MARBURY AND MOLDAVIA

Do corporations have religious rights? The Supreme Court will examine that issue Tuesday in Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby, which deals with the Affordable Care Act and contraception. Basically everything today deals with the affordable care act. It's sort of like the Marbury v Madison of the 21st Century.

Russia may have designs on Moldavia. We have a lawyer of Moldavian descent in our own REGJB: Fred Moldovan.  Everything seems to return to the REGJB. Like six degrees of separation.

Tennis: The Sony Open is open on Key Biscayne.

Baseball: Opening day one week away!

NCAA: Gators reach sweet 16.

Miami Heat:
"We suck," Miami Heat center Chris Bosh said after Saturday night's 105-95 loss to theNew Orleans Pelicans at Smoothie King Arena. "We need to turn it around.

Truer words were never spoken.

Enjoy your week.

  3. Relatively new solo practitioner here, getting weekly emails for judicial fundraisers. Today, Tunis.

Should I attend and donate to these to get rulings?

  4. To 4:17. Yes, you should attend every judicial fundraiser. And yes, you should contribute the maximum amount allowed by law to every judge and judicial candidate. And yes, you will get rulings. Just don't expect the rulings to be in your favor because you, sir/madame, are a moron.

  5. Make sure you attend each one and tell each judge that you don't think it's appropriate to write them a check because you have cases in their division but they have your support and your vote.

  6. I wouldn't give Dava Tunis a bag of dog shit.

I am sick and tired of her being rude to lawyers and clients.

How many times can you say... from the bench...."I don't want to be rude but,..." And then, be rude????

I'm thinking, that if you are a judge, the answer to that question is, "A lot."
