much.

>>I answered

I don't have the time to be using spell check like you do. I am a human being who is bound to make grammatical errors every once in a while---no one is perfect---and I am sure you're not as well. Spell check = your drug!

>>You said

If writing appellate briefs qualifies you to be a trial judge then get me out of here.

>>No one wanted you here in the first place. Marisa has done more then just appellate work.

>>Parks is also a member of the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court, for the record.

>>That's all? Compared to Marisa, ""Parks"" has a lot of catching up to do!

>>You said
Parks has also been voted a "Top Attorney in South Florida" by the South Florida Legal Guide and no one in her race has a chance of getting that.

>>I answer
For what year """2004""....NEWS FLASH WE ARE IN 2006!!!!!

Good day!
