Rumpole said...

correct- which attorney beat him in an election and what even stupider thing did that judge do that caused him to resign? Plus- we do not know if our good friend Ted said that- all we know is that is was a common courthouse rumor at the time. We give Ted the benefit of the doubt.

ED Newman did indeed have to drop out when he filed a mite bit too early- what attorney was he running against at the time?

In Group 78, Valerie Manno still has NO opposition.

In Group 79, both Marie Davidson and Tony Marin HAVE qualified.

In Group 80, both Marisa Mendez and Catherine Parks HAVE qualified.

Rima Bardawil, who filed in Group 80, has yet to qualify. Will she jump to Group 78 and face Manno?

Will someone else jump into one of the races???

Hey Jason, I think it's time to start lobbying your local legislator to change the rules - quickly!!!!!

CAPTAIN JUSTICE said...

AND STILL MORE NEWS:

In Group 78, Manno may have an opponent. Jose Ramon Sanchez-Gronlier, has filed his papers as a candidate. Sanchez-Gronlier has offices in Coral Gables, has been a member of The Florida Bar for almost 15 years, and is the Vice-Chair of the Florida Bar's Traffic Court Rules Committee.

Looks like Sanchez-Gronlier will be cross-appealing to both the Hispanic as well as the French voters.

Jason,

You get so angry, it is great. From hence forth, you shall be known as Japoleon.

Dear Japoleon:

Would you rather have politically connected cronies appointed for life? At least this way, when a judge is rude, ruthless and vindictive, he or she can be challenged. Don't even say merit retention, because that is a joke.

So, Japoleon, please calm down and stop writing stupid things on the blog.

I've only been in practice for 6 years and I wouldn't think of running for judge although it would double my salary. Could someone 'qualified', ie, experience with jury trials etc, (things that you write about Jason, captain, rump, et al.) tell me why you aren't running for judge? When I've been around for 15 years will I be making so much $ that I won't want to lower my pay? or will I be jaded by that point? or be 'too good' to be a judge? It seems like a good job. Why don't more qualified people run?

Thank goodness Jason Grey started posting again so people can stop attacking me.

As to the comments under yesterday's post and Gina Mendez: 1) I do not dislike her. Many years ago I tried a case against her (that settled in the middle) and I felt she was very fair and competent.

2) I am not sure, but I think I voted for her last time against Murphy because I did not know Murphy and I have a long standing belief that ex-prosecutors generally make the best judges. Of course, I will now be voting for Murphy as I think he is a great Judge.

3) I have no idea who Rumpole will be endorsing and I wish people would get back to accusing Rick Freedman of being Rumpole.

4) I am not a candidiate for judge. if nominated, I will not run. If elected I will not serve. My ambitions are westward, not upward.

My Dear Wellington,

Angry, yes.
Stupid? NO.
French, Certainly not!
I am sick and tired of five-year wonders running for judge.
It bothers me that someone with no experience, life, or legal can win a judgeship.
It irks me when people for whom I am required by law to stand upon their entry don’t know the law, the rules of evidence, the rules of criminal procedure, or what it is like to battle before a Jury.
It offends me when lawyers who are incapable of earning a decent living see a Judgeship as an easy way to a pay raise and a 20-hour workweek.
It is sobering to think that these same people have the power to sentence a Human being to the statutory maximum upon any conviction, tear families apart, issue warrants to search peoples homes, warrants to arrest, and impose the death penalty.
I am unable to comprehend the hubris of a person in their early thirties five years out of law school who aspires to hold such power.
We are talking about Peoples lives.
I’m Angry and proud

The reason we need young judges with no credentials is to enforce some of the dumb ass laws in the state of florida.

Here is a list of real laws (this is not a joke) of dumb ass laws in florida:

Women may be fined for falling asleep under a hair dryer, as can the salon owner.

A special law prohibits unmarried women from parachuting on Sunday or she shall risk arrest, fine, and/or jailing.

If an elephant is left tied to a parking meter, the parking fee has to be paid just as it would for a vehicle.

It is illegal to sing in a public place while attired in a swimsuit.

Men may not be seen publicly in any kind of strapless gown.

Having sexual relations with a porcupine is illegal.

It is illegal to skateboard without a license.

When having sex, only the missionary position is legal.

You may not fart in a public place after 6 P.

It is considered an offense to shower naked.

You are not allowed to break more than three dishes per day, or chip the edges of more than four cups and/or saucers.

Oral sex is illegal.

