NFL WEEK 9 2019

There is one marque matchup today that the whole league will be watching. NFL football at its best, with story lines made in Hollywood.  Both teams with closely matched records. One team with a grizzled and successful aging veteran QB who can still throw the rock. The other team with a second year QB everyone is talking about. Sold defense, exciting offense, a coaching grudge...
Are we talking about the Patriots at the Ravens? Nah.

FINS WIN  AND WE WIN OUR BET!
It's the New York J...E....T...S Jets Jets Jets who come roaring into town at 1-6 with a second year QB facing our winless Fins with Fitzmagic seeking a little more magic  today in the humidity in  North Miami.
Adding insult to injury, 52nd Street Irwin and the sharpies in Vegas have made the Fins a field-goal dog at home. Enough is enough we say! We draw the line here and now. Take Miami +3.

Now for that other game of little note. The Cheaters take the train to Baltimore who is sporting second year QB Lamar Jackson who we have dissed all year much to the pain of our bankroll. The Birds are 5-2, the Cheaters are 7-0. The NE defense, which we have written about before, is #2 in pass D and #4 in run D. There is some absurd stat that if the offense never scored the Cheaters would still be 3-4. In for a penny, in for a pound, we are betting once again against the running QB that is a house of cards: all show, no throw.  Take the Cheaters -3.5 on the road to beat the birds.

Tampa flies west to the land of coffee, Microsoft, and Russell Wilson, who will have a bounce-back game today against a struggling Bucs team. Seattle -6 at home over Tampa

WINNER Bears at Eagles. What we thought would be a marquee game before the season began has turned into a yawner. There's no O in Philly or in Philadelphia for that matter (but take a Genos Cheesesteak "wit" over Pats any day).  Under 43.

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER BILLS 24-9
TEASER ALERT
DC Skins  at Buffalo Bills.  This is a bounce back game for Buffalo against a Washington team that is going no-where fast. The 9.5 is a big line for a Buffalo team that isn't the fastest or flashiest on Offense.  The total is 37. Time for Rumpole's first teaser of the season.
We're going to do a 7 point teaser, and lower the spread from 9.5 to 2.5 and the total from 37 to 30.
Bills -2.5 and over 30. The 7 point teaser requires us to lay 120 to win 100 by winning both the line and the over bets. EZ pickins when you know what you are doing.

SURVIVOR POOL
On and on we go. The hateful eight just refuse to lose.
Fake Alex Michaels, Tischler, Sautter, Gonzalez and C.J. Faber have already registered wins with their prescient pick of the 49ers this Thursday night past. Mr. Markus is rolling with the Bills, while Lucy Lew likes the Seahawks. Rep. Grieco got in under the wire with the Steelers last week and had to fade an early 14-0 deficit. We await his last minute pick again.   Today Grieco rolls with the Brownies.

Saw the Lime Green Mayback with the yellow leather interior and the red rims outside of whole foods on the beach last night. Shouldn't it be parked in front of Nobu or something?

Sunrise in Sheboygan this morning was glorious. A cup of Joe, a Donut are the way to start the day. My Chickn-Delicious franchises are having a two-fer sale today. Gonna make a bundle. A little extra water in the soda fountain mix of coke goes a long way towards profits, not to mention joining the green movement and stopping the use of straws has brought up the profits .5%.

Life is good after you leave the bench.

Rump, my GF and I -both state employees took your advice two weeks ago, scrapped together 1000 and put it on the Fins to cover and we were able to buy tix and hotel for a NYC Thanksgiving trip. Now with a new month and paycheck rattling around out accounts, we've chipped in 750 each for spending money. Lets go Miami!!

Rumpole you wonderful fool...YOU CALLED IT. MIAMI WOULD WIN and you called it and me and my girl have won over 4K by following your picks. We are going to NYC because of your picks two weeks ago and now we have enough spending money to eat at one of those fancy restaurants you are always writing about. Thank you Rumpole. Thank you. You da man.
