Item: A month into reopening, Florida reported 8,553 new cases- the most since reopening. 

Item: In Texas y'all, hospitalizations rose 6.3% to 2.056 the highest of the pandemic, and the third increase in three days.

Item: Arizona's new cases spiked in the last two weeks, hitting 1,187 last week.  The Department Of Health asked hospitals to activate their emergency plans to staff all beds*

"There is a new wave coming" as per Eric Toner, senior scholar for Health Security at John Hopkins. 

And yet, the virus, like a Miami Judge coming back from a long lunch during a difficult trial without Cuban coffee, is confounding and confusing and often acts without rhyme or reason. 

Take for example Georgia, where despite the Governor thankfully opening tattoo parlours and bowling alleys before all hell broke loose, the number of new cases has plateaued. California closed first and is still opening slowly. There are no new cases in San Francisco over the last three days, while half the State's new cases are in LA. Tripindicular dude. Totally rad. 

So here we are in the Sunshine State, where the Governor is a conservative and the shots are flowing on South Beach and all is well except our citizens, who are rapidly getting sick.