You may not kiss your wife's breasts.

Penalty for horse theft is death by hanging.

We welcome the new judges to help enforce the laws of florida

Anonymous said...

You May Need A New Lawyer If:

Your lawyer tells you that his last good case was of Budweiser.

When the prosecutors see your lawyer, they high-five each other.

Your lawyer picks the jury by playing "duck-duck-goose."

Your lawyer tells you that he has never told a lie.

A prison guard is shaving your head

You must be a total dumbass! To be a Judge, if you knew anything, you have to win 50.1% of the total vote on your election, or face a runoff election on November. Don't count your chickens. To think you thought you were all smart with that post. By the way, too bad you are going to be farm less soon. LOL!

Here is your Fortune: Joe Fernandez wins and you cry all night for a month before filing a complaint to revive the Jim Crow Laws and amend them to include all Hispanics.

I know why everyone wants to be a Judge! It is because you get to multiply your personal worth by 6 in one and a half short years! You think I am kidding? Well, Judge Shirloyn McWhorter went from being worth $100K to multiplying it to over $620K in less than two years! (Check her financial disclosures.)

That is enough reason to run boys and girls!

Well, unless she is lying. But Shirloyn would never lie because she is the best Judge on the County Court Bench and we all love her and her new 5 series BMW as well as her colorful attire. Go Shirloyn!

PS Can you write a book on how to get rich quick?

So when you go to the polls, give me your vote.

IT SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY WHEN WE WERE DEBATING THE SAME SHIT. DO YOU GUYS REMEMBER 2004, THE SAME CRAP ALL OVER AGAIN, JUST DIFFERENT NAMES.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT REMEMBER READ THIS:

By Marc Caputo and Jay Weaver
The Miami Herald
May 8, 2004

TALLAHASSEE FL - Political consultant Bob Levy nervously checked the clock at 11:50 a.m. Friday in the state's division of elections.

He had 10 minutes to advise his client, judicial candidate Judy Rubenstein, to switch to a different Miami-Dade County Court race now that a Hispanic candidate had qualified to run against her and incumbent Judge Jeffrey Swartz.

Levy said Rubenstein and Swartz would split the Jewish vote and that candidate Ada Pozo Revilla would win in November because Hispanic voters would probably flood the polls.

As the noon qualifying deadline loomed, Levy called Rubenstein at the Miami-Dade County elections office to switch and challenge newcomer Valerie Manno for another county court seat.

Thus, the Byzantine politics of Miami-Dade judicial elections played out Friday, as a few insiders such as Levy analyzed ethnic surnames, campaign contributions and last-minute opportunities in 32 county and state circuit court races.

''It's a little nerve-racking,'' Levy said.

``But it's a lot of fun.''

It's not always enjoyable for the candidates.

At the Miami-Dade elections office, Rubenstein told Manno that she didn't mean to change her mind just before the noon deadline.

Campaign's Strength

Rubenstein told The Herald that she and Levy made the decision based on the strength of Pozo Revilla's campaign, her ethnicity and fundraising ability.

For similar reasons, Rubenstein also declined to run against Haitian-American incumbent Fred Seraphin.

''It was not just an ethnic issue,'' said Rubenstein, legal counsel for the Miami-Dade Police Department.

''Running against [Manno] was not my first choice, but that open seat was the obvious place for me to go,'' she added.

Had Rubenstein stayed put, Manno would have been elected Friday because she was the only candidate in that race.

The incumbent, Raphael Steinhardt, did not seek reelection.

Racial Dominoes

The contest's racial dominoes began falling last week when Pozo Revilla, a former assistant public defender, targeted the Rubenstein-Swartz race rather than challenge Circuit Judge William Johnson. He's black and an incumbent.

Unless opponents have political dirt at the ready, sitting judges are virtually impossible to beat in Miami-Dade because they have status, name recognition and money -- invaluable advantages in a vast, complex county.

Sixteen circuit judges and 10 county judges drew no challengers Friday and won. That left four contested circuit court and two county court races in the Aug. 31 election -- a lineup shaped by the retirement of three judges. Runoffs will be held Nov. 2.

On Friday, some candidates, supporters and consultants made the traditional pilgrimages to the county elections office in West Miami-Dade or the state elections division in Tallahassee.

Last-minute Move

William L. Thomas was among them. An African American, he points out he's in a circuit race against an Anglo, a Cuban and a Jew. Thomas, who paid his $5,300 qualifying fee at 9:30 a.m., stuck around the elections office until the deadline only to see Catherine B. Parks qualify at 11:59 a.m. Cameras whirred and reporters started asking Parks why she waited so long.

