  35. i just got site up still no changes

    ReplyDelete
  36. Looks like a win for most of the good guys. It might bode well for the future of judicial elections, but my gut tells me its mostly thanks to the bad weather and the lackluster races at the top of the ballot--only those who cared and knew for whom to vote actually voted.
Congrats to Alex Villalobos--proves people appreciate an honest man who does what he believes is right rather than kowtow to the powers that be.

    ReplyDelete
  37. You're out of town. You don't get channel 7. AND YOU NEED HELP???

  52. How did Pando win by so much?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Juan and Ivan; you lose because you think that corruption is alive in dade county. The voters showed you what democracy means

    ReplyDelete
  54. A toast to democracy (although I did vote for Ivan)! It really looks like the voters got it right for the most part.

    ReplyDelete
  55. A look at Rumpole's site meter shows that there are lots of people on the blog right now.

    ReplyDelete
  56. pando was a suprise. Marino had some very good promotion. ad's at every bus stop, huge billboards up and down US 1, and more. Plus the neg press against mcwhorter in the herald because of the calculated frivolous lawsuit did her in.

    ReplyDelete
  57. McWhorter should strike back for that BS lawsuit and smearing her name at the last minute!!!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Holy Shit, the elections are not being decided merely by race or ethnicity? What county am I in? How can it be? What could it mean?
    Help us Rumple, Please.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Patty, remember - speedies in county court are 90 days - not 180 like on tickets

  63. THE CAPTAIN REPORTS:

With 95% of the votes counted, we are now prepared to call:

Judge Robin Faber (sounds good, eh Robin)

Judge Gloria Gonzalez-Meyer (sorry Mike Samuels)

Just to keep it interesting, we have 3 races that are 51% to 49%:

    Schwartz over Mendez 51-49
    Schwartz over Llorens 51-49
    Cohn over Rippingille 51-49

and Cathy Parks is still trying to figure out who will be her runoff opponent: Mendez over Garcia 30-29.

  69. Who would like to run my campaign next year?

    ReplyDelete
  70. wrong....Arthur Arnau pulled 200 votes.............what a great great campaign ? Arthur who ?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Arthur Arnau pulled in 200 votes..., his neighbors voted for him at the last moment.....what a campaigner.....Arthur who ?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Marino lawsuit was valid. McWhorter's own counsel acknowledged the violations. Blog published some. Palm Bch Judge merely ruled it was for JQC to enforce and not Judiciary. Did not want to undermine voting public by removing from bench. So stop your whining. Herald endorsed McWhorter so what the F are you talking about.
