GATORS

(This is the way some judges look to us on a rough Monday morning.)

Florida’s newly infamous Alligator Alcatraz is open. Channel Six here has a report on conditions.

Leamsy Izquierdo, also known as Leamsy La Figura, a self-described Cuban urban artist, was arrested for a violent incident and has been at the detention center out in the Everglades since Friday. “There is no water here to bathe,” he told Telemundo 51, adding it’s been four days since he showered. He believes there are about 400 people inside the facility. “They give you food only once a day, food that even has worms in it,” Izquierdo said.

This is wonderful. No great nation wants to be known for humanely treating its prisoners. Be like North Korea and Iran!” Should be our motto.

If you scan social media, there’s dozens of interviews popping up with immigrants who voted for the president only to now find out that the government is now seeking to deport them and/or a family member.

Which leads us to this Rumpole maxim
Be careful what you ask for in life; you may get it.

Good morning, Your Honor. What nice teeth you have.

Any idiot who voted for Trump deserves exactly what happens to them. I have little sympathy for them. They are causing much suffering on others who do not deserve this and did not vote for this evil . Ghandi said "if there is an idiot in power, those who elected him are well represented."

Oh no, the person who came here illegally and then committed a violent crime doesn't like his current living conditions. This is worse than not allowing children to get sex change operations. The humanity.

Next this liblogger will want bail for misd defendants

Your ignorance and hyperbole are only exceeded by your stupidity and utter lack of compassion.

Rump, when are you going to start covering the Alexander Brothers’ cases?

One of the co-defendants just had his charges dismissed the day before trial—a stunning development that says everything about the weakness of the case. Full credit to Nora Lewis, Juan Michelen, and former U.S. Attorney Jeff Sloman for dismantling it. But let’s be clear: this is yet another embarrassment for the Miami State Attorney’s Office.

An 89-minute investigation—yes, 89 minutes—was all it took for them to file felony charges. That’s not due process. That’s prosecutorial recklessness. While Fisherman may be free of charges now, the reputational harm is permanent. His life was disrupted, his name dragged through the mud—all without a shred of meaningful inquiry.

It’s time to police the police. The SAO seems obsessed with headlines, not justice. Their job is to seek truth, not conviction at any cost. The level of incompetence—and worse, indifference—in that office is staggering.

Two defendants remain. Both are represented by two of the finest lawyers in this town, Eddie O’Donnell and Joel Denaro. The only credible path forward is to dismiss the charges. Unless, of course, SAO Miami is determined to keep being the laughingstock of the legal world.

Someone needs to wake up the leadership over there—because what’s happening isn’t just wrong. It’s disgraceful.

No coverage on the biggest case in the building ? Congrats to Jeff , Nora and Juan on their astounding win for their client Ohad Fisherman. Weird.

Immigrants who voted for Trump are being deported? Think that one through Rump...If they are being deported, they are not citizens and couldn't have LEGALLY voted. If they did, are you considering them undocumented voters? Serious question.

Rumpole - do you believe that CoQ10 should be given with Statin prescriptions as a matter of course by cardiologists?

I would love your opinion.

Do you think statins are over-prescribed?

Rumpole said...

Statins are mostly a miracle drug. They have been widely used since the 1950s and reduce a persons chance for a serious cardiac event. A good cardiologist should discuss the benefits of CQ10 but not prescribe it. Just like I recommend taking niacin and red bean yeast for a few months before starting statins as a way, along with diet change, of seeing if you can get good cholesterol numbers before taking a statin. A small percentage of people have adverse side effects to statins including muscle pain and memory loss.
There is even better news. A one time shot that turns off a gene in the liver that produces excess cholesterol is now in phase three studies. Cardiologists have called it a game changer. And finally if we are having a cardiology discussion, the simplest and safest thing you can take is a baby aspirin to reduce inflammation in your body. Do not - repeat - do not take more than two a day. Too much aspirin can cause a life threatening gastrointestinal bleed. But if you start reducing inflammation in your body in your 30s through diet and exercise and a baby aspirin, you will avoid a lot of aging health issues in your 60s and 70s.

Who on earth thinks that illegal immigrants voted for Trump? No, the friends and family of those illegal immigrants voted for Trump and he then stabbed them all in the back. Ask your Venezuelan friends from Doral. They almost all voted for Trump and now they are really angry when grandma, with no criminal history is sleeping on the floor at Krome. I really hate what Trump is doing to this country. He wants to deport people without seeing a judge first. This is not the American my father fought for in WWII.

There’s an Admin training on Gaslighting support staff at the SAO 4th floor conference room. Supervisors and divisions chiefs mandatory attendance, everyone else in a manager position is optional.

Even simpler: eat more plants. And no, french fries and ketchup don't count.

Would you worry that if you were on Nexium or a PPI - and well controlled with no signs of reflux - that baby aspirin could make it worse?