Thomas, an assistant federal public defender, jumped in with a smile and an answer: ``So she can get on television.''

''If anyone's going to make any surprises, it may as well be us,'' said Parks, who is white, acknowledging that she acted on advice from Levy.

Besides longtime judicial handlers Gerald Schwartz, Armando Gutierrez and Susan Fried, Levy is a must-hire for many candidates who want advice on developing name recognition in a race where mayoral candidates take center stage.

On Friday, circuit judge candidate Peter Adrien decided to earn some name recognition on the cheap. He gave himself a new middle name: ``Camacho.''

Formal Name

Adrien, a lawyer for the Dade County Legal Aid Society, ran under his formal name in a bid for the circuit court in 2000.

Back then, he was Peter Sylvester Adrien.

Now he's going by Peter ''Camacho'' Adrien. He said he chose to use his mother's Portuguese maiden name, Camacho, because he felt voters were confused by his middle name, Sylvester, in the previous election.

'I'm running on my credentials, not on the name `Camacho,' '' said Adrien, who is originally from Antigua.

Schwartz, who represents Circuit Judge Henry H. Harnage, said Adrien is trying to mislead voters into believing he's Hispanic. ''If I run for office as Gerry ``Camacho'' Schwartz, people are going to get a different idea about me,'' he said

unfortunately all us lawyers pontificating about who will be an acceptable judge is an exercise in futility. our little voices in the regjb make up about 6.5% of the electorate who will be deciding who we will practice in front of. the rest of the voters predictably make their decisions based on name, suspected race, religion, where your name is on the list, etc. there must be a better way. do you really believe Rose Steinberg in aventura knows the difference between larry schwartz or gina mendez? she's going for the jew. God bless her. this system is what gives us judges like postman, adrien, etc and the only one that really suffers (other then a lawyer's ego)is joe defendant or sarah victim because some bombastic judge denies them justice.

Anonymous said...

Interesting that Judge Judy Rubenstein was one of Levy's clients and also paid Juan's Pericles for consulting services.

Similarly a look at Barbara Areces campaign finance report shows that she paid Juan over $3000 for consulting services and also hired Bob Levy for over $6000 for consulting services.

I would like to know how if lawyers only make up a small percentage of the voters why should they get a bigger say on who the judges are?

Lawyers do not own the justice building. Lawyers do not have a monopoly on elected officials.

All this talk on your blog, is just that talk. The votes of Miami-Dade get the say.

Anonymous said...

I agree, Judge Beth Bloom is horrible.

To the many people that want to libel Judge Hernandez saying he has a JQC investigation, please call the JQC and check that there is none! Stop being stupid and tell the truth, you just hate the fact that this man does not kiss ass like the rest of the Judges or that he is not care to save the establishment. Like the Herald, unhappy that minorities (excluding blacks) get on the bench. What about 20-30 years ago when Hispanics tried to run and get elected? No one seem to be upset about the fact that everyone voted for Smith, Schwartz, Goldstein, etc. and not Diaz, Hernandez, Alvarez and so forth. The Anglo majority back then had signs that stated: “No Shirt, No Shoes, No Cubans” and “Go Back to Where you Came From!” Did you all forget about that? Truth be told, this Blog represents the current minority of the voters and as such will be the unhappy group come September 5th at 10 pm. It sucks to be you!

Want a JQC or Indictment? Look at those who are making the big bucks on the campaigns by scaring candidates or the candidates who took the time to scare their opponents off or at least try. It is no secret that Steve Milan is being harassed for being Catholic by this Blog. That Armanteros was contacted repeatedly by Judges and Lawyers and threatened. Alvarez was harassed by Hector Lombana and promised many things to run at a different seat that he now sued to make it an appointed one. Hernandez is being smeared in an effort to get him bad press, regardless of the fact there is no evidence against the man. That Gonzalez has had his personal file abused by the Administrative Judges, regardless of it being personal. That Gloria Gonzalez was visited by her Judge opponent at her office and asked for her to be fired. That Gina received a threatening phone call. That Shelly is being black mailed by his own colleagues. Poor Rippingaile is being attacked by her own colleagues as well. That Jacobi and Pino are hated because many of the Blog readers are simply jealous that these two wonderful lawyers are following their dreams. As Charlie Crist, I stand by the hardworking Hispanics who will and are taking the bull by the horns and will in less than 10 years own the majority of the Judicial Seats of the 11th and there is nothing you can do about it! Move to Palm Beach or learn to deal with it. Immigration will continue and Spanish, the language of business for the Americans will dominate South Florida. Thanks to Commissioner Jose "Pepe" Diaz, Sergio Pino and others we will soon be the home city for NAFTA!

