JUST ANOTHER DAY AT REGJB

We get to the Justice Building today and only one of three elevators are working.

Of course we have to go to the ninth floor, which is pretty much shut down because of the budget cuts. One clerk -twenty four windows, no waiting. HA!

The J...E....T.....S  JETS JETS JETS play the Patsies tonight in New England for a Thursday night football game.   The Patsies are 3.5 favourites. We are rooting for the Jets, and we recommend the over 40 for 150 Favres. Our total wager will include 50 on the JETS +3.5, but we admit that is with our heart and not our head.
J...E....T...S  FAVRE FAVRE FAVRE!!!!
Update- the game was way over and the Jets won for +200 for the night. We entered Thursday night +834, and head into the weekend over the thousand mark for the first time" +1034.

A quick dose of the law: Always view the ME report with skepticism: Here is the NY Times article about a NYC murder case that went kablooey (technical legal term; see Black's Law.) when the Prosecution and the ME admitted that the victim could have died of an overdose of drugs rather than by strangulation.

Rumpole notes: We have very skilled MEs in Miami. But it is also a teaching facility, and many times the autopsy is done by a relatively new medical examiner. These rookies in the past have fallen to our artful cross examination, and the rule of thumb (in all areas of life) is not to trust something just because a doctor says it is so.

Oh, here's something fun to cheer you up and get you in a party mood for the Dolphins game for the weekend:
There is a noxious brown poisonous cloud covering most of Asia. But don't tell your  Republican friends, because they will tell you it doesn't really exist. (Isn't it ironic that the satellites that take pictures of global warming were probably developed and paid for out of republican administration military budgets? Then when the satellites show the ice cap melting, the same people that supported the research and money for the satellites, now dispute the indisputable results.)

For the rest of the thinking world that believes in science, here is the Times Article. Don't breathe in Asia. Other than that, it's a great place to visit.

Here's a challenge to any private investigators who read this blog. Figure out who Rumpole is. If you confirm his identity, I will guarantee you at least a dozen attorneys will use your services. How challenging can it be. He's telling you that he was in the REG building today. He also went up to the 9th floor. He's given so many daman clues. Make it happen!

I think - nay I KNOW- Rump throws out canards- red herrings- fake clues. When he's away he says he was in the building, and when he's in the building in trial, he says he's on vacation. It's one layer of defense and how he always stays one step ahead of us.

First he is rumored to be the inspiration for Brit Spears hit single "WOMANIZER" and now comes word that kenny Weisman may also be the cad that hurt PINK inspiring her hit single "SO WHAT".

Hmmmmm

HOT RUMOR: TV superstar Cristina Shuminer is being recruited to return to the bench with the promise of an immediate caucus of 35 Judges who will back her for chief judge. This is a tough call for her.

Her backers are her close judicial friends and we all know who they are.

is there a group for those who stopped caring about who Rumpole is like 2 years ago?

Yeah- It's the Shumie Time/Q blog. Radical baby. And cool.

Do you sit around and think up this stuff just to be obnoxious and mentally masturbate instead of doing the real thing?

Even if what you say was not just you being a provacatour, once you leave voluntarily you can never come back by appointment. Ask any of them that have left.

Margolis to sue over Miami-Dade runoff

The first race for the elected office of property appraiser in Miami-Dade is headed for a showdown in a courtroom. At issue is whether the election should be decided by a runoff.

State Sen. Gwen Margolis, the Miami Beach Democrat who finished first in a four-way race but got less than 50 percent of the vote, says the race has wrongly been thrown into a runoff, which she says violates the county's home-rule charter. The county has called for a runoff election between Margolis and second-place finisher Pedro Garcia, who got 31 percent of the vote. Margolis says another election would cost $3.9-million and is not authorized by law.

She hired election law expert Mark Herron, who will file the lawsuit Wednesday. In a statement, Herron said: "The home rule charter does not authorize the (County) Commission to dictate the manner in which this office is elected. It is the Florida Constitution, which says that this office will be elected by a plurality of voters."

6:23 - my dear moronic brain addled blogger:

Exhibit one: JOSEPH FARINA. Voluntarily left, and returned and snapped his fingers and got an appointment "like that."
But you were barely out of diapers when that happened so you wouldn't know.

If CS wants it, it's a done deal from Tallahassee down to Flagler street. But I know these things, and you stay up at night wondering why you don't.

Stop this Shumie stuff.

Oh- we're going to roll with the Latin "Delenda est" crap now? That's how it's going to be? So be it.

SO WHAT? I'm still a South Beach Star, I got my South Beach moves, and I don't need you tonight.

I'm going to Prime 112,
I'm having more fun
and I don't need you tonight.

A la PINK's " SO WHAT"

Okay the only thing I would endorse Adrien for is UNEMPLOYMENT.

The only thing I will ever endorse Adrien for is UNEMPLOYMENT.

There are exceptions to every rule. Blogger, I know Joe Farina, Joe Farina is a friend of mine and Christina Schuminer is no Joe Farina. She is not even in the same ballpark.

Jets won by 3. Wasn't the line 3 and a half? You're up 100, not 200, right?

Rumpole said...

NO The JETS were GETTING 3.5- they won so it doesn't matter, but the 3.5 only comes into play if the Jets lost. I'M UP 200 AND I've earned every red cent of it. I challenge any professional tout that charges for their picks to match my record this year, last year, or combined. I'm the real deal.

Sorry Rump shouldn't have doubted you. Thought the Jets were favored. Your picks are impressive, just thought I'd spotted a mistake and wanted to jump on it.

Being in the centre of public scrutiny I am used to being carefully watched. But if you are a daily reader of the blog you will see even I made a mistake the other day, my first for 2008, so it happens to everyone. No worries.

congratulations to Miami Beach Captain Ronald Elmore for beating the crap out of his girlfriend (allegedly). I guess that "diversity training" he was required to take last year for his use of ethnic slurs didn't include a section on not to get drunk and beat women (allegedly).

Since this alleged incident happened in broward I'm guessing he is looking at life. Then again, since he's a cop the case will probably be dropped