Does an 81mg baby aspirin truly lower one’s inflammatory numbers? If so, that is very important to prevent diseases.

Do you like the works of Dr. Peter Attia? Dr. David Sinclair? Any others?

Thank you Rumpole.

Oh no. The liberals who have spent the last ten years attacking anyone who disagrees with them and acting out violently via BLM and any other protest think I am stupid and lack compassion. How will I continue. The humanity.

What about Apo B?? More important than cholesterol level?

Rump how about the Excessive mistreatment of ASA’s towards support staff?

Anonymous said...

And you know he committed a violent crime … how?

Anonymous said...

Why would you ask a medical question to a lawyer? You're better off googling it than asking Rumpole. Sheesh.

Rumpole said...

Because I’m a polymath with an extensive knowledge of medical issues.

Rumpole said...

No a baby aspirin is fine. But stay with one and avoid regular aspirin. I don’t like PPIs long term.

Anonymous said...

We need to see medication on the market that will significantly reduce Lipoprotein a. There are several ongoing trials with at least one in phase III.

Anonymous said...

Tell that to the 30+ women all unrelated, who were drugged and raped.

Anonymous said...

How about the way some ASA’s dress in court? The men are either well dressed or completely sloppy. There’s no in between. Hardly any of the women wear the right size bras. Just a bunch of giant boobs and muffin tops.

RE: Because I’m a polymath with an extensive knowledge of medical issues. Hey Dr. Google aka Rump, do you hold a medical degree? Unless you do might I suggest you keep your medical opinions to yourself?

12:22-- RE: Just a bunch of giant boobs and muffin tops. Hey moron, I dare you to verbally say that a woman and let's see how well that plays out. Lemme guess, you are a middle aged man with a comb-over and a belly?

Rump your comment @9:11. "A polymath is someone with deep knowledge and expertise in many different subject areas, while a "know-it-all" is someone who acts like they know everything, even if they don't." And that sir is you, a grumpy know it all who thinks and acts like they know everything. You think you do but you don't.

What a horrible thing to say you monster!! So you believe all those lives lost in the Texas flood, all those innocent children deserved to have died??? Read this-- https://nypost.com/2025/07/10/us-news/houston-pediatrician-speaks-out-after-her-flood-victims-post-sparked-outrage/

no no no, you got it all wrong. you see, there’s mitigation. product of their circumstance. release the prisoners.

Anonymous said...

It's you who haven't thought this through. Immigrants who are naturalized citizens are legally allowed to vote. Trump wants to deport naturalized citizens. Rumpole may not be matchless. But you are not his match.

Have you read anything about the criminal records of those now in detention or already deported? Very very few have violent criminal histories.

Rumpole said...

Well maybe, but I know this. I’m smarter than you.

Rumpole said...

No. I’ve actually saved lives. Friend had CABG and had trouble breathing. Doctors said it was normal side effects after surgery. I, however suspected frenic nerve damage and as is the case is many areas where I express an opinion I was correct. Another friend had unexplained sores on her legs. Doctors kept giving her antibiotics and creams as her legs got worse. Until I diagnosed her with Crohn’s disease. And finally a client told me his child was being hospitalized with a high fever that was not responding. “Are her feet peeling?” I inquired. “How did you know?” He responded flabbergasted. “It’s most likely Kawasaki’s disease, and it’s easily treatable.” Again I was correct. So no I won’t keep my opinions to myself. I am well studied in medicine reading several periodicals a month for the last 30 years for enjoyment and education while you struggle to beat your all time high at candy crush.

@12:16 pm

Oh, how convenient—“30+ women, all unrelated” suddenly appear, years later, just in time to fuel a massive civil lawsuit. What timing! Almost like someone’s working off a script designed to maximize exposure, emotion, and, of course, settlement value.

And now we’ve got Morgan & Morgan and other civil firms reading this blog? I had no idea this was required material for the ambulance-chasing crowd. But it makes sense—pushing a criminal prosecution is just another tool in the box when you're desperate to boost a civil payout. Who needs facts when you’ve got strategy?

Let’s be clear: using criminal court as a pawn in a civil chess match is a disgrace. Prosecutors should be seeking the truth, not resorting to litigation tactics aimed at the biggest check.

And yes, allegations alone are enough to ruin lives now. Thanks to a legal system that doesn’t require corroboration at charging these types of crimes, anyone can walk into a police station, say whatever they want, and walk out having detonated someone’s life.

Meanwhile, the accused—who deserve a fair trial like everyone else—are already guilty in the court of public opinion. Social media has spoken, and no amount of evidence seems to matter when the narrative is already set.

If justice is what we’re after, then it’s time to stop outsourcing it to hashtags and law firms looking for headlines.

My blog is required reading for most law firms and judges throughout the US You’d be surprised who sends me emails about posts. A district judge in Minnesota, a big law partner in Dallas. Lots of legal elite read my missives. Rightfully so.
