WILDCARD WEEKEND 2011

SUNDAY'S PICKS UPDATED BELOW.

Here we go...the NFL Playoffs are here, but remember:
Alles mit Maß und Ziel

Saturday's games:

Defending Champs New Orleans Saints are at Seattle. The Saints are favoured by 10.5. We would love to predict a Seattle upset- the first team in NFL history to make the playoffs with a losing record beating the Super Bowl Champs. We just can't do it. The over/under is 45. Take the over 45 for 400. If you have to, take the Saints and lay the points.

The J...E...T...S....travel to Indy to play the Colts. Very simple analysis to pick this game. Which team has the better QB? Hmm....Peyton Manning.....Mark Sanchez.....Peyton Manning....Mark Sanchez. A QB can carry a team for a game in the playoffs. The Colts are at home, inside, on turf, and Peyton Manning is their QB. Take the Colts -2.5 for 500.

WHY CAN'T THE DOLPHINS FIND A COACH?
Jason Cole eviscerates the Fins and their weird owner Stephen Ross here.

Where have you gone Wayne Huizinga? South Florida turns its lonely eyes to you.

SUNDAY' S GAMES:

Philly -2.5 at home for our pick versus DOM and for 750 Vicks. Gonna ride this Vick train for all the Cheese steaks in Philly.

Mr. Markus has already bit the dust with the Peyton "break my heart again in the playoffs" Colts. FYI- Manning is something like one and done eight times in the playoffs.

The Chiefs are three point home dogs against the Raven's. The Raven's are the best road playoff team this decade and of course they have a punishing defense. We're kicking ourselves for yesterday's picks because we really liked the Seahawks at home but couldn't pull the trigger. When you examine the metrics of this game, the teams are fairly well matched. The Chiefs are about three-four points better on offense and the Ravens are about three to four points better on defense. We think the Ravens should pull this one out, but the Chiefs are not a bad pick at +155 to forego the line, lay a hundred KC Barbecue ribs to get back 155.

We're pulling for the Chiefs but we're just not sure. So when in doubt, take the over 40.5 for 250 Cassels.

What was the final tally between you and DOM, and what were your winnings for the season? I never saw any results in the blog.

Jets will win BECAUSE they are playing indoors where surfer dude sanchez wont be cold. Don't forget, half of the colts starters are out for the season

Meals found with insects at Orange Co. Jail
.The Associated Press
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Central Florida authorities say inmates did not end up eating any insects found in meals delivered to the Orange County Jail.
Jail spokesman Allen Moore says inmates and staff at the Whitcomb unit found insects on some food trays. The trays were collected and about 200 meals were replaced. Moore says the insect problem didn't impact any of the other 3,400 meals being served Friday.

Rumpole:

Care to comment on the new rules that we "may" see this weekend during the NFL Playoffs. I am wondering what brillant strategies head coaches will be coming up with in playoff OT games.

I can see the blank stares now when, the receiving team gets the ball, takes it down the field, throws an INT, which is possessed, returned and fumbled back to the original team with the ball. They go on to score a FG. They win. The other team does NOT get an offensive possession. That seems to be one of the peculiar interpretations of the new rule.

9:19...ur a dumbass

A) Sanchez' home stadium is OUTDOORS and in balmy NY.

B) The Jets lost their 4-time Pro Bowl nose tackle 5 minutes into their season

C) The Jets lost their starting safety with 3 weeks left in the season

D) Brad Smith barely played last night

I'm going to assume you are a bitter dolphin fan that is sick of the revolving QB door here in Miami. Enjoy mediocrity with Sporano....

The Colts can't stop the run...that's why they lost

Bring on the Pats

Chiefs and Eagles. Very tough to bet against a home dog in the playoffs. These offerings are too good to pass up. I am the only person on this planet who took the Seahawks (got them at +13). Remember this: if it snows, take the over. Receivers always know where they are going. Cornerbacks compensate with their quickness which disappears on a slippery surface.
