Week Eight.

All of Miami remains transfixed as CK and I battle onwards. For seven weeks we have picked a winner in the NFL. Last week is was just a matter of inches that was all the difference as the Cardinals missed a last second game winning field goal that would have sent CK to his just rewards and a well earned second place.

This week Rumpole picks: I was going to pick the Giants when I got CK's email stating he was going to pick the Giants. Hmmm...that would guarantee a week 9 in our titanic struggle. I could switch to the Titans over the Raiders, and you never know-a little fish and chips might be all the Fins were needing to come out and play some football. So just because I want to myself a reason to root for the Dolphins (and to watch the game sober) , I will make the switch:

Rumpole: Titans over Raiders.
CK: Giants over Dolphins.

Now lets make some $$$$:

We like the Under in the NY Giants/Miami game played in cold and wet London. Under 48.

Can the Redskins stop the Cheaters wrecking machine? Can Judge Adrien get his audit below a thousand cases? The answer to both questions is: "probably not." Take the over 48 here (and over 1000 cases while you're at it.)

Jax at Tampa Bay: battle of great defenses. We like the under 33.5.

Is Rump going to pick a winner?

Sure: take the Colts -6 over the Panthers. Take em big.

See You in Court tomorrow.

more importantly, its time for everyone to get behind Jorge Cueto (he can't take money from defense lawyers because he's a prosecutor). Velis cannot win. Well, she can, and that is the problem.

These are some factors that MAY contribute to a Dolphins upset:

1) Dolphins are undefeated outside of the continental US.

2) Giants pre-game meal of Mutton and Blood Pudding may not sit well the by the third quarter.

3) Giants players have stated that upon landing in London they would NOT MIND THE GAP.(You have to have ridden the tube to get the joke)

4) Dolphins have pre-game rally in Trafalgar Square. As a team they will sing a new version of RULE BRTIANNIA:

When Britain first, at Heaven's command
Arose from out the azure main;
This was the charter of the land,
And guardian angels sung this strain:
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."

The GIANTS, not so blest as thee,
Must, in their turns, to DOLPHINS fall;
While CLEO LEMMON shalt flourish great and free,
The dread and envy of them all.
"Rule, CAM CAMERSON! CAM CAMERON RULES THE FIELD!
THE DOLPHINS NEVER NEVER NEVER WILL LOSE TO THE GIANTS

"Britons never will be slaves

Hey Rump; doesn't the "new" Wembley Stadium have a retractable roof? Will it be closed for the game - therefore no weather issues?

A total embarrasment for the NFL front office people. Didn't anybody know anything about the type of field/grass they use over there.

Going to win the Dolphins/Giants under 48. Going to win the Colts -6, as the Colts win- what did I tell you? Colta win BIG.

So far so good.

I post a SOLID 3-1- winning on the Dolphins under and Colts -6 (the parlay will buy me a very very nice LCD TV by the way. I loved those two games.) Also won on the Cheaters over 48, and lost on the Jax/Tampa under.

Rumpole said...

I've been to that pinic every year. I didn't even hear about it this year. Sorry.

Did anyone notice that CABA was responsible for most of the wo/manpower and being there at 6:ooam to start roasting the pig so EVERYONE in all the other booths could eat?

Did anyone notice that 5:19 is a complete jerk?

One more, sorry:

Did anyone else notice that Segarra was drunk at the LOP event?

Anyone else starting to think Rumpole may be that fat ass cop in the Channel 10 video? I mean not a peep from Rumpole on the subject.

New post on the menu:

Jeff Weinsier should do a piece on the records of the Miami Dade Schools Police. A collection of rejects, misfits and castoffs from other departments.

No winners on the Channel 10 arrest.
Jeff Weinsier gets an arrest on his record, although it will likely be no actioned. It was so obvious that he wanted to get arrested to sensationalize the story. I wish I could have seen his face when Corrections had him stripped down and told him to spread his cheeks. Like they say Jeff, "you can beat the rap, but you cant beat the ride."

The officer will be reprimanded and suspended for being an idiot and making a stupid arrest. First, he should have known that standing on the sidewalk is not against the law. Second, had he called anyone "with a brain" and asked what he should do. Hey officer, did you know that have an ASA on call 24 hours per day so that you can ask questions about situations like this.

KFR will, of course, catch sh%t from John Rivera and the PBA for no actioning this case, saying how the officer warned Weinsier 50 times before arresting him and that the SAO doesnt back up the police, blah, blah, blah.

Mark Eiglarsh will take all the credit for getting the case no actioned, although a first year medical student could get this one thrown out.

Excuse me 9:43 AM why file if you will no action?

I shall profess ignorance over the Channel 10 incident. I know some reporter was arrested on school grounds with a firearm. I don't know why and I have not seen any video.

I guess I just don't have any interest in the arrest. I am reading several books and outside of the blog and cashing my football bets, and maintaining my yacht, I don't have much free time and other than a 3-4 mile run every day, I don't do much else outside of work.

You better be careful criticizing Bush, Rumpole. Many journalists in this country have been fired, imprisoned, or gone missing after dissenting fron this administration.

You are very brave.
