There is a Jury Trial task force Town Meeting on Wednesday at 4pm.
"When Will I See You Again? " was a great 70's song by The Three Degrees.
You or your favourite judge might be humming that tune when it comes to jurors.
Alas, all is not lost. While lo these many months you have been home binge watching RHWMIA or the real housewives of Lubbock, or chess movies, a Jury Trial Task Force has been labouring away trying to bring six or twelve strangers back into your life.
Here is the flyer for the meeting. Look for Rumpole. We will be in the shadows.

Coming at ya on 610 WIOD it's When Will I See You Again...
Hwy, only an asshole could criticize this meeting. Nushin is trying the best she can to keep us safe and still get work done. You watch, some will complain.
ReplyDeleteWho is “hwy”?
ReplyDeleteAnd BTW we pretty much criticize everything. It’s what we do as a Gadfly.
Hwy is BTW when you use a stupid little phone to type.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who once was asked to sit in on a task force meeting, I now voluntarily attend just to hear the doctors--best and most accurate information on COVID I have found. They are worth listening to.

ReplyDeleteTHE CAPTAIN REPORTS:
JUSTICE STEPHEN BREYER WILL RETIRE AT THE END OF THIS TERM .....
The overriding question now becomes - can Biden nominate a new justice, get the Judiciary Committee to complete it hearings on the new candidate, and get a vote on the Senate floor, all in a matter of roughly six months; (before the Dems potentially lose their majority they currently have in the US Senate).
Justice RBG passed away on September 18, 2020 and her replacement, Justice Amy Coney Barrett, was sworn in on October 27, 2020, a mere 39 days later. So, if Biden and the Democrats have their act in order, one would think they should be able to get this done within six months, let alone six weeks. But Biden and the Dems have already proven how much they can screw things up - just look at the past 12 months.
This is a breaking story will more to follow.
CAP OUT .......
