ABRAHAM LINCOLN'S DEATH

Abraham Lincoln, our 16th President, and our greatest, died today at 7:22 a.m in 1865.

Secretary Of War Edwin Stanton  State William H.  Seward was reported to have said

"Now he belongs to the ages.

Of all the wonderful things Lincoln said, perhaps this short sentence carries the most meaning after the last four years we have been through:

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”

  1. Everyone knows Lincoln always had his staff move his chair whenever he decided to sit some place different in the white house. So did kennedy with his stupid rocking chair.

  2. Regular reminder that if you are not obese, if you are without morbidity, and you are under 65, your risk from COVID-19 has been less than the risk you face driving in Miami. What's more, states without mask mandates suffered no greater incidence of cases or deaths than states with mask mandates. A reminder that Vitamin D, regular exercise, and a good diet have been far more important than any number of curfews, quarantines, school closures, six feet of distance, or double and triple masking.

Having said that, if it means we no longer have to fight for parking in the Gerstein lots and stand around in courtrooms until judges who are "running a little late" finally take the bench at 9:45, I am all in favor of treating the VARIANTS as the second coming of EBOLA-HIV-PLAGUE.

Never open the courts! Never meet clients in person! Cashapp me and Ill arraign you in underwear! Zoom forever! Viva la Variants!
