NFL WEEK 16 2010

Things could not be any closer as the season winds down in our pick-em contest with David Markus. With two games left in the regular season, and although we didn't discuss it we are willing to extend this to the super bowl, Mr. Markus is at 8-5-1 while we are at 9-6.

The Cheaters go Buffalo today and the visiting team needs to keep winning to lock down the number one seed in the AFC and get home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Over/Under is 45 and we'll pick the over in our contest with DOM and for 300 Fitzes today.

Time to get back on the winning track after two losing weeks, and we don't know any better or bettor way to do that then...a teaser!!! In a teaser bet the bettor can adjust the line 6 points and the odds are dependent upon how many teams are in the teaser bet. Today we like The Eagles at home over the Vikes with the line teased from Philly -14 to Philly -8; Giants at Packers with the over/under teased from 43 to 49 and we'll take the under 49 and the Bucs over the Seahawks at home with the line teased down from 6.5 t0 0.5 .

With a three team teaser the odds are 16-10 so we win 160 for every 100 bet. We'll lay 300 on this teaser, just for fun.

The game of the week (outside of the titanic Lions-Dolphins) is the Saints at Atlanta Monday night. The line favours the home team Falcons by 2.5. Too much is made over the Falcons home field run this year. We'll take the Saints but we'll announce the figure tomorrow.

  1. Rump: Re your comments on Neil Rogers:

Perhaps no one said it better than the famed bridge tender ; ABSOLUTELY CORRECT SIR.

And it a final salute, I will quote an old old drop-in from perhaps the WIOD days- one most people won't remember but would be sure to make our Uncle Neil laugh:

THAT'S MY OPINION AND I'M MIKE DISNEY.

RIP Uncle Neil. I will miss you. Thank you for the decades of entertainment.

  2. Hey Rump - any word on the appointment as STATEWIDE PROSECUTOR? Have they selected someone or narrowed down the list? Who is the frontrunner? Have a Happy Holiday everyone at the Justice Building and to you Horace....

  3. Statewide Prosecutor will be a friend of Ms. Bondi from the Tampa area -- now with a State agency, but a former prosecutor.

  4. Rump, you need to drop the whole "Cheaters" quip. It's hard for a fan of the Jets, which clearly you are, to complain about another team cheating.

Posting "coaches" on the sidelines to tackle opposing players? So declasse.

  5. I am not a Jets fan- far from it. The Cheaters cheated for years and some say cheated their way through several playoff seasons. The moniker stays.

  7. I would hate to lose Judge Andrew S. Hague, from the bench here in Miami.

He is a excellent jurist and would be our loss.

  9. Please explain to me how Andy Hague can still sit as a criminal court judge and be applying for the Statewide Prosecutor's position?

  10. Get real and stop bitching about a judge applying to be a prosecutor. While at it, also explain to me why a sitting prosecutor can apply to to be a judge.

If you really believe in this system we use then, you beleive that we are all taking a post and we can move to another post without saying we are not qualified for our former post.

    Grow up.

  11. 9:57 or should I say Andy,

You are the one who should grow up. You are a child. You will always be a child. This is why you should not be the Statewide Prosecutor: you are on the Justice Building Blog arguing a moot point.
