History:
Here is our history lesson for today, courtesy of POTUS 45
The Civil war began April 21, 1861 with the confederate firing on Fort Sumter.
Andrew Jackson, POTUS 7, died in June 1845.
Thus this tweet from our historian in chief:
Earlier in the day POTUS 45 gave an interview in which he stated that Jackson was "really angry" about the civil war and if he were president it wouldn't have happened. The Tweet which was several hours after the interview, was apparently in response to the rest of the civilized world laughing at the president.
Coming Soon: President Woodrow Wilson and the Vietnam war: "He was really really angry about what he saw coming. He would never have let it happen. No Gulf Of Tonkin incident for Wilson!"

The people and arrogance retired Bloch. The JQC and mental instability retired Schwartz. Bad judgment retired Brennan. Get those tools off the dais.
Read Judge Hanzman's scholarly essay "Andrew Jackson- How Old Hickory saw the civil war and wanted to stop it and also left a note for Kennedy to land a man on the moon."
No surprise that Hanzman's name is frequently mentioned to replace Justice Kennedy. Also to be Deputy National Security director and the New CEO of Goldman Sachs. How can this brilliant man NOT be Rumpole's person of the week?
PS retirement in Kennosha, Wisconsin is just grand!
Federal Judges don't retire, and Bloch retired?
The problem is that Whacky Jackie and Mean Victoria are on the list. They're not "retired." They were forced out for horrible misconduct...over and over.
They don't deserve any "honor."
Honestly, I wish they would disappear after all the hurt they caused.
I saw Hanzman and Lurvey huddling in REG and overheard them discussing a lunch at "The Ren" and discussing Brennan's return to the bench.
Thankfully your not a judge. That's what's right with that picture
MAGA
Bloch, Brennan, Schwartz ....pllllleeeeeaaaase, no credibility with that get together.
Schwartz? Really? Kick her out the door.
Bloch and Brennan names should be struck and not permitted to attend. Bloch lost in an election and the mean and incompetent Brennan was forced off in lieu of JQC inquiry which would have thrown her off the bench. Their presence makes a mockery of the retired judges Like Stan and others who have served and retired with honor. Therefor I WILL NOT attend in protest.
That comment also goes for the wacko Schwartz
bc two of the judges resigned for being shady AF
Judge Jackie Schwartz resigned in disgrace. Brennan, convenient early retirement. Jason Block, beaten at the polls. Why are they being invited?
Jackson "owned" between 150-200 people when he died in 1845.
Pretty sure i can figure out his views on slavery without Trump's help.
Judge Cohn is a broweird county judge?
I think Jackie Schwartz and Victoria Brennan have no business being there. They made us all look bad.
As for Bloch, he is retired but, who cares about him anyway.
Bloch can't be listed as a retired judge because he was beaten in an election- everyone else- even those who resigned- can. DUH
On a related note- Judge Hanzman will be running for governor of florida next term and has been appointed to teach at the prestigious London Judicial College- he will have the Marshall Ader chair in conflicts of laws for the summer semester. He will be staying at the corner suite at the Grovesnors house, expenses all paid.
Why isn't colby on the dias? he sticks his nose into everything else...
1:20 PM. So we can at least deduce that you have never stepped foot in Federal Court.
Judge Cohn has been on the Federal bench in Broward since May of 2003. In August of 2016 he announced he would go to Senior status.
Cap Out ....

President Wilson by failing to support at the pease conference, Ho Chi Min's move to free Indochina from French colonial control after WW1, laid the foundation for what would become the Vietnam war. Ho Chi Min wanted an American style independence from French colonial rule, which was suppressed by the USA and the European powers, after WW1, and WW2. Thus leading to post WW2 support by the Soviets in opposition to US & European support of colonial control.
Who is going to the third DCA
Judge Cohn was a hard working ASA in Broward, a very very successful civil practicioner afterwards until he was appointed a state circuit judge there and later appointed to the federal bench. An excellent trial lawyer and trial judge who respected all who were before him litigants and lawyers alike. SAO5
If your kicked off the bench is it against bar rules to hold yourself out as a judge on the official bar website. I.e., Brennan is claiming she is a judge when she is not. I'll write a letter to the bar today reporting this violation.
Have a great Wednesday
I had to put up with insults and attitude from Brennan. I wish that she would disappear and never be seen again.
Embarrassing. Glad I am not a member of the DADE County Bar Association.
Judge Hanzman will replace Sec. of State Tillerson and NSA Gen. McMaster as the first dual positiom appointee of the Trump administration. Rumor has it that upon the impending resignation of CJ Roberts to also accept a dual position as chair of Goldman-Sachs and Berkshire-Hathaway, president Trump will appoint Milton Hirsch to, also, a dual position as chief justice and attorney general, replacing Jeff Sessions who is going back to law school to learn constitutional law.
