Well assuming Fajardo is a lock, it’s one name from the list for circuit.

What time is the announcement expected?

My guess will be Orshan, Enriquez, and Hansen. TBD.

My money is on Fajardo and Darrough for Circuit and Enriquez for County.

All three judges who led to these openings resigned for either inappropriate behavior or what was perceived as a lack of judgment. That does not say much about the overall quality of the state bench. And while I know that many will offer defenses for these three judges, it does not look good that all three of their resignations occurred under less than ideal circumstances. One has to wonder what, if anything, can be done to attract better judges with varying personal and professional backgrounds, including, but not limited to, better pay.

Hellman is the dark horse

For anyone that watched the Monday Night Football MNF game tonight. Ravens at Raiders. Just crazy. What an ending. Or should I say the two endings.

Rumpole. That first week of NFL games shows how difficult it is to set odds in week one of NFL games. Out of 16 games only four favorites covered. I wonder if that’s a record for a single week.

Cap Out …..

Dear ever-prescient Rumpole: When will DeSantis be making this announcement?

Congratulations to Daniel's Covfefe who racked up a yuuuge point total this week in the Justice Building FF League, defeating Johnny's Sack. There may be no stopping this juggernaut.

I thought the governor only has 60 days from when the names are sent up? What happens now?

THE CAPTAIN REPORTS:

NEW JUDGES UPDATE:

Something fishy going on up in Tallahassee.

The Governor has 60 days to make his appointments. The 60th day was on Friday, September 10. I spoke with the General Counsel's office for Gov. DeSantis on Monday and they told me that the appointments had been made. I responded "well I guess I will have to wait until 4-5 pm today for the press release". The person on the other end of the line said there would be no press release today (Monday). It's now Tuesday at 5:56 pm and still no press release.

I am going to take a wild guess that the two Circuit Court Judges are:

Ariana Fajardo Orshan
Jeffrey Kolokoff

I have no guess for the County Court seat.