Call Hispanics what you want. As a matter of fact, I would ask you that you call us Roaches. You know why? Because we do not die, we multiply and as history has proven, we will be here long after you are gone. Say Hello to My Little Hispanic Friends! Las Cucarachas!

Nothing wrong with qualified hispanics running or seeking appointment.

But dont blindly support those who are cuban, because you are cuban. Because then, you are just part of the uneducated public that has no concern over the quality of the judiciary.

Buenos Noches.

as any moron knows JQC complaints are confidential until formal charges are filed with the Supreme Court and then its all public. Investigations take time. The JQC has former FBI agent working for them and they are no fools.

I did contact the JQC and they could not confirm or deny that hernandez has a pending investigation against him. They are condiential pee brain.

also note all the respected hispanic lawyers are not supporting Hernandez or gonzalez. All you have to do is look to Judge B. Miller campaign contributions vs. Hernandez or Gonzalez and you begin to see who is qualified in the eyes of the Hispanic community of educated people. Its not Hernandez or Gonzalez.

if you have any doubts about Judge Hernandez and JQC investigation pending just click this link and you see were that argument goes.

http://www.operationrestorejustice.com/Farina%20JQC%20Let%203.30.2005.pdf

Judge Hernandez and his side kick friend Gonzalez should be ashamed of themselfs for insulting the hispanic community. Come the end of August I can assure you that the spanish media will be exposing Hernandez and Gonzalez for who they are.

Anonymous said...

It is not called qualified, it is called scaring people to donate. Something will happen, but it will be to focus on the real law breakers. Do you deny that the so called victims are guilty of victimizing? You know, this is America and aside from the Indians, we all came here in some boat, raft or by crossing the border. Have your opinion, but remember to respect ours.

Hernandez is not disliked because he doesn't kiss ass,he is disliked because he associates with and protects, slimy little scumballs who seek to subvert the Judicial system and turn it into a corrupt circus freakshow with attractions like Juan Gonzalez and George Alvarez. Thus some people are working like the dickens to make sure that come January Ivan Hernadez will be checking the want ads in the Daily Business Review

The Captain reports:

THE FINAL CHAPTER:

What began as a wonderful career ended on a sad note for former attorney Knovack Jones, on Thursday, in courtroom 2-8 before Judge Schlesinger.

As I wrote about earlier this week, Jones pled guilty to Grand Theft and Forgery after stealing over $368,000 from her clients while handling a Probate case for them.

Late Thursday afternoon, the Judge sentenced Jones to 5 years in prison followed by 20 years of Probation. 240 months to pay back the money.

a very sad story ......

Miller is not Hernandez's opponent- dumb ass.

I don't know Jones, but were we supposed to believe that she had no idea that this Nigerian thing was a scam? Like those two attorneys who got busted for bringing pot into the jail. Are these people that naive??

Why does the Law society prohibit sex between lawyers and their clients?
To prevent clients from being billed twice for essentially the same service!

CAPTAIN JUSTICE said...

Answering 12:58 pm, Jones was charged with Grand Theft First Degree and Forgery. She was facing up to 35 years in prison.

ASA Gail Levine asked for nine years in prison.

Ans while I don't normally comment - just report the facts - there seems to be a misconception that - because she was scammed - that somehow made her less culpable for the crime.

The fact is, the Nigerian scam is irrelevant to the crime.

She stole $360K from her clients. It was her clients money, not hers. She had no right to touch that money - for any reason. It was in a Trust Account.

There just simply is no excuse for what she did.

I have no comment on the amount of jail time she received. That is a difficult decision - one that Judge Schlesinger must have struggled with. But he obviuosly felt strongly that, becuse she is an attorney and she is expected to carry herself in a professional manner, he held her to a higher standard - and maybe he should have - and he slammed her with 5 years in prison.

It is a very clear message to ALL attorneys. Don't mess with the Trust Account - it is the first way to disbarrment and now also
- a quick ticket to the pokey.

CAPTAIN OUT .............

Anonymous said...

FYI Captain she is not in jail as we speak. she is free and must surrender in August sometime.

Do you think she will flee?

