YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK.

One of the absolute pleasures of working in the REGJB (warning:  gratuitous and cheap shot at judges coming up)  beyond the absolute pleasure  of working with distinguished, experienced (cough cough) and dedicated jurists, who all sacrificed lucrative legal practices just to serve our community in our time of need,  is the first class way the maintenance crew responds to emergencies.

To prove out point, here is a picture of a crack crew expertly dealing with an emergency. This will be done and cleaned up by, oh, August.

We hereby certify that we took the above picture on Monday, April 13, 2009 at approximately
 10: 00 AM.

Yup. They closed a main thoroughfare down to one lane on the busiest day of the week, and then did nothing.

See You In Court, using the stairs.

Did anyone else have a horrible experience in Judge Seraphin's courtroom today?

I need to vent.

What happens to all theat money that goes to the Courthouse Improvement Trust fund? This is part of the fines and court cost in criminal cases.

Hey 1:28 I was in Seraphins courtroom today and everything was fine except for one dingbat lawyers who did not know how to file a motion to dismiss and Seraphin has to explain it to her.

All you fat-asses need the exercise. Take the damn stairs aka broken escalators.

Not Seraphin's Mom said...

Judge Seraphin is a nice guy.

Seraphin would not call attorney cases. Attorneys and the pro se were waiting 10 times longer than any other courtroom. Attorneys who dared to go to other courtrooms got bench warrants. One attorney tried to stand in for another attorney after hearing bench warrants left and right and was told to get back in line. Defendants given court costs had to wait over 2 hours just to get their paperwork. Air was turned up and standing room only and multiple lectures about court behavior. No significant lines elsewhere. Just frustrating to go from courtroom to courtroom and everything runs smoothly only to hit that room and its like a day at the DMV.

banech warrants...one more reason not to practice criminal law. You can be late without having your clients end up in jail.
