NFL SATURDAY

Green Bay hosts the Seahawks today in the early game while the Jaguars travel to New England to play the 135-0 Cheaters.

Both lines have moved since the opening and that merits discussion.

The Packer/Seahawk game opened at GB-8.5 and it is now GB-7.5. Traditionally you see this occur in the second round of the playoffs when the winning wild card team, that played the following week, picks up support from the fans who watched them win, as opposed to the division winner (Green Bay) that was off.

Give the points here. This is our best bet of the week. The Packers -7.5 all the way. There may be some questions about this Green Bay team. They have to prove they have a legitimate running game and can beat Dallas which handled them pretty well earlier in the season. But for today they play a Seattle team that has just never clicked on all cylinders all season.
The over under is 40 and we say stay away. This game could be a 35-20 rout, or a 27-10 rout. Farve will show up- of that we have no doubt. But we can't say the same for the Seahawk defense.

The Cheaters/Jaguars line has also moved, but the other way. The Cheaters opened as 11 point favorites, and the line has moved to -13.5 as the public hops on the undefeated bandwagon.
The over/under line has also moved from 48 to 50. We think the play here is under 50. Defense has a way of asserting itself in playoff games in January in the north east. Don't think for one second that the Cheaters don't have a running game. They do. And while they're far from conservative, we think if they get a 10 point lead they just may try and sit on it.

The question is whether Jax can take a play from the Ravens and to a lesser extent the Colts and turn this game into a one or two fourth quarter possession game. We think they can. Jacksonville is well coached and they have a plan and they do a pretty go job dictating the flow of the game. Take the 13.5 points but lightly. And if you really want to have fun, the you can get 6-1 on your money by taking Jax without your points.

We will have more to say on this tomorrow, but early on we like Dallas and the Colts.

Ladies and Gentleman, I have the distinct honor and high privilege of introducing to you the next PUBLIC DEFENDER of the United Counties of Dade.....

I agree with Rump. The NE line is probably fat. Philly, Baltimore and even the Giants seemed to be able to slow them down and keep it close. Jax is better than all those teams and it is January.

In Rump we trust.

Maybe its just because they have shown themselves to be arrant liars, but something about this Iranian -US Navy confrontation smells to me. And by "they" I mean the Bush administration. Cheney has been itching to take on the Iranians and time is running out on our chief henchman's plans.

Well..ummm(chomp chomp) Its all very confusing ...and (smack) the writers (chomP) strike and all...and umm...a defense continuance might be in order.ahhh (chomp chomp) but uhh..Freddy and hmm....well... (smack chomp) I think I've made it clear.

"Arrant" : now there's a true example of our Rump's superior intelligence.

Any Herbie The Love Bug updates?

In counterpoint to self-imposed silence of the the Chief, why doesn't Rumpole run with the story David Markus won't cover (just because he's afraid of violating a gag order), the continued and growing ban on free speech about the Liberty City 7 case. C'mon, Rumps, pick up where Markus left off. Day 31, America's First Amendment held hostage.

Well, it's official. Rump has jumped to the looney left. What a dick!

Further, for all of you supposed defenders of justice that are calling out the "scabs" and hoping for an implosion of the regional counsel offices, what about the rights of those that will go unrepresented while you guys whine? Their cases go on while you could only care about the bottom feeders that are trying to $1,000 on a 2nd degree felony! Bunch of hypocites!

People - the race for Clerk of the Court has begun. Harvey Ruvin has filed his first Campaign report and we can report that the race is not even close.

Mr. Ruvin has raised $11,550.00 and loaned his campaign only $100.00 - To be fair to Mr. McGillis the majority or the contributions came from lobbyist and a firm that exclusively does work for lobbyist. In one contribution Ruvin gets $500 from a company that the clerks office uses to collect outstanding fines and court cost from litigants.

The real interesting donation comes from none other than Robert “Bob” Levy & Associates. Some have reported that Mr. McGillis and Mr. Levy had conspired together against certain Judges in the 2006 judicial election. This should put those rumors to rest.

So is the Clerk allowed to collect contributions from those he secures contracts for at the Clerks office?

Idiot Barzee's middle name is Riley - not Jefferson. A bigger question is why should we care about him being Public Defender - or anything else for that matter. A bigger questoion is why do YOU care enough to keep writing this stuff out of the blue all of the time. Are you in love??? It's ok, admit it, we all know.......

Let me get this straight.

Gringo William Barzee, whose name sounds neither Hispanic nor Jewish is contemplating running against Carlos Martinez in a presidential election year in Miami-Dade county.

Oh, ok.

Maybe he can get adopted by his sister and add Flores to his name.

Or call himself Willian "Camacho" Barzee. That's worked before.

if barzee wanted it, he would beat martinez in a dem. primary. martinez just became a dem.

The return of Bob "The Scum" Levy. Why is anybody surprized that The Scum plays dirty tricks and employs those who do? I think it is time to start a "Defeat the Scum" plan in place.

Hey Bob what's wrong, did Ruvin not pay your bribe?

The Scum's motto: "Pay me or else. It's your fault if I lie about you."

Hey "he dumb dumb"

Here's one for you and the rest of the "Barzee would beat him in a Democratic primary" crowd:

If no republican files, ANYONE, regardless of party affiliation, can vote in the Democratic primary, even all the republicans in Hialeah, Little Havana, Westchester, etc.

No such thing as a one-party closed primary.

Check the FAQ at

Sorry. You'll just have to coax a republican to run, too.
