IMAGINE

Imagine the power of words; of art; of song.

During the Gold Medal match of women's beach volleyball at the Olympics, the Canadian and Brazilian teams went at it like it was a hockey match- or a prosecution discovery violation in Miami.

Heated words were exchanged. There were nasty glares.

We went to a beach volleyball match  and a hockey game broke out.

And then the DJ (did you know the beach volleyball Olympic matches even had a DJ? We did not)  played John  Lennon's Imagine.

And smiles and peace broke out.

Imagine that.

This Sports Illustrated site has the video.  Take a look and  brighten up your Saturday.

So did Professor Abuhoff win?

Imagine if there weren’t corrupt and rogue prosecutors like some members of the Miami SAO and like the monster in this story. Imagine if they could be punished for their inhumanity and sentenced to the same fate that their railroaded defendants served. Imagine if fairness and decency reigned supreme in the criminal justice system. Unfortunately, we will never achieve any of these.

Thanks for this post Rump. In this wild world it’s good to take note of the good! Appreciate this.

Thank you for this blog. It's the first thing I read in the morning and last thing at night. You are amazing! That being said, I'm not sure I like this new format for the comments. It's not as easy to read. Am I the only one that's not liking it?

Rogue corrupt ASA’ s are the biggest cowards. Leave the state and see if you can succeed on your own or in a big law firm. Too scared? Same whining people who cry they are under paid and over worked couldn’t handle it out here.

Imagine a world without corrupt ASA’s.

I didn’t change it. Blogger did. I agree. It stinks.

We can see by the pro ASA comments on the blog that the SAO didn’t take any of this seriously. It’s coming from the top folks. Wake up. It’s all a shell game and they are laughing at the defense bar.

In case you all aren’t following what is going on in X (Twitter), Gosney’s trolls are attacking Paul Petruzzi, Herald reporter Brittany Wallman, and others. They’re also threatening to dig into these people’s backgrounds and personal and expose embarrassing and other information. At least one of these clowns is a foreign lawyer, not bound by our rules, so who knows how much havoc he alone could wreak.

Other trolls include admitted criminals, felons, gamers, tech savvy people, and all sorts of shady characters, and they make no qualms about their mission: to expose everyone who they believe to be behind the fall of their messiah and seek revenge. Those marked for retribution include local defense lawyers and even ASAs.

The most disturbing part of all of this is that Gosney is often copied on the vitriol and threats and he doesn’t say anything about it. He’s leading his herd publicly through acquiescence and silence, who knows what he’s telling them behind the scenes. Hopefully none of his trolls ever acts on the threats and someone ends up getting hurt.

How did the SAO fuck this up to royally? This Gosney character will be the gift that keeps on giving way after he’s gone. Incredible!

I always win and nothing you pansies at the FACDL can do about it except go sit at my boss' office and cry to her and accomplish nothing except plan the next gala!

Anybody that watched that trial knows Abahoff didn’t win. Facts may have won, but Abahoff’s performance was despicable. Weird how he had no co-counsel. Why is that? Kathleen Hoague kept walking over to whisper to him or lean over the pew to say something. Why didn’t she just sit at counsel table? Does his own office see his questionable ethics? I hope Wolfson takes a long hard deliberation on defense motion for new trial, as I know she will.

Win at all costs

Sounds like someone is upset that he beat three APDs by himself…

Also why did Yanelis have to get on last minute? Babysitting the APDs?

Those are not Gosney’s fans; they are “cult members” with a brain the size of a squirrel.

The troll-looking foreign lawyer has a YouTube channel where he provides “legal commentary” on US trials while infringing the Law and Crime Network's intellectual property by reproducing their stream without permission and plastering his logo and ugly mug on their logo. Genius, right?

Most of the info he provides on his videos comes from ChatGPT and is inaccurate.

He also solicits $$$$ from his viewers to cover his expenses while he is on a road trip across the US. ROFL

He's tried to bring the defense lawyers on the YSL trial to his sketchy stream as guests, and they are dodging him (I think any rational person would, too).

The Superior Court of Fulton County, Georgia (where the YSL trial is currently taking place) denied him access to the courtroom today. Maybe the courtroom security smelled all the booze he chugs on YouTube?

Another “cult member” reads Gosney’s book from her closet and uploads these masterpieces to her Rubble, I mean Rumble. If anyone needs their closet organized, ask Gosney for her digits.

The last two members are some weak bullies who are dazed and confused. They claim the article in the Miami Herald is a ‘hit piece’ yet can't write a complete sentence or read a paragraph. No wonder they think his book is worthy of a Pulitzer Prize.

And before you ask, the clowns above are real people, not characters from Gosney’s yucky books. The rest are part of a troll/bot farm or the same people hiding behind different accounts.

They are convinced that their Messiah came to Miami to create ‘reform’ and save us all from the evil spirits at the SAO-Miami that hide Brady. No wonder he quit; the mission was impossible!

They've also implied that we are all responsible for his ‘firing’ (I never said they were brilliant).

Meanwhile, Gosney can't even manage to get a job at Legal Aid. He couldn't even become a judge in nowhere Florida, where they would take anyone with a pulse and a law degree.

Hopefully, he can organize the peaceful online protest of his “cult members” who are mad because WE got him fired (but HE quit). Reminder: I told you they can’t read.

Steve, make sure you circulate the memorandum of your employment status in audio format to your trolls and translate it to Swedish for your ‘henchman.’

Way to go, SAO-Miami!
Next time, let us vet your prospective candidates; we can do a better job.

Yanelis probably got on because Abahoff listed the other two counsel as witnesses. DUH. You all are really not that bright.

All this talk about “he beat” “he won” really just reinforces the “win at all costs” reputation. Not a good look.
