PAGV

Nothing surprises us anymore.
Judges in Broward throw fits from the bench.
POTUS is best friends with the French.
And now, in a shocking missive, our intrepid State Attorney has written to us to let us know she is against gun violence! (Prosecutors Against Gun Violence- PAGV).

We did not know this. But are pleased with our State Attorney's  position in this matter.

From Occupied America, where we are proud to announce we are against traffic accidents and identity theft, Fight The Power!

So you're a young (10 year) lawyer and you feel the calling -- you want to become a judge.

That's great.

You decide to make a run for it.

That's great.

But you bypass several open seats to run against a well respected 18 year incumbent that your insurance clients can't control.

Hmmm.

Then your giant insurance firm tries to disqualify that judge on all cases, even ones you've never touched.

Hmmm.

You insist it was your call and nobody put you up to it, but nobody believes it, and in fact, a day after the story breaks, you are listed as a "partner" on the firm website after doing insurance work for four whole years - even though nobody ever heard of you?

Hmmm.

Remember that your reputation at the end of the day is all you got. There's always a heavy price when you sell your soul. Those people backing you right now, when they start to feel the backlash (well deserved backlash) will pretend they never met you.

Good luck.

Hey dofus...howz san fran? Dim Sum?
You're so dim.
Who else needs help on where to eat?
Go to In-n-out Burger and have a double.
If it's no trouble
sorry to burst your bubble
but nobody's envious
and we're not a fan
even though you went to san fran

I find it hilarious that “Maximum Miller” a nickname he sought out and did everything he could to earn when he was in criminal, is now apparently some darling of the left. Some local Bernie Sanders-supporting Facebook page that popped up on my feed was championing Miller based on this unfair electoral challenge. The guy may be good for the civil plaintiffs bar but he sure never did anything I heard about for the criminal defense bar and he prided himself on being harsher than the prosecutors.

Hey MM and SIR KENNETH

Wound up go to Yank Sing for Dim Sum and then Seven Hills for Italian. Delicious.

I figured it out myself with the help of the concierge at St Regis. Nice pool and gym too. Upset that SFMOMA was closed on Wednesday. You didn’t let me know that Millennial Me?

Going to Austin in two weeks. Uchi?

Tom Scott, former Miami-Dade Circuit Judge and US Attorney (SDFLA) is a name partner at Cole Scott and Kissane. He's one of the most ethical guys I know and I'm very surprised to think he signed off on this sleeze move by his firm.

Calling someone dim who mentions dim sum? Super creative.

The Captain Reports:

BREAKING NEWS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE:

President Trump has nominated Judge Rudy Ruiz and Judge Rodney Smith for two of the open seats on the Southern District; he also named Roy Altman, a former AUSA and current partner at Podhurst Orseck (can you say big time pay cut).

Tom Scott is very overrated. Has tried very few if any cases. He is like a vanilla wafer, no taste or personality. He is rarely in office and could not name 95% of the attorneys who work there.

Pay cut for Altman, yes. But also lifetime tenure and never have to make another drop of rain fall again.

Breaking news - Trump helped facilitate peace on the Korean Peninsula. Great job. A Democrat would have just promoted war and tried to find a way to tax it. And of course paraded a bunch of “refugees” that we would be expected to pay for.

Is my spelling ok, trash kid?

MAGA

Fight the power! Keep peace in the Koreas!

Rumor is Shillary was trying to buy a cheap Korean server, but went to China instead....

To the pleasure of many, my last comment due to the ridiculous robot captcha thingy. (Sp?).

Well respected? Except amongst the criminal defense and insurance defense bars, as well as, in Judge Dennis’ chambers.
