People are not happy with our criticism of the SAO. Boo-hoo-hoo.
From a Reader:
Your informal poll is wrong. Judges have been electronically signing agreed release orders. The State has even been contacting ASAs in other jurisdictions to secure RORs for inmates with out-of-county fugitive warrants. They are objecting to some folks being released, but writing that "state prosecutors have been pushing back hard against everything. No continuances, no releases" is not accurate.
More From out email in box:
Hey, idiot, get your head out of your ass. The SAO is working hard to accommodate defendants and their lawyers in this crisis.
Rumpole you are wrong again. As usual. The prosecutors have been reasonable and understanding.
Rumpole if there weren't wrong answers, you wouldn't have any. You have NO idea what is occurring in state court. Have another drink you washed-up fool and let someone else run your blog you dumb-f. The ASAs are being very fair.
Jerko- you are not right. Cases are being continued and bonds are being agreed to. Take down your post you moron. I hope they catch you and prosecute you for being a traitor in a crisis.
And people wonder why we have to remain anonymous. DOM gets invited to federal investitures. We get threatened with treason.
I have experienced prosecutorial generosity as well as some being too stoic. I think, for the most part, all players are trying to do the right thing
ReplyDeleteRump. I heard there is a bulletin out about other courthouses where people had been working and now tested positive. Do you have the location of those courthouses.

DeleteGentlemen, ladies, prosecutors and criminal defense lawyers. Perhaps we should take a step back, take a chill pill with the idea of continuing to be professional in the practice of law. We may disagree with the position of the other side however I believe taking pot shots at someone on the other side via the internet is counter productive and discourteous. I'm old school having served our country during time of war and later as a law enforcement officer prior to and while putting myself through law school and then prosecuting bad guys and girls since 1982. And yes, I'm still prosecuting bad folks and my grammer is bad. We may disagree but unless and until someone takes a cheap shot at you be professional. If a cheap shot is taken at you then invite that person personally outside the courthouse and take the appropriate action, and yes I've done that a time or two. Y'all stay healthy out there y'all. SAO5

It going both ways at the SAO- they are agreeing to some inmates being released that they normally would not have and some are being stubborn on people who should be released. But I agree that most are trying to do the right thing.
