NFL WEEK 2 2026

It is a glorious fall day here where we prepare for week two of the NFL. The leaves are beginning to change, the evenings are cool, but out picks remain 🔥thanks, in part, to Mike Francesa- of the legendary Mike and the Mad Dog radio show in New York for many years- and his podcast where he assured his listeners Georgia -25 over Arkansas was the pick for Saturday. And it wa$$$.

Today the rule is the teams that lost last week are not as bad as they seem (except for the Fins, Browns and Titans) and the teams that won are all not headed to the super bowl.

And we are going to immediately break that rule by continuing our annual early season love affair with the J...E...T...S Jets Jets Jets. We already told you earlier in the week to take the under (46 at the time, now 44). Today we take them as a +3 home dog against Green Bay, remembering that many a mansion was built by betting on home dogs.

The Vikings start Carson Wenz at QB for the second week because of the injury to Kyler Murray. All this guy Wenz has done is win a super bowl, and yet he can't get a starting job in the NFL. Today the Vikes are +5.5 visiting the seeming powerhouse Bears. We believe in Chicago, and while the points are tempting, the skinny 46 total leads us to place a sizable over bet, although the rainy weather appears to be the reason holding the line under 50.

Weather is the reason we like the under in Steelers at Cheaters- that and one team has a QB who can qualify for Medicare next year, while the other has a vastly overrated one.  Under a thin 41.

The chatter on the radio is that the Raiders getting 7 is too much against the Chargers. Be wary of thinking that the Chargers are as a bad as they looked in week one. Take the 7 if you must, but Holly go Lightly here.

The survivor pick this week is EZ Peezy- San Fran over Miami.

The intriguing game today is the Commanders +4 at Dallas. DC kept it close against Philly last week, while the cowpokes looked awful. This is the Sunday night game, so we are keeping our powder dry until we see how our picks play out- but if you must hold your nose and go with Dallas. We have made a small fortune picking against Dallas this last decade- they have never been as good as touted. But today they are not as bad as they looked last week.

Player Props: Baker Mayfield over 218 passing yards; same over .5 passing TDs; Steeler WR Roman Wilson over 33 reception yards (he dropped several deep balls next week).  Fins QB Malik Willis over 183 passing yards (you throw a lot when you're behind by 20 after the first quarter); CMC scoring one TD in that game; Dak over 267 passing yards at home against the Commies.

Survivor Pool up soon.

Reminder- state court in Miami closed tomorrow.  How many robed readers will be repenting for their decisions this past year do you think?
