WINNER WINNER

UPDATE: THIS DEBATE WAS NOT CLOSE

Your president kicked Joe Biden's ass. It was not close. Biden continually fumbled every time he tried to cite statistics. Trump stayed calm. He dodged his weakest point- his response to covid- Biden never attacked Trump on telling people it would magically disappear and masks were not effective.

Trump attacked one of Biden's son's military service. Biden never said "well at least he served. And didn't dodge service because he had flat feet." Biden never said "what does that have to do with you and me?" Time and time again Biden had chances and never followed through.

We got the distinct impression that the moderator Chris Wallace would have been a better debater of the president than Joe Biden was.

Biden fans- be honest. He got beat. Trump prepared and was very well prepared. He faked Biden out saying he was not preparing. He was prepared. He was as presidential as he ever has been and he stayed in his lane . Trump was on point and was the clear winner.

IF YOU ARE FOLLOWING US ON TWITTER @justicebuilding then you know Trump is cleaning Biden's clock. It is not even close.

UPDATE OK FANS WE ARE GOING TO LIVE TWEET THE DEBATE @JUSTICEBUILDING

Tune in for the witty comments you have come to expect and love

It was on everyone's mind. You couldn't go to the water cooler without hearing it: Will the Tampa Bay Lightening bring home the Cup? Well Monday night your Tampa Bay Lightening WON the Stanley Cup! And Miami and Floridians took to the streets, dancing and chanting and celebrating this "Ray" of light in a difficult year. Congrats!

We gave you the MNF game. Chiefs over Ravens and it was EZ. But then, we are rarely wrong.

Tonight the line is Biden +4 over Trump. It's difficult to give points when you are going up against the President who is a disruptive debater. But when you dive a bit deeper and realize that the matchup is a man well versed in politics and history who has successfully led  versus an ignorant buffoon who loses money every year in his business, it's not hard. Lay the four and take the Veep. We may...may...live blog the event and we might...might ...even reactivate our dormant twitter. Check back later for details.

Gotta love our new SCOTUS nominee. ACB  belongs to a group that believes  women should defer to men. Talk about peace in the home! And with that belief, can we expect no dissents unless a female justice writes the decision?

This is how you handle psychological pressure.

  1. Rump. Just like your call to take the Chiefs AND get points was -as always- brilliant - how can you turn down getting points AND Trump? Sorry but I'm taking Trump and points for a geezel.

  2. Biden +4? You must be on the same meds he's on. Biden is going to get smoked tonight by Trump. Don't be surprised if halfway through the debate he puts his hand up and starts yelling "No Mas, no mas."**

** Will any millennial know who famously said that?

  3. Props for the RD quote. Yours truly was in the arena for both contests. There is a great ESPN 30 for 30 where both men get together- the American travels to the other person's country and they meet and talk. It's an amazing show.
Meanwhile I can actually see it the other way. I do not think DJT has the intestinally fortitude to hang in there when things go bad. We shall see.

  4. Trump and Biden will be playing two different games. It’s not a debate! Trump will be baiting Biden and frothing up his base. Biden will be looking into the camera, not taking the bait, and showing the American people that he can be an even tempered POTUS for all.

There will be no “winner” because there will be no debate. To the extent that someone can “win” or “lose” it’s all on Biden. If he engages with Trump, he loses. That’s it. Trump won’t actually engage in fact driven debate. And you can’t out troll Trump.

  5. Prediction for debate outcome: America loses.

  6. Trump reads a lot and speaks very eloquently. He just can’t walk or drink water with one hand. He trains himself on classic Socratic logic and is Cicerian ( a student of Cicero). I can’t wait to see him use the big middle school words like “small “ lyin “ “crooked” and sleepy. He sure does know how to explain policy.

  8. I can't watch this shit. Too fucking nerve wracking because I have no idea what the 6% of the population that is undecided will make of this.

