Just who has the joie de vivre that must be expressed on 12th Street (or is it 12th avenue? We always get confused)
And why are practice zones needed?
A mystery begs an answer.
LOVE AND MARRIAGE
Love and marriage go together like....Judge Cohn and a federal indictment? No, that's not how the song goes. But that's how the feds roll, when they indicted a husband and wife, arrested them almost in their martial bed- in pari delicto as it were- and accused them of marriage fraud/immigration fraud most foul. You see in the good ol' USA you can marry for love or money, but not for citizenship.
But cupid pulled back his arrow and it landed in the august offices of everyone's favourite federal blogger- David O Markus with a K. And if Mr. Markus is anything, he is a romantic. Quick to leap to the defense of a client, Mr. Markus was faster than a barefoot jack rabbit on a hot greased griddle in defense of love and marriage. Mr Markus, along with an all-star cast of lawyers- Fred Haddad (sans tie, natch) and Paul Petruzzi- stood firm for love and brought the feds to the eve of trial, where, like a forlorn senior without a date for the prom, they decided to stay home and dismissed their case.
The Sun Sentinel love sonnet is here.
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things,
some shall be pardoned, and some punished,
for never was a story of more woe
than this of Juliet and her Romeo.
Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare. Act V, scene III.
See you in court. Amor Vincit Omnia.*

The sign is on 13th Ave, by where the Corrections buses exit the Sally port.
Rumor has it judge Jackie Schwartz cussed out and threatened to sue the owner of the Kwik Stop because there was an opponents sign posted (on video) she must be stopped.
Brilliant post. You're the best writer in Miami by far.
Thanks Mom.
Time to start gearing up for (American) football season; only one month until training camps.
THE CAPTAIN REPORTS:
BREAKING .....
Governor Scott signs Charlotte's Web bill into law.
Here is the PR:
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced he has signed legislation related to Charlotte’s Web, a low-THC cannabis used to treat certain illnesses such as epilepsy in children. Senate Bill 1030 and 1700 were both signed, approving the medication and protecting patient information in the compassionate use registry.
Governor Scott said, “As a father and grandfather, you never want to see kids suffer. The approval of Charlotte’s Web will ensure that children in Florida who suffer from seizures and other debilitating illnesses will have the medication needed to improve their quality of life. I am proud to stand today with families who deserve the ability to provide their children with the best treatment available.”
Next up, the voters will decide, in November, whether medical marijuana will become legal in Florida. Remember that it takes 60% to change the Florida Constitution.

@9:18 I heard the same thing. There is a video of her throwing a fit and then getting into her car that has a campaign sign on it. I bet the JQC will be looking into this.
Rumpole - you need to get the dish on the Judge Jackie rumor. PLEASE say it ain't so. I'm not even a supporter - it just sounds too much like Broweird.
Any idea which Kwik stop owner was involved in this unfortunate moment?
