Your new Circuit Judges are …..
Judge Ramiro Areces;
Judge Christina DiRaimundo;
Judge Robert Watson:
All are county court judges heading to circuit... (hmmm sense a trend here?)
AND
Your new county court judges are...
Elisabeth Espinosa (Cole Scott and Kissane- cue star wars Darth Vader music)
Julie Harris Nelson (Former ASA)
Miesha Darrough (Fed AUSA and former ASA)
Ayana Harris (Fed PDS)
Three former Prosecutors and one PD....the scales of Justice are leaning just a weeee bit to the right.
Miesha was also a former asa. Having tried a case against her in federal court, I can tell you that we are very fortunate to have her coming on board. She is brilliant, good natured, calm, and a whole lot more. She will be a great addition to the bench. Ayana is also kick ass. Don't know the others, but those two are very good choices.
ReplyDeleteCSK IS THE DEATH STAR. AND IF YOU KEEP THIS UP THEY WILL EVISERATE YOU. they will unleash a death beam of lawyers and litigation. Just watch. They are the dark side of the force.
ReplyDeleteRamiro Areces is totally unqualified to be a judge either in county court and now circuit court. He has never tried a jury trial, has no experience in litigation and follows in the footsteps of his Mother who also had no judicial experience since she sold Amway products before she ran against the vulnerable Bruce Levy. Our bench is reached an all time low. Sad and Pithic....
ReplyDeleteCSK is the Q's arch enemy
ReplyDeleteWhy does Rump hate CSK
ReplyDeleteBecause CSK is the evil empire
ReplyDeleteI had DV Injunction with Ramiro Areces. He couldn't have been nicer and he knew what he was talking about.
ReplyDeleteYes, I too am no fan of his mother.
The CSK issue notwithstanding, Ms Espinosa is an outstanding lawyer, with superb demeanor and brains. She will be a great judge.
ReplyDeleteCan we stop calling lawyers "brilliant?"
ReplyDeleteWell as the older lawyer of 5is bunch - I liked Mr Areces’ mother. She didn’t know a lot about criminal law but she stayed out of my way and let me do what I do.
ReplyDelete509 - sure but we can and should use the appellation for certain bloggers who write superbly.
I too had a great experience with Judge Barbara Areces.
ReplyDeleteShe ruled in Defendant's favor in a VERY hotly contested VOP [no technical violations] just a very serious new felony arrest. State insisted the VOP be heard first. Had TWO senior ASA's litigate it. One was the division chief. Her ruling was correct courageous under the circumstances.
I found her patient and willing to listen to evidence and complicated fact pattern.
ReplyDeleteYour "brilliant" NFL football picks after 15 weeks read 33-37-4; uh, not so brilliant after all.
Couple of things. First, I'm pretty sure I am 50-21-4.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I am so busy that I freely admit I do not have the time to closely track my picks. Most of my picks are made while on a Subway in DC, on Amtrack between DC and NYC, or on the flight to LA.
Why is it that you are so obsessed with the blog and me that you track all my picks for six months. In other words, as the late, great Neil Rodgers would say "Get a life".
But thanks for your efforts and obsessions.
Your so dumb. It's Amtrak not Amtrack.
ReplyDeleteThere's no sense fighting with Rumpole. His put downs are legendary. You think you have him cornered and then he counter punches off the ropes and knocks you on your butt.
ReplyDelete"You're" so dumb. It's "you're" not "your".
ReplyDeleteI thought "you're" means you are.
ReplyDeleteDid I miss something???
Actually modern usage allows for either "your" or "you're" in that context.
ReplyDeleteBarbara Areces is a fine judge who started out not knowing a lot in criminal but worked very hard to come up to speed and did. A thoughtful, careful, fair judge. One night when she was on emergency duty, she signed an order for me at a dinner at the Biltmore - not a whole lot who would do that.
ReplyDeleteRump please share some stories of your time working for Reno. Never gets old.
ReplyDelete3:48: no, modern usage does not allow for either “your” or “you’re” in that context. Only a complete fucking ignoramus would suggest that it does.
