PALINDROMES

Palindromes. They are not just "Madam I am Adam"   Palindromes are words or phrases that read the same backwards and forwards.

There are also Palindrome dates, the best being the full eight digits. Those are rare. We had one this past week:  12/02/2021.

There will be only 12 eight-digit palindrome dates this century. The next is March 2, 2030- 03/02/2030.

Most of you didn't know this until you read this blog.

Now you do.

Now for some news to bring you back down from your Palindrome high.

Nice. Rhymes with weird movie in the 80s called Videodrome with James Woods.

"Madam I am Adam" is NOT a palindrome.

If you reversed the letters, it would read "Madam aim Adam."

"Madam I'm Adam" is a palindrome. The contraction makes the difference.

and if you have an old fashioned digital calculator - you know the one with the 'square' dash numbers that you used to type 07734 and turn upside down to read hello (or for you as a teenage boy, rump, 58008) you could put in the date 12/02/2021 and it would read the date not just as a palindrome but upside down too.
