FRANCISCO LORIGA HAS PASSED AWAY

Francisco Lloriga has passed away. He was a young man, way too young to have died. We didn't know him, but he was apparently in a trial with Attorney Jason Grey when he went home for the evening and suffered an event and passed away.

There was a rumor Jason Grey passed away. That did not occur. He has written us to tell us he is just fine.

This is the time to remember that on their death bed no one wishes that they spent more time at the office. This will be a beautiful Florida weekend. There's lots to do. College Football on Saturday, the NFL and cookouts and family time on Sunday. Every day in a precious gift not to be wasted.

Don't.

Coming soon: Our first week of survivor pool picks are almost in.
Can Kenny Weisman defend his crown?
Who will join the unlucky "first week out club?"

See You Monday.

I got to know Francisco as a prosecutor. He was a gentle and a humble person. I'm proud to say that even though we were on opposite sides of the aisle, we became good friends. Unfortunately he was all to aware of human frailties and how easy it can be for a young person to find himself on the other side of the law. He fought for his clients with quiet tenacity and I found him to be a consummate professional. He will be missed. RIP my friend.
Btw rump, I think you may have misspelled his name.

I think I fixed it. Thanks. Nice comment.

REAL FORMER JUDGE said...

We have lost way too many of our friends at the Justice Building over the years. Most of them … way before their time. I am personally grateful for the lifelong relationships that I made as a Judge there in the '90s.

Please live everyday as it is your last … because one day, it will be.

God bless you all.

PS: Kenny W. always picks last and waits till the end? Don't they have phones and email in Zegna in Bal Harbour?

Does anyone have a photo of Loriga? I cannot place the face with the name.

Real former Judge ...nice to hear from JJC.

Judge Jack Coe. One of the best.

Weisman was tied as champion with Lurvey if I am not mistaken.

Trial was several weeks ago.

FAKE KENNY W. said...

That is not Judge Jack Coe!

It is Judge Jonathan Colby!

Jack Martin Coe was one of the judges who started their judicial careers in county court sitting in Courtroom 1-5. I can recall Roberto Pineiro, Marc Schumacher, Maxine Cohen Lando, May Cain, Jeffrey Swartz, etc.

I recognize that sense of humor from the morning trial calendar of His Honor Judge Colby. He is also a Zegna shopper and a proud wearer of the Kenny W. line of ascots!

Colby was the judge who always sent his bailiff out to score him a couple of hot dogs from the cart ladies because he was too embarrassed to do it himself.

'----he suffered AN EVENT----'. Please at least try to express yourself in understandable English. People generally die from heart attacks or things like accidents, homicides etc. In human history has anyone ever died from AN EVENT!!

Rumpole said...

I have no idea exactly how he died. Doctors use the term "event" to describe an incident. A cardiac event. A diabetic event. Etc. Im not sure how he died.

Judge Coe was famous(?) for issuing $999,999 bench warrants in county court.
