We all lead busy lives and we try and squeeze in some exercise and some entertainment but along the way we sometimes get tripped up. Thus the sad saga of ace Survivor Pool player Clayton Kaeiser who last week sent us a pick of a team he had already picked. As the emails flew back and forth at a frantic pace and the opportunities for picks slipped away, it was only when all was lost did Mr. Kaeiser realize he was communicating with US and not one of the other pools he is in. Thus, having first made a pick of a team he had picked before, and then not having fixed it in time, he defaulted out.
Meanwhile Dan Lurvey, secure in his Sunday pick of the Ravens hadn't realized they had played on Thursday night. But he fixed his pick in time and grabbed the Giants for a MNF win and he proudly marches on. Jason Ireland also fell last week, hoping for a Pack bounceback that fizzled.
So now there are four!
Here are the picks this week:
RFFB: Cowpokes; De Lao Over- NE Cheaters; Lucy Lew - Fins; Lurvey-Raiders.
In other news, the Cast Of Hamilton (great musical if you can get the ducats) ended the show with a message to VP elect Pence who was in the audience about inclusion and fairness in our society, which caused our busy Pres-elect to take to twitter to complain. Was the cast of Hamilton out of line? We say no.
Also making twitter was the resounding standing ovation for the lines in the musical celebrating immigrants. Having seen the show, its always an applause getter, but apparently last night it was a show stopper.
Yes, among our many varied talents, we also have our finger on the pulse of Broadway. Enjoy your Sunday.
Way out of line. If they wanted to communicate with him, they should have called or sent a message. Was a cheap shot to do it that way, and was intended to embarrass the guy in front of a home field crowd. Like a judge who decides to take personal shots at a lawyer during calender call. Not brave, cowardly.
ReplyDeleteI am the best. And I am laughing at the chump Claytdumb herr kaeiser-roll who couldn't get his leagues straight and bounced out at week ten. What a fool tool not cool schmool. I'd say who the only two worse chumps are but the ruler of this blog has ruled I cannot talk anymore about how bad those idiotic ticketing ruling dandy chumps are, so you know who I am talking about. Ying and yang. Humpty and dumpty. Moe and Larry. Laurel and Hardy. Trump/Pence. You get the idea and the picture.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile let me say this. I am taking down Lurvey who is waaay out of his league and Lucy lew sounds like one of those c-level superheroes in marvel comics from the 1950's and Ireland should go munch some potatos. De la judge is my only concern here, but I will outsmart outwit and outlast hizzoner.
I HEREBY NOMINATE THE TERM CLAYDUMB FOR PICKING THE SAME TWO TEAMS IN DIFFERENT WEEKS AND BEING DEFAULTED OUT OF THE POOL FOR THIS BLOG AS IN " moe and larry pulled a Claydum and picked the Browns two weeks in a row and they are out!" hahahahahahaha.
See ya next yearclaydumb and wouldn't want to be ya.
It's going to be a very shumie-Thanksgiving as RenGenII keeps its pop-up restaurant open on calle ocho this week for a Pavo (turkey) festival. Try the Turkey-three-ways platter with a fried wing, a steamed ground turkey thigh dumpling with hoisen-mango glaze, and a brined smoked turkey leg with chittlin-hamhock stuffing. It goes great with their very popular Calle-Ocho lager, a local small batch beer RenGenII brews. Also on the menu is a spinach-okra gluten free stuffing fritata for the veggy crowd, a sweet potato pie made from specially selected organic Hawaiian Yams, and a one hundred dollar small plate of 47 hour braised organic pork cheeks with black truffle sauce. It's a few bites for a hundred bucks, but you will soon realize this is what heaven must be. Treat yourself this week.
ReplyDeleteYou have anger issues REAL FAKE FORMER JUDGE. You need to call SIR KENNY the concierge at Loews and arrange for a soothing massage at their world famous FEILER Spa, maybe a little lunch pool side where you will be personally served by High Pitch Eric and Bobo and then attend a relaxing lecture given by several REAL FORMER JUDGES on life after a wonderful career on the bench and how presiding in the Justice Building and the lifelong relationships that were made were a highlight of our lives.
ReplyDeleteLose the anger. Be kind. Be compassionate. Do good things. Have happy thoughts. Train your mind. Be sober. Try the meatball at PRIME ITALIAN.

1:34 a/k/a Newbie- Shumie is a noted if not famed raconteur, restaurateur, and litigator. He achieved Blog fame if not infamy with the explosion of the use of the term Shumie-Time to denote the end of the day, the time of the day you're not working, a time of day when you crack a few cold ones and sit back and chillax, or any combination of those times. He runs Miami's most successful Cigar emporium, and was proprietor of a famed nightclub and eatery called The REN (a venue) which has now morphed into an exclusive gourmet eatery renown for it's innovative fusion cooking and farm to table philosophy, called RenGenII.
ReplyDeleteHow does a newbie get a table at the Ren? Is it more difficult than JOE'S or the Houstons in Aventura? How do I get an intro to meet "The Shumie"? SIR KENNY really royalty? I'm just a first year intern at the SAO.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to declare myself the WINNER in picking the Cowboys over the ravens today, sending me to week 12 as the clear and odds on fav to WIN the survivor pool of this blog and just for fun I pledge to run the table and pick a winner every week for the rest of the season and all the playoffs and super bowl game if I don't rumpole can declare the second place chump the winner winner chicken dinner.

Not expecting a response from Moe and Larry or Laurel and Hardy, or George and Ringo, or Abbott and Costello, or Burns and Allen, or The Lone Ranger and Tonto, or Batman and Robin, or ...you get the picture, those two sobe losers we all know and chuckle at.

Don't be an idiot 2:37. The REN (a venue) is closed, although when it was open they didn't let mushes like you in. Now the hot table is RenGenII which is a pop-up phenom.
ReplyDelete10-0 Rams over Dolphins. Lucy baby honey sweetie pie. Football is a MAN'S game. Leave the picks to us. The Dolphins? Really? I could have given you the Bills, the Steelers, ez peezy or just be a good girl and follow my picks and take the cowboys baby. But it's too late.
ReplyDeleteHa! Rffj = Douche
ReplyDeleteCongrats Lucy Lew
ReplyDeletePlease ban REAL FAKE FORMER JUDGE. Not REAL FORMER JUDGE. One is real and one is fake. One is best friends with SIR KENNY and one is not. Do the right thing RUMPOLE.
ReplyDeleteCheap shot on pence. If they did it to a liberal democratic you'd absolutely call it cowardly. Apparently republicans can't enjoy the theatre anymore, just ask Lincoln
ReplyDeleteI for would encourage boycotting this show.
The liberals can't get over the country spoke and does not them and their failing policies or criminal leaders in power. When will they stop crying. The people have spoken.
The inauguration is months away and every day the social justice warriors are complaining how bad the winners of the election are.
All trump has done so far is keep a ford plant from moving to Mexico and along with it keeping thousands of jobs here. I bet those employees aren't going to publicly try to embarrass him.
Trumps done more as president elect than Obama did in 8 years.
3 violent attacks on police in one day. Where is our president talking about this to the American people. And Liberal bloggers talking about irrelevant football picks. Shameful.
