  1. I'm a dui guy/gal and for what its worth, a client came to see me today who saw Jim Best previously and said Best told him he ran a Justice Building blog in secret and all the judges loved him.

  5. Seen at a small Temple in The Doral Area: Migna and a small group of Jewish ladies sitting around a table and talking, concluding the chat with a new twist on her favorite song:

    Migna's for Israel
    Israle's for Migna
    Oh Shelly can't you see?

    Israel's for Migna
    Migna's for Israel

  10. Hmm Hardwick...I thought you were Mr Big shot. "Notice of intent to sue" shut it down by noon, etc..

You seem to be reduced to sitting by your computer all day waiting for rumpole to take off moderation. Doesn't seem like you're all that important or powerful, as Rumpole still gets a thousand hits a day and a 100 comments a post.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Umm..hey nutso..why is my reader calling you Hardwick?

    ReplyDelete
  12. oops i forgot. I can't get your answer because your email is blocked from my account. Kinda of frustrating for you, isn't it? Having to sit and read this and not be able to do anything. arrgh.

Judge Ivan Hernandez is a veteran of the vietnam war. (His critic never served his country..wimp.)

Judge Hernandez is a widely respected Judge who tried many many jury trials while presiding in the Justice Building.

Judge Hernandez defeated a disgraced judge in the previous election. He is clearly the choice of Miami.

    Judge Hernandez will win.
    The crazy people will lose.

  56. I think Hernandez should be endorsed. The ad instance is nonsense. Just because his wife's name was on the ad didn't mean she authorized the ad. She is listed as his campaign treasurer.

    LETS RE-ELECT IVAN HERNANDEZ.

  63. That sign, and most other signs, seem to be skirting election rules because the disclaimers are so small no one can read them. The candidate handbook says that such signs "prominently state" the disclaimer. "Any political advertisement that is paid for by a candidate and that is published, displayed, or circulated prior to, or on the day of, any election must prominently state: “Political advertisement paid for and approved by (name of candidate) (party affiliation) for (office sought).”"

    ReplyDelete
  70. Ivan Hernandez respected? Puleeze! The man doesn't understand the law or ethics, he's hardly ever there and is known to be rude to litigants. He looks away while his JA breaks the law and then tries to say he didn't know out of one side of his mouth and it's a free country so he can do what he wants out of the other. He only is on the bench because his predecessor had ethical lapses of his own trying to pick up prostitutes on Biscayne Boulevard. Ivan is worse because his ethical lapses reflect on his actions during his day job rather than after it.

  75. Lady Themis, you are surely on drugs or just flat out crazy. If the circuit bench were primarily criminal, your comments would make some sense. However, there is a lot of civil activity that goes on. Marissa Mendez has never tried a case. She will readily admit that, whereas Cathy Parks has a lot of trial experience. Her nursing background is important because so many cases involve personal injury, wrongful death, murder, construction accidents, etc. I would just like to add that your grammar is pathetic, but I won't go there very much. If writing appellate briefs qualifies you to be a trial judge then get me out of here. Parks is also a member of the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court, for the record. Parks has also been voted a "Top Attorney in South Florida" by the South Florida Legal Guide and no one in her race has a chance of getting that.
