SUPER BOWL WHATEVER

It's that time of year again when Rumpole gives you the bets to make your super-bowl Sunday fun AND profitable- like a trafficking trial in Key West or Las Vegas.

Long time and careful readers know that Rumpole's success rate in these picks runs north of 95%. We always give you the coin toss lock bet, and who else by Rumpole told you take the Eagles and the money line last year?

Didja know the Cheaters margin of victory (wins and losses) in all their super bowls is between 3 and 4 points? We did.

So here we go...go under the mattress, get your savings and double or triple it by listening to Rumpole.

Total Times Jim Nance and Tony Romo say "Gronk" during the game: Over 2.5 (-110). (-110 means you have to lay 110 dollars to win a 100. +110 would mean you bet 100 to win 110).

Which will be higher? Donald Trump approval rating on 2/4/2019 as per Rasmussen Reports (+110) or longest field goal made (-140), Longest field goal for sure.

Tom Brady throwing an interception (-110). Take it.

Take the under 64 and take the Cheaters -2

Take the Rams + 1/2 in the first quarter and Rams + 1/2 for first half.

Personally, we are putting a grand on the Rams money line to make the game interesting, although it's 50-50 Rumpole is at the Met in NYC during the game (come say hello- we like the Renaissance Art).
More picks to come throughout the weekend and we will post our 100% guaranteed lock winner coin toss bet before the game kicks off.  It's 16 degrees and bone chilling cold here in Manhattan.

SATURDAY NIGHT: After a wonder dinner at Boucherie Union Square, where we highly recommend the foie gras, and -if you're going to have it anywhere have it here- steak tartare, as well as the porterhouse with truffle butter (although we had the two pound grilled lobster), we spent an evening with some literary big-wigs, pondering our super bowl bets.

Pending a complex barometric analysis, predicted wind speed at field level at 6:26 p.m., as well as the weight of the coin and the flipper's thumb strength, we will post our super bowl lock coin flip prediction.  It's trending "tails" btw.
It's tails all the way.

Your MVP is QB Goff or RB Gurley.

THE CAPTAIN REPORTS:

IN OTHER NEWS .....

Congrats go out to former Miami-Dade Judge Jonathan Colby. A few readers have alluded to what has been widely reported in the news recently. But, Rumpole's guidelines are very clear - no personal items on the Blog unless that person specifically authorize it.

After checking with Judge Colby, he has given his express permission to post the information that was already reported online at People.com and Dailymail.com (among other magazines) and by our own Miami Herald scribe David O'Valle.

Judge Colby expressed to me that he is engaged to Elisabeth Rohm; that she is the kindest and most loving woman and his best friend too. He went on to state that, "my year's since leaving the bench have been serving love, kindness and compassion to those less fortunate with [his] therapy Golden Retriever Bailey. Veterans, hospice, special needs children and Alzheimer's patients. I truly miss my days with my terrific friends and colleagues at the Justice Building. Those were some of the greatest relationships that I ever made. I'm so proud to have served our community and my life of SERVICE continues. I am truly blessed".

Happy to hear the great news and keep doing what you are doing.

Thanks for the advice Rump. But, the spread is 2 1/2; so if I take the Cheaters I have to give 2.5. Second, the over under is 56 1/2, not 64. Finally, we all remember what happened last year with your SB coin toss prediction.

Meanwhile as for prop bets I’m taking Makes Me Wonder at +500 as the first song sung by Maroon Five.

Also taking Yes CBS will show replay of missed PI call in Rams v Saints game -130.

Finally, taking the over 1.5 on amount of times they show Giselle Bundchen on TV. +125.

Rump-I got amazing odds at the independent and best sports book in Vegas : VSiN-
First I got Rams +3.5 when I bet 10,000 or more. I put 11,500 on Rams +3.5 so I am a winner.
And I got 3200-1 that CBS will mention Jon Colby's DATE last night with Kim Kardashian which upends her marriage and his pending nuptials.

