CITRA REGISTE JOSEPH HAS PASSED AWAY

UPDATE: This young woman, who passed away way too young leaves a family. We know we just asked, but if you can....

Go Fund me     for Citra Registe Joseph.

Erian White shared the sad news of the passing of Attorney Citra Registe Joseph. We did not know  her. She has passed much too young.

Good Morning All,

I wanted to share with you that Citra Registe Joseph (former ASA) has passed away from T-Cell Lymphoma.

I'm not sure if any of you ever got the opportunity to work with her but Citra was easily the most honest and well meaning prosecutor I have ever come across. She was also my Sorority sister and friend.

She will be missed dearly. If anyone is interested or wishes to support her family during this time, the details for her arrangements are below.

I had a trial with her in civil court two years ago. She was very competent, very professional, and a pleasure to work with. The Miami legal community has lost not only a very fine attorney but a very fine human being. RIP.

She was a great human and consummate professional. Her children were her life. God bless her family and may she rest in peace.

Good bless her RIP. May we see are differences as trivial. We mourn those who left this world way too early.

So sorry to hear about yet another tragedy in our community. I did not know her but that is such a beautiful picture of a lively, intelligent, hardworking woman. She appears to have " had every gift but length of years". Love to her family. May her memory be a blessing.

She was just an absolutely wonderful person. Smart, kind, beautiful and fun. She exuded warmth and integrity and made those around her feel special. What a tremendous loss. Keeping her family and friends in my heart…

For those who did not know Citra, she was an ASA from 2014 until 2021. She held multiple supervisory positions in County Court and also served in a number of different units in the Felony Division. She was a dedicated prosecutor and more importantly, a great person. She will be missed

There will never be another person like Citra. I left Miami a long time ago, but we never lost touch because Citra was the type of friend that made the effort to stay connected. For those of us who were trained by her, she was tough and pushed us to be the best that we could be. She was also unbelievably fun, and had the best laugh. Even when she was swamped with her own work, she’d take the time to help you out. She put her whole heart into everything she did – she just couldn’t help it ( I remember when her closest friends were in her office trying to get her to stop working so that she wouldn’t be late to her own wedding). She gave everything she had to her family, her friends, her community, and her colleagues. Those of us who knew her were the luckiest.

What a shame. I had the pleasure of settling a few civil cases with her just last year. Very sorry to all that knew her well.