CAPTAIN JUSTICE said...

I am aware of her surrender date.

Anonymous said...

Captain, i figured out who you are.
Steve Levine from the public defender's office.

Anonymous said...

so will she flee??

CAPTAIN JUSTICE said...

1. I am the Captain, not Kreskin, so go ask him if she will flee

2. Levine does not even read the blog - he is too busy spending time in Surfside as an elected Commissioner getting paid $1 a year.

CAPTAIN OUT .................

Hernandez is in a race with Faber, not Miller you idiot. Miller is in the race with Alvarez. Can't you get your ez's straight?

Both the ez brothers are of the same mold, running on their names because they have nothing else to offer. Miller is very competent and qualified, and has a proven record of doing a good job. Faber has a great reputation and is very qualified too. He would also be an asset on the bench.

Anonymous said...

RUMP YOU WANT SOME OF THIS

Anonymous said...

Faber has a great reputation as what? A trial lawyer? He's a blowhard to the core. But Hernandez is worse for surrounding himself around Juan D. So at the end of the day, I guess I will votefor the blowhard. Thank god it ain't a Circuit Ct seat. Jokers, the both of them.

Anonymous said...

The only race I haven't heard anything about is Mills-Francis and Millan. There doesn't seem to be much action from their respective campaigns or interest on this blog. Any scuttlebutt?

OMG. . .there is a family photo of

Cecilia Armenteros-Chavez (Esquire) ((NLPOA Miami Chapter BOD), Victoria Del Pino, Gina Mendez, Patricia Marino-Pedraza, Josie Perez Velis, Stephen Millan, Judge Ivan Hernandez

all together at that event. all of them running for judge. and all of them hired Juan D'Arce as advisor. I smell a rat

Anonymous said...

I am not a fan of Juan D’Arce or Judge Hernandez.

Honestly I have paid less attention to the names of the people running against the incumbent judges. I was thinking who is the low life Juan D’Arce and why all the attention. Now that all the names of those running for judge have come to light it is clear why the State Attorney’s office is involved and why this is bigger than I thought.

This Juan D’Arce was not acting alone. He was backed by the Judge himself. He was backed by those seeking to replace sitting judges.

This is a huge conspiracy that has Judge Ivan Hernandez at the wheel and a JA willing to take the fall for him.

There are about seven people running against sitting judges that are working with Juan D’Arce. Who are they? Here is your list of crooks:

1. Patricia Marino-Pedraza
2. Victoria del Pino
3. Stephen T. Millan
4. Juan F. Gonzalez
5. George A. Alvarez
6. Bonnie Lano Rippingille
7. Cecilia Armenteros-Chavez

Does any one think that indictments may be handed down against any of the names cited or just Juan D’Arce?

Anonymous said...

D'Arce has all of them? Are you sure? I thought he only had Hernandez, Juan Fernandez and George Alvarez.

Anonymous said...

Rippingille is a sitting judge, not an opponent of one. Why would she tie her horse with D'Arce? He likes hispanic candidates, not just ones that speak the language.

Anonymous said...

Where's that reporter on this? Shouldn't the press be investigating this too?

Anonymous said...

I did some snooping checked campaign papers etc. the connection is there.

plus check the link provided above for the family photo

Anonymous said...

I heard they found stuff on the computer too...could this be Court Broom 2?

Anonymous said...

Don Cohn is opposing Rippingdale

It all ties together trust me.

Anonymous said...

I trust no one. Particularly not sitting judges and campaign consultants.

Anonymous said...

I have scooped the State Attorneys office on this Trust me do your own investigation it all leads those seven to Hernandez and D'Arce.

Does anyone in there right mind think that the Miami Dade State Attorneys office is going to issue criminal subpoena's on a sitting judges office without facts.

Lets get real people

Anonymous said...

get the family photo of the seven together in may 2006

Have they issued subpoenas? Don't think so. Even if it's true they're going to sit on this 'cause Kathy has no cajones to go after 'em.

Anonymous said...

how do you think they got the computer from Judge Hernandez office through subpoena .

You know they had to have bugged the telephone lines into Judge Hernandez office to get the dirt they needed for the supoenas.

c'mon guys help me on this one

you guys are so boring about D'Arce, Hernandez, etc. What about THE OTHERS? Marin/Davidson, Cohn/Rippingill, Parks/Mendez/Garcia?

Anonymous said...

