TODAY

Today is the tomorrow you were so worried about yesterday.

This year is the new year you were so worried about last year.

In 2019 we celebrated on New Years eve  with the hope (and some with the firm conviction) that 2020 would be better.

HA.

But that is the point. New years are not necessarily better than years gone by.

2021 could be worse than 2020. Blink. Breathe. Relax. This is true.

Or it could be better.

It is up to us.

It is up to you.

Stay apart.

Wear a mask.

Get vaccinated.  And then continue to stay apart and wear a mask until the virus dies out.

Remain healthy and be prepared to meet our next challenge.

As sure as the sun rose this morning, and as sure as last year ended last night, there is a new challenge coming to each of us individually, as a community in Miami, as a country of the United States, and as citizens of this small blue planet.

Are you ready for the challenge?

We are.

Happy New Year.

At midnight tonight, the worst nightmare of a judge is really, really gone forever.

No more having Dava start every fucking sentence with, " don't mean to be rude but,..."

Now, in her old courtroom, you will actually have a chance to finish a sentence without being interrupted. It will be like a breath of fresh air. Kinda like drug court with Laura Cruz vs. Jeri Beth Cohen. Laura listens and is very nice.

I wonder how long she will keep her Bar listing as a judge Tunis at the MJB?
