They are catching up and, bless their soul, want to be relevant.
This weekend they issued two very relevant press releases. First, noting the shocking crimes the President is accused of, including the Watergate break-in, they called on President Nixon to resign. Well done. A bit late- but well done.
The FACDL also, late to the party, weighed in on everyone's favourite totalitarian judicial candidate Renier Diaz De La I DON'T BELIEVE IN THE PRESUMPTION OF INNOCENCE Portilla.
As Bruce Willis said in Die Hard: "Welcome to the party, Pal."
Better late than never. We mean, Nixon has to go, right?

QUERRY: Let's assume this two-bit politico wins. Where does Judge Sayfie stick him? Bond hearings? Nope- everyone is guilty and won't get a bond.
And speaking of bond hearings, boy is there a bruhaha brewing between our chief judge and our SAO over revamping bond hearings. Talk about your NASTY emails....

I won't follow the law and will do anything to win, so where does he go? Civil won't take him- the big firms won't let someone with his legal provenance in their milieu. DV? Criminal. Can't have that. Seems like the stepping stone to the US Supreme Court is the only place- Hialeah Branch Civil! (And our apologies to the robed readers laboring away in Hialeah civil- you're doing the lord's work and we do not mean to demean you. But NS has to dump his butt somewhere.
We are sure NS would send him to the Crimea branch court if she could, but with the whole Putin/Ukraine thing, that's iffy at best.)

You watch, if Diaz de la Portilla or Jason Bloch win, the JQC will remove them. The Supreme Court has zero tolerance for that bullshit win at all costs campaigning.
Renier will win, sadly. Tunis-Aponte was 43-56. The only unknown in this judicial election is whether Bloch's unprecedented spending will allow a white guy to beat a guy with a Hispanic name. Other than possibly that one, every race will end with the candidate with the Hispanic name winning, and unfortunately Judges Jean, Kolokoff, Janowitz, Watson, and Blumstein will be job hunting or, in many cases, likely heading back to the Miami Dade State Attorney's Office. And the same thing will happen next cycle and again everyone will act like it's some unprecedented thing. I voted for all the judges I mention (except Blumstein, he sucks) and I don't like that they will lose, but hey that's democracy.
Anybody watch the defense opening at the Cruz trial? That was a tough watch. Some of the victims' family members in the audience appeared to be visibly moved judging from their facial expressions.
And maybe Sayfie is a politician herself and wont do anything except let him take the bench as the voters have decided. Why would she go to bat for Seraphin after he's gone by exiling DLP? She's not that dumb.
Maybe the FSC will do something to DLP. Was DLP right in distributing those flyers? Probably not. Will I lose sleep over it? Definitely not.
But for years Seraphin has been a jerk on the bench and he doesnt have my support. He made his bed and now he can lie in it. 99% of the comments on this blog over the past decade have been about how Seraphin has been a jerk on the bench. Now we're supposed to rally around him? Why? Will he change his ways and actually be a decent person on the bench? I dont think so. That ship has sailed.
We don’t know what they have tolerance for because it’s a totally different FL Supreme Court. My guess is the opposite of yours.
