Of all the mistakes we could make whilst arguing a case this, most assuredly, is NOT one of them.
“Listen, you’re not understanding the issue. Try reading the briefs and not your clerk’s notes….” Yeah, that could happen.
And
“I understand your confusion, having not read any of the cases I have cited …” Sure, that might slip out.
But this mistake? NEVER ever ever.

I remember seeing a lawyer refer to Judge Rhea Grossman as "Honey" during a motion calendar hearing
Can totally understand, after all Your Honor and Your Honey both start with H and she looks (at least from the camera’s angle) kinda sweet 😂
I would have used "sweetheart." Honey would have been my second choice followed by "sugar."
Really no choice at that point than to quit your career and start a new life.
