The US is in a pickle. No off ramp in Iran, and fighting an enemy who has identified victory as outlasting, outwitting, and surviving the attacks. Where have we seen that before? (Hint: Vietnam). Here's something fun:
Nate Swanson spent nearly two decades in the U.S. government, including most recently as a State Department representative on the Trump administration’s Iran negotiating team and previously as the National Security Council’s director for Iran in the Biden administration. Days before the U.S. bombed Iran, Swanson published a piece predicting that Iran would do exactly what it has done should the U.S. attack. So he's our government expert, right, providing the President with much needed expert advice? Nope. He was forced out of government because some rightwing influencer nut attacked him and MAGA responded. Here's the Politico article. This is what happens when you govern by a mob.

And in case you're like Mr. Markus, in the middle of a Venezuelan oil/50 million fraud trial and working all weekend, or a robed reader polishing your candy crush scores, you may have missed this ending to the Duke -Connecticut elite 8 matchup. From 15 points down at the half, UConn came back to win on a last minute 3 from the logo. Two questions: 1) Duke should not have passed and instead held the ball to draw a foul, right? And 2) Is Braylon Mullin's shot better than Christian Laettner's shot in 1992 propelling #1 Duke over #2 Kentucky into the final four? What a great debate.

Painful as it was to my bracket, I have to give it to UConn. Not only a steal was required but then a deranged, nothing but net shot from the logo. Staggering.
Plus Mullins's haircut is orders of magnitude worse than Laettner's which adds substantially to the obnoxiousness quotient.
You said this war would be simple. Rare but huge miss by Rumpole. I think this will end up being the worst we have ever lost a war in the history of the country.

The “judges” elevator has been down for about a month. They’ve been using one of the main elevators for “judges only”. You can imagine what that does to normal traffic. Jury’s etc. Trying to make your way down from 7? Don’t take the stairs to 6 and try to catch the escalator. It’s not working on the 5th or 1st floors.
No one fucking cares Michele. No reason to be anonymous, as your FACDL email got zero responses. He is already not eligible to practice law in Florida.

We should all care…. And many of us appreciated the listserv message. He is only ineligible to practice in Florida because he voluntarily did not keep his license up to date. He can remedy that at any time and become eligible to practice in Florida unless the Bar steps in to deal with his egregious conduct. The SAO watched it all happed for years and did nothing. Hopefully the Florida bar and Supreme Court will address what others were afraid to confront.
His current ability to practice law has nothing to do with the purpose of the complaint(s)... some of you prosecutors are so so dumb you can't see the forrest for the trees!

The only people that don’t care are unethical prosecutors and MVZ’s buddies, and by the looks of it, I’m there’s only a couple of those buddies left… and we all know which one is on the FACDL listserv to know about Michele’s email.