I was told by FDLE, the US attorney, the JQC, the state attorney's office, and the FBI that subpoenas, indictments, and arrests are all happening 3 weeks from last tuesday at 4PM. Juan is possibly tied to every judicial candidate in florida, and the blog is being subpoenaed as well and they will disclose every single person who ever posted a comment, or thought of posting a comment.

Rumpole is a combination of 13 people, and 3 of them write a day.

rumpole were are you on this subject.

is the almighty one and only fearless rumpole too scared to take on this subject?

do I hear the sound of chickens....

Can this be a controversy that even rumpole does not want a part of. Has he come to an end

Anonymous said...

Someone was wondering why there is no talk on the MILLS-FRANCIS vs. millan campaign. Here is one possible reason: millan is such a joke it is not even worth talking about. KMF should win in a landslide. Millan is a gladhandling blowhard political hack who is not worth the cost of his lapel pin. I wish he would go away.

Anonymous said...

Not that I am supporting any one candidate but the picture basically is of the National Latino Peace Officers Association and their endorsements. I was in law enforcement and I know this organization and it has NOTHING TO DO WITH D'ARCE. The judicial candidates were asked to submit questionaires and from what I hear a lot of the current judges blew it off. These candidates attended an event for endorsements purposes so let's not crucify them. Just because they endorsed Hernandez, don't assume that Juan D'Arce is involved. If that's true, then all the people the PBA endorsed are working for D'Arce too because Hernandez got endorsed by the PBA! So let's stop this crap

Anonymous said...

Nobody has heard of National Latino Peace Officers Association!New organization are being formed with"endorsement"power just for the judicial races. In existence is a Hispanic Police Officers Association which also did not notify anyone of endorsementyet some candidates suggest they received endorsements.New in the offering,Latin Builders Association did endorsements for what reason?
News media should investigate because we are turning into a community that belies the law and justice for the sake of what?

Anonymous said...

If the Natl Latino Officers had an endorsement process without inviting all candidates that is a violation!

Anonymous said...

It is my understanding that Slom and Liefman were in attendance when they took the faimly photo, but the photographer happen to have left his wide angle lens at home that day. As for Leifman, he was hiding behind Slom anyway.

Anonymous said...

bullshit liar I was there I know slom and leifman were not there.

Anonymous said...

yeah, you a big fat bullshit liar

Anonymous said...

Twenty or thirty years ago you were not complaining when all the endorsements were given to the Anglo candidates by the establishment. Just like in the 60's that you opposed blacks being able to vote - you were wrong then as you were wrong in the time of slavery when you did not think blacks were equals. Stop being so racist and discriminatory and just take it. Populations change and just deal with it. Endorsements may be given to Hispanics without it being unethical or a violation of anything.

Anonymous said...

What happened to the first amendment right to be able to choose who to support in a campaign. Now its illegal for someone to support a candidate against a sitting Judge? I didnt know judicial staff lost their constitutional rights.

If this were so, then Jackie Scola, Laura Milian, Ellen Blake, Karen Shwartz, Shelly Kravitz, Sarah Habel, Meryl Gold-Levy, Arthur Arnald, Sandy Shatzman, Joe Clark's wife, Celest Muir, Victoria del Pino and Juan D'Arce are all in the same boat.

For these reasons, it is impossible for somebody to be indicted for working on a campaign. Do not make unfounded claims about unethicalness or illegal tactics unless you have substantial proof. Articles in the Herald about claims of extortion do not count- they probably obtained these rumors from a biased source.

Anonymous said...

I'm very biased - I despise unqualified candidates - hate them -with a passion

Anonymous said...

Juan at 8:57:37 -
There you go again, letting facts get in the way of your delusions. Judicial staff are bound by the same code of conduct your boss is, the Canons of Ethics. You might want to read them some time. I guess Ivan never did either, or you would both understand that you give up some of your rights by accepting the mantle of the judiciary and agreeing to be bound by a higher standard of ethical conduct. But what's a few details like conflict of interest and appearance of impropriety to you two, huh? So why should anyone care if you sleaze a few more endorsements, right? The reality is you've already lost any ounce of reputation you had, in 6 weeks you lose your boss, and your freedom is next. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Anonymous said...

I guess I missed this one:

Judicial Canon of Ethical Conduct NUMBER 2006-

THOU SHALL NOT BE HIRED BY A JUDICIAL CANDIDATE THAT IS SEEKING ELECTION AGAINST A SITTING JUDGE. PARTICULARLY IF THE INCUMBENT JUDGE IS NON-HISPANIC.
