I loved Run Silent Run Deep with Robert Mitchem. Saw it at the Miracle theater when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteHere is the plan. You access Compuserv because the court system uses on the best and latest technology. Look for the ChatRoom MIAMICOURTS and hit enter.
ReplyDeleteCertain dial up modems work better than others, so make sure you are using the latest 386chip computer with the fastest dialup modem on the market.
There will be a moderator in the chat room, so no cursing.
Wait your turn and type clearly. Remember etiquette- CAPS =SHOUTING
There will be a special recap of the best orders of Judges Snyder and Winton, including the famous order where Winton placed someone into PTI sparking one of the biggest separation of power fights with the Dade SAO and the court system ever seen in the State of Florida.
Only Monday night on MIAMICOURTS/COMPUSERVE
What!
ReplyDeleteWhat crazy list of submarine movies is this?
No proper list of submarine movies can lack Down Periscope, Crimson Tide, or Hunt For Red October.
True
DeleteIs there really a reason to take a sophomoric pot shot at an informative and useful communication from the chief judge. A better issue would be to see whether the concerns extend beyond the monied realms of 73v and 175 to 1351.
ReplyDeleteI loved Run Silent, Run Deep. Saw it as a kid.
ReplyDelete4;49 Mon Ami- You are correct, those are two outstanding movies. But this is Turner Classic Movies and I'm talking about black and white sub films from WWII and the cold war. But I love those two movies and Crimson Tide is way underrated. It's a great way to spend a Saturday night under quarantine.
ReplyDeleteThanks for contributing.
Tomorrow night, let's talk westerns
ReplyDeleteIf you are looking for a great uplifting diversion during these stressful times, I highly recommend "Playing for Change". Watch some of their amazing You Tube Videos. Particularly "The Weight" and "Redemption Songs" to name just two of my MANY, Many favorites.
ReplyDeleteHey Rumpole - Would you be a buyer of airline stocks at this beaten down level?
ReplyDeleteHey Rump. Is America great again yet?
ReplyDeleteSocial distancing is boring. Sometimes you do what you ought to do. Grin while you suffer. I too feel the urge to besmirch someone. Expect further anxiety in this next week. Chances are that you'll see the health effects of the pandemic in your neighborhoods. Chances of extending court shut down is significant. Keep cool. Take the long view.
ReplyDeleteI recommend Porky's, Animal House, Caddyshack, Revenge of the Nerds and Fast Times. No sub move can beat "that's my pie...".
ReplyDeleteIf you guys need some entertainment check out Wes Watson on YouTube. Former convict (served 10 years for armed robbery) who is an amazing motivational speaker.
ReplyDeleteAirlines Casinos etc Buy Buy Buy
ReplyDeleteWinton, Hickey and the Tank. What a combo of great judges that once roamed the building wearing black robes.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the Trial Master is usually right on, Clark Gable was the star in Run Silent, Run Deep. Does not take away the fact that it was and still is a great movie.
ReplyDeleteBe safe out there.
You forgot Operation Petty coat about the pink sub in WW2. Loved that movie.
