Meanwhile consider this missive from the ever introspective yet ebullient Judge Milt Hirsch:
"They fancied themselves free, and no one will ever be free so long as there are pestilences."
-- Albert Camus, The Plague
And speaking of Judge Hirsch, no love lost between he and 1970's intellectual Noam Chomsky. With time on our hands, we are re-reading Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media by Edward Herman and the aforementioned Noam Chomsky.
As Judge Moreno would query- "what say you" to the authors' proposition that the mass communication media are in and of themselves powerful ideological institutions that publicize a systemic propaganda function controlled by consumer based market demands?
In otherwords, it's everything President Trump means when he says "fake media" without ever considering the ideas espoused in Manufacturing Consent, and of course having never read the book.
