DOM reports that the White House is vetting
One door closes, another one opens.
Super Bowl: We're working on our picks, including our fabled lock-no loss coin toss pick.
The way we see the game, Seattle has a great, not a good, but a great for the ages defense. Their special teams stats are off the charts amazing. For instance, they have given up a total of approximately 75 yards in punt returns, for the entire season. Many teams give up more than that in a game.
But the question is whether in this day and age with the current rules, can a great defense stop a great offense in one game?
Tune in for the answer.
UPDATE: Amanda Knox, the American college student convicted of murder in Italy, was convicted again today by an Italian Appellate court of two judges and six jurors. Knox is currently back in the US after she was released when her conviction was overturned by Italy's highest court. Knox is subject to an extradition request by Italy. The NY Times story is here.
See You In Court.
Robin RosenBERG is a State Circuit Judge in Palm Beach, and she is being vetted for the District judgeship in Ft. Pierce. Robin RosenBAUM is currently a federal district judge in Ft. Lauderdale, and she has been nominated to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Neither is a magistrate (although Rosenbaum was).
ReplyDeleteDo you mean the 3 time defending Eastern conf champions and 2 time defending NBA champions? Is that the team that you are unloading on because of a meaningless January loss? You must be like the Knick fan that works for me Rump. His team sucks so all he can do is try to find solace when the Heat stumbles at all......
ReplyDelete"no talent, no heart, no hustle, cry babies"
ReplyDeleteRump, this causes a serious injury to your credibility.
Do you mean the the eastern division champion for three consecutive years? Are you talking about the current back to back NBA champions. The team that humiliated and broke up your beloved Celtics? You get to enjoy one game every once in a while, the Heat have been laughing and dancing for three years.

ReplyDeleteRumpole posted more mistkes tody thn for ll of lst yer combined.
Colony wearing a heat jersey in court is beyond tacky and lacking in class...
ReplyDeleteBerg, baum....what's the difference?
ReplyDeleteDid anyone see the incredibly tasteless and self-serving article by Richard Sharpstein's gf in today's Herald?!
ReplyDeleteI think the kids these days say WTF?!
Here come all the front running Heat fans. But I promise you this- a week long losing streak, and missing the playoffs, and all you will hear are crickets like at any Dolphins or Marlins game currently.
ReplyDeleteJudge Rosenberg's team has been working hard to knock Thomas out because they wanted that seat for her originally. Politics at play
ReplyDeleteI'll grant you no heart and no hustle. The thing is that when they do decide to put in the heart and hustle, I do think they're talented.
ReplyDeleteFortunately it will be awhile before the frontrunners have to worry. You on the other hand have been crying for at least three years. The heat of the 21st century is better faster and funner than any Celtic team in the last 30 years. You will probably be in your hundreds before the heat lose to the Celtics in a playoff series.
ReplyDeleteBased on my health regimen I would live to see it. But more likely the crybabies will get spanked and run away crying before facing the Celts or Knicks in conf finals. So you might be right.
ReplyDeleteit will be the heat v indiana. Celtics and knicks have no prayer.
ReplyDeleteRumpole is just trying to juice things up on this blog, which has been kind of slow lately, by attacking the Heat--it's his default move. Let's see if he posts anything if the Heat beat his beloved, but flawed, Knicks this Saturday. Yeah the Knicks, there's a team with a lot of heart--just ask Mr. Hustle, J.R. Smith, as he unties the shoelaces of his opponents in between suspensions, benchings, and trips to the neck tattoo parlor.

ReplyDeleteRICHARD SHARPSTEIN
Yes I saw the article about Sharpy and also say: "wtf?" She's a joke. She knew him for the proverbial 5 minutes. Those who knew Sharpy for years, knew his friends, family & Janice were his life. Yes he was going through a divorce. It was what it was. She was a new-rebound gf. That doesn't erase three decades of legal partnership, family & relationship. Anyone who ever worked with or opposed Sharpy & Janice, know they were a true team, in and out of court.
What's really sad is the lack of depth this woman seems to have. Take her to lunch or play tennis? Is she for real? How superficial can one be? Perhaps worse to many, were the funeral services which included her and omitted Janice. In very poor taste by the planners. Janice was forbidden from attending. SERIOUSLY? Any of us who tried cases with Sharpy know Janice wrote everything ever argued on behalf of their clients. Divorce has horrendous effects on people, but it does not force them to commit suicide. That is reared by lifelong demons that a cute, new gf can never fathom.
That Beach Buzz was a disgrace to Richard, Janice and their children; it was far beneath their dignity as a family.
