In my 14 years as an Assistant State Attorney, supervising Sterno was probably both the most fun and the most challenging. He was a great friend, but at the same time it was like trying to control and redirect a hurricane on a daily basis. He cared deeply about each and every one of his cases and he was dedicated to doing the right thing. I will always cherish those days and his friendship. Have a safe journey David.

David was just a wonderful, kind, gentle person. He always had time for a person in need and was never judgmental. I hope to see him in heaven.
THIS HAS ME SCARED:

Lynne and I met David while we worked at the State Attorney's Office. We will always remember the firework show that David displayed on New Year's Eve 1999 at our home. I will remember the Saturday morning basketball and flag football games. You will forever be missed. One of the good guys.
RIP my friend Sterno .... I always enjoyed our weekend golf games at the California Club with you and Dan Lurvey.
I appreciated the way you represented the State whenever we had a case against each other and I will never forget that great trial before Judge Rob Pineiro. One of my favorite and most memorable closing arguments.
Another member of the Lurvey foursome.
