AS FLORIDA GOES ....

Florida is considered a bell-weather state. The problems a candidate has here are illustrative of the problems they have in other states.

Item: After a disastrous summer spent insulting the parents of a dead marine killed in combat, and demonstrating a remarkable inability to grasp fundamental issues (for example, Trump did not know what the nuclear triad is and pondered why we spend so much money on nuclear weapons but don't use them) Donald Trump is polling ahead of Hillary Clinton in Florida.

Why?

Because Clinton cannot, at the moment, reassemble the Obama coalition in Florida. While she leads Trump among educated voters, women voters, millennials, and Hispanics, she doesn't lead Trump by the numbers Obama won those groups over Romney.

Thus, Donald J Trump, the least prepared person in the history of this Universe to be president, has a chance to become President of the United States.

Sorry to ruin your Monday.

Who's in trial?

This football Sunday made one thing very clear: it wasn't that the Dolphins were good that kept their game against the Seahawks close in week one. It was how bad the Seahawks were. Thus, the Fins were blown out in week two.

Newman!
Speaking of the the Fins, we didn't get a invite to a victory party that Circuit Judge Ed Newman's staff threw for him this past Friday, but we heard it was very nice, including the ol-softie tearing up at the end.

See You In Court.

Anyone who has been paying attention with a semi-reasonable and conscious mind has already made peace with the fact of an inevitable Trump presidency. He's winning Florida and Ohio, while Pennsylvania is a tie. It's coming folks, like it or not. Only the blind Clinton/democratic party loyalists and their controlled media outlets seem to believe otherwise.

And full disclosure, I personally loathe the thought of a Trump presidency. The writing is just on the wall.

Loved the story that broke today about Hillary's IT chief, in receipt of an FBI subpoena, posting on reddit looking for ways to tamper with the emails.

Hadn't heard this story? Geez I wonder why the national media would ignore it.... Surely it will make the networks tonight, right?

Id love to see Rump's reaction to learning that a lowly Assistant State Attorney, in response to a discovery obligation, was desperately changing and deleting evidence before complying. I have no doubt he'd demand the ASA be fired.

And that is a $42,000/year job (by the way, thanks Kathy!). This is President of the United States.

Im sure Hillary's IT chief acted independently and without her knowledge. Posting on reddit. Asking for ways to delete a "very VIP" email address and data from a digital record. Acting under subpoena from the FBI.

B-B-But Trump is... is... Hitler!

Needless to say, I am appreciative for my re-election. Yes. I cried at the celebration party staff put on last Friday. Sorry, if anyone feels slighted for not being invited. It was a surprize. If I had known, I would have invited all of you.

Are there that many stupid, ill informed people in our country?

The Captain Reports:

According to the Florida Bar, as of September 1, 2016, there were 102,783 members. As of today, that number grew by a total of 1,634 as that is the number of attorneys that based the Bar and are now eligible to be sworn in.

Congrats.

Cap Out .....

Thanks for elevating County Judge Ed Newman to the Circuit Court. We need him on that bench!!

If and when Trump does get elected, remember this comment. Remember that you supported him. Realize that you were part of the tipping point for this country downgrading from respected to ridiculed. Know you helped elect a buffoon. Congrats.

Also, if you actually have real evidence that an ASA did something wrong, then bring it to the court's attention. Or at least to their supervisor's. Otherwise it's just the usual bullshit Alex Michaels-esque "prosecutors are all evil" bullshit.

How can anyone with a brain think it's ok for Hillary to be president. The most corrupt candidate ever. Trump is our savior!