A statement from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell:

"The events reported in social media overnight have not affected the offer from the NFL to have former Miami Supreme Court District Judge John Juan Colby as guest Line Judge for the game. Judge Colby is welcome in the replay booth to assist in reviewing line calls. However due to previous commitments Judge Colby will not be on the field to judge the coin toss."

PETA weighed in on the emerging social media scandal saying the celebrity Judge's branding about of his service dog Rufus T Woofels in a bid to save his reputation is "repugnant".

From the: KNOW YOUR LOCAL RULES column, courtesy Law.com:

Roger Stone, a longtime ally and confidant to President Donald Trump, pleaded not guilty in Washington federal court Tuesday, accompanied by his Florida attorneys after initial hiccups in court filings raised uncertainty about his representation.

The Republican operative appeared with Fort Lauderdale attorneys Robert Buschel of Buschel & Gibbons and Grant Smith of StrategySmith after a magistrate judge twice said they failed to follow local rules to appear. Stone was also joined by Washington lawyer L. Peter Farkas of Halloran Farkas + Kittila.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Deborah Robinson issued an order Monday stating Buschel and Smith failed to file motions to appear pro hac vice signed by a sponsoring member of the D.C. Bar. In a subsequent order denying the pro hac vice motion filed later Monday, Robinson noted Farkas, whose name appeared on the signature lines of the motions, did not file the motions and had not filed a notice of appearance.

Robinson said the attorneys had until 9 a.m. Tuesday to fix the problems. Farkas’ notice of appearance showed up on the docket just before 10:30 a.m.

Hey Dufus (Rumpole). There is no wind; the dome will be closed at the time of the coin toss. And if you're taking Under 64, I am taking Over 48.

Over/Under: PointsBet set the over/under at 56 points, while Westgate has the total at 56.5.
“Over” might be the safest bet of the bunch, as the two teams are averaging a combined 67 points per game in the playoffs this year, and 60.2 points per game in the regular season. With the conditions set to be perfect inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Super Bowl 53 could be a shootout.

The best super bowl party was the last super bowl party at The REN (a venue) when they brought in a WHOLE KOBE BEEF COW for what was rumored a cool 200K. You haven't lived until you've had a kobe beef brisket smoked for 20 hours, or a nice grilled kobe beef ribeye with truffle butter and kobe beef bone marrow sauce with a jumbo grilled prawn.

A pasta made from fresh Italian flour stone ground. A shaved truffle cheese sauce. New Zealand lamb meet balls.
Hawaiian pineapple shaved iced with pineapples flown in from Hawaii.
California Newberry boysenberry pie (google it) was worth every bit of the $35/slice.

And the Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 was flowing like water.

Yee haw dems eats!

HOW DOES HE DO IT?
Every single year Rumpole nails the coin toss. It's unbelievable. He nailed the under as well and also Brady throwing and INT and the Rams +1/2 for first quarter. The guy is a football betting savant.

Jimmy The Greek says:

Rumpole, you picked six winners out of ten bets. Congrats. But, on your biggest bet by far, laying $1,000 on the money line and taking the Rams, you lost. So, you bet a total of $1,962 but only won $1,262, for a net loss of $700. Pay the Piper Rumpy.

Captain, your tally on your ten props bets was 5 wins and 5 loses. You bet $1,112 and returned $1,140. Congrats, you won $28, just enough to pay for your breakfast at the Bellagio.

As for the rest of you knuckleheads, pay up or you'll get a visit from Vinnie who knows how to break kneecaps.

NO I said I personally was going to take the money line on the Rams. MY PICK WAS THE CHEATERS take a look at the blog.
I won EVERY BET I gave out except the Rams first half + .5.
I won: Brady throwing an int; Rams +.5 first quarter; UNDER; Cheaters -2.5; and the dead lock winner I never lose- the coin toss. In my PICKS I went 5-1.
Personally I did a parlay Under and Rams first quarter (win) Under and Rams first half (loss) Under and Pats second half (big win).