  9. Trump doesn't debate. He lies, insults and interrupts.

  10. I hate to say this, but I have to agree. Trump was the same blustering, vulgar, and uncivilized bully he always is, but Biden missed several golden opportunities to slap him down and show he can be aggressive when necessary. I get the strategy of seeming "presidential" but as the past has shown, Democrats have gained ZERO with the "they go low, we go high" strategy. Not saying Biden has to get down in the dirt, but he needs to pull no punches and attack. That's the only thing Trump responds to.

  11. I don't know what debate you were watching, but trump did not win this debate. He came across as totally desperate and panicky. The answer regarding violence and the elections and telling the proud boys to stand by was fucking scary....and I do mean that with no hyperbole.

  12. Rumpole ROCKED Twitter last night. Best part of the Debate.

  13. What debate FN debate were you watching???

Trump looked like a flaying LOSER. You think that puffy, melting, wax face looks Presidential? You think that his vulgar talk and bully demeanor is Presidential?

Trump incited his radical base to do violence on election night and the days after. He is a clear and present danger to all that is decent and right about America.

You and his supporters make me want to vomit. I intend to be a poll watcher although I truly believe I am putting my life in danger.

  15. The President was masterful. He owned the stage. In full command of all facts and policies. Joe looked lost.

  16. Thank you @10:17. I intend to do the same.

  17. 10:17 I assume you work for the Biden Team. Joe was surely presidential. Telling the President of the United States to Shut Up, calling him a clown. How Presidential! On top of everything else, he ahs a drug addict son who spread carp all over his Dad's reputation by being paid by foreign crooks for doing nothing, unless the price of coke is really high in Moscow and the Ukraine.
Even with Chris Wallace tossing as may softballs as he did, Biden still screwed up. Ah, we gete what we pay for in politics today . . . . boorish, uncultured narcissists with an occasional best that money can boy senator.

  18. If that's what you want in a president and feel comfortable with how he acted, given your level of education and legal experience, it speaks poorly for the country. Generally it is the uneducated, racists and anti-semites that feel that way. To see that our President has apparently ignited some in the supposed educated and professional base, deeply saddens me.

  21. I heard that the debate committee is going to station two gentlemen with cattle prods right behind the president in order to monitor the observance of the rules. An intern will fit the president with a straight jacket and a syringe full of tranquilizers will also be administered to make sure his head doesn't explode. Biden will be admonished not to call Trump a clown and will be encouraged not to implore Trump to disown rowdy, nazi terrorist groups. The next debate won't be nearly as enlightening.

  22. Never get in the mud with a pig. You both get dirty but the pig enjoys it.

  23. I respectfully disagree completely with your post and a number of the comments.

Donald Trump proved he is a bully and unfit for that office. He would have been held in contempt in any court for that behavior and if the public was looking for a shred of empathy what they saw was a petulant, self-centered tantrum by a man who is losing. America is tired of his behavior and his performance confirmed it. Joe Biden, wisely, spoke to the American people repeatedly about what mattered: their lives.

My prediction: an onslought of votes that overwhelms the Trumpists. I think the election will be called the night of November 3rd. It will be decided after Ohio breaks democratic and the 'blue wall' in the industrial midwest cements it. If Georgia, Iowa and/or Texas break blue watchout for a landslide defeat.

His conservative Supreme Court will have to decide if he can pardon himself.

  26. BR is wrong. Trump is not a pig, well he is but it is the wrong analogy. He is a pigeon and the date was a game of chess. You never play chess with a pigeon. It doesn't know the rules; and will just knock all the pieces down, shit all over the board, and strut around like it won anyway. Trump is a pigeon.

  27. Actually, the title should have been “Loser, Loser (Loser).

The American people lost as our president clearly showed that he is an unrestrained lunatic. DT lost by showing that he is a repugnant bully who cares only for himself and his ratings. DT also lost when he was unable to reject racists and we all lost when, shortly thereafter he called or his people to go to the polls and loo for violence. JB lost by, occasionally, lowering himself to DT’s level and lacking full command of the facts. My prediction: there will be blood. I am planning not to leave my house in November. Tragic.
