So for the next few hours we open up the blog to draft discussion. Get on there and chant "TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW" for the next few hours if you like.
The St. Louis Rams are on the clock and in our humble opinion if they draft Sam Bradford they are fools. He is not close to being the best player in the draft and he is not a Matt Ryan or even a Matthew Stafford, which is to say he is not a franchise QB.
Best individual draft pick of all time? Easy.
14th round (and they don't even have 14 rounds any more) in 1961, the Rams select a little known defensive lineman. You now know him as hall of fame D-Lineman Deacon Jones.
Best draft of multiple players by a team in one year? Also easy. Pittsburgh Steelers 1974.
1. Lynn Swann (Hall of Fame WR); 2. Jack Lambert (Hall of Fame LB, one of the top 4 LBs of all time.); 4- John Stallworth (Hall of Fame WR); 5- Mike Webster (Hall of Fame Center. One of the 4 best centers ever to play the game).
Runner up: 1965 Chicago Bears- 1. #3 in the first round- Dick Butkus, Hall of Fame LB and one of the greatest to ever play the game. 1. #4 in the first round- Gayle Sayers, Hall of Fame RB.
See You On ESPN, all weekend long.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR TEBOW TO FALL FLAT ON HIS FACE.
Ginn Ginn we want Ginn. He didn't get a fair chance, and with him we can win. Ginn Ginn we want Ginn, trade the pick and bring him back in.
Kindle Kindle Dolphins want Kindle.
ESPN reports Browns offered most of this year picks to Rams for #1 spot to get Bradford. And you wonder why the Browns are called the Clowns by AFC North Fans.
At number 4 and beyond, Eric Berry safety is the best player in the draft available. Lets see how far he falls.
Chief nab him at 5
Will the Seahawks nab Dez Bryant or Russell Okung?
I think things are lining up for the fins to have their pick if top line backers.
Teebow now. Teebow forever. Teebow for the Dolphins. Teebow for president.
Haden is a beast. Good pick for the Brownies.
Think the fins can't thank Jacksonville right now.
We just traded out of 12 down to where?....Chargers at 28. Quite a drop.
The Raiders reached, the Bills reached, the Chargers reached The Jags way reached by taking a sure second round pick with their first pick.. This is shaping up well for The fins.
Rump. Deacon Jones is a very good pick for lowest draft pick ever who yielded the best results. But I can dig even deeper. Bart Starr was drafted in the 17th round in 1956. For your younger readers, he is a Hall of Famer who played for the great Green Bay teams of the 1960's. Most of your readers I am sure think Deacon Jones is a priest.
It's "Draft" day Rump, not "Dradt". Lay off the booze. You probably have VOP hearings tomorrow
I'd take Deacon over Starr because Deacon is arguably one of the top ten at his position, and Starr thrived in handing off the ball in the Packers offense. A good QB, not great QB.
Tebow goes in the first round. Three Gators in the first round. Not too shabby. Go Gators!
Rump. You raise a very interesting point that is beyond my abilities. You are correct that Starr had a great team around him that probably elevated his natural ability. But so did Jones. Remember, he played with Lamar Lundy, Roosevelt Grier, and the great and late Merlin Olson. If he were the only star on that line, he would have been double teamed on every pass play. But who would want to leave Merlin Olson unguarded? If Jones had played for the defenseless Chargers of the old AFL, would he havd caused havoc with quarterbacks? I doubt it. You get the point. But I agree with you that Jones is one of the greatest defensive lineman of all time. And ditto for Starr at quarterback. I look at Starr as a refined version of Terry Bradshaw, a man who led a super talented team to repeat championships. You cannot argue with the results.
Kindle would be a great pick here especially at 28.
Jared Odrick would be an even bigger steal.
Starr was a great QB as a guy who managed a game and led his team. He was not in Bradshaw's league. Bradshaw won 4 SBs 2 time MVP, threw for over 300 yds in 2 Super Bowls and called his own plays. You could compare Bradshaw to Starr for the first two SBs that Bradshaw won- because he managed the game, and let his defense and Franco Harris do most of the work- although in his second SB when they beat the Cowboys you had Bradshaw's game winning TD pass to Swann as Charlie Harris hit Bradshaw square in the Jaw and knocked him out. Bradshaw was out before he hit the ground. But he was a much more productive thrower his final five years in the league and for his last two SB wins. Starr was never the passer Bradhsaw was.
Odrick is a phenomenal pick, especially at 28. A legitimate top 20 pick, and I would not have been surprised to see him go at 16-18, especially to the Steelers or to the Ravens who have apparently traded out of the first round. Also the Cheaters could have nabbed him a few picks ago.
Great pick for the Fins, and fills a big big need.
OK that's it. I'm turning off the computer. Will watch the end of the draft tonight in bed.
3 gators in the first round. will have 12 drafted. we are proud of our gator judges, blake, emmas, slom,CJ brown and any others I may have overlooked. the only good cane is cocaine.
Ana Gardiner resigns.
I love these drafts, and the eats. I inhaled a couple dozen drumsticks from KFC while I watched. Now someone take me to Walgreens to buy some mouthwash so I don't exterminate my brethren while I am waiting in line to call my case.
