Sunday NY Times:
Crossing the Line: How Donald Trump Behaved With Women In Private:
Donald Trump and women:
The words evoke a familiar cascade of casual insults, hurled from the safe
distance of a Twitter account, a radio show or a campaign podium. This is the
public treatment of some women by Mr. Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee
for president: degrading, impersonal, performed. “That must be a pretty
picture, you dropping to your knees,” he told a female contestant on “The
Celebrity Apprentice.” Rosie O’Donnell, he said, had a “fat, ugly face.” A
lawyer who needed to pump milk for a newborn? “Disgusting,” he said.
Read the story yesterday online. Not sure we learned anything new about the Donald. And not sure it's going to matter with woman voters. He is who he is. Everybody knows that by now. He's a pig when it comes to how he treats women. He's a man of privilege and has never had to answer to anyone, except maybe his father. He treats women all the same, like a prized object.
ReplyDeleteHRC and her campaign can run all the ads they want using the snippets from this story. If they do then they are missing the point of what is driving the electorate to DJT. They don't give a rats ass how he treats women, or Mexicans, or Muslims. They care about the way those inside the Washington beltway has treated the American Public for far too long. He has tapped into that.
And with an opponent like Hillary, Trump will continue to do what he does best and Hillary's baggage will make his message that much easier to communicate to voters.
(and no, this is not an endorsement of Trump)

ReplyDeleteSomeone should check to see if he made a contribution to Fred Seraphin's campaign, or vice versa. Their views seem to overlap, somewhat.
ReplyDeleteBefore "The Donald" starts accusing Bill Clinton of being a bad guy because he has an affair or two, one thing you can say is, at least, Bill did not run away. He was not a coward, and dealt with Hillary in a way that saved their marriage and the life they have now built together.
ReplyDeleteDoes anybody remember, or for that matter want to remember Marla Maples, and how Ivana Trump found out. Here is the story of how Donald ran away from Ivana rather than face up to it.
By most accounts, the ailing marriage between the Trumps took its fatal downhill plunge during the couple’s stormy Christmas holiday in Aspen in 1990, where they were seen arguing on the slopes and outside Bonnie’s, a popular restaurant on the mountain. Another vacationing skier reports that on Dec. 29 Ivana became enraged when she learned that actress-model Maria Maples was also at the resort. Donald could not be without her, and brought her to Aspen while he was with his family. This is a man of outstanding moral character and family values.
Two days later, according to one witness, when Maples, who was then 26, walked out of Bonnie’s, Ivana confronted her, demanding, “You bitch, leave my husband alone.” Trump, who was sitting within earshot putting on his skis, in an act of unbelievable cowardice, took off down the mountain. Bad judgment: Ivana was an excellent skier; Donald was not. When the formidable Czech pushed off in hot pursuit, fascinated observers swear they saw her whip in front of Donald, and then ski backwards down the slopes, screaming at him and wagging her finger in his face.
Hmmm. What is he going to do when his boyfriend, Vladimir, gets angry. Hide under the table? Hang up the phone? Oh, I know. He will just say, "You're Fired."
Donald, as a CEO, has a better record of equal pay for women in executive positions and equal treatment of women. If I'm wrong, show me facts. Actual facts. Not just your unsubstantiated opinion. Guarantee you can't. Another one stumped by the trump.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, his comments while he was a reality tv personality. That's your biggest beef against him. How about Benghazi? How about Shillary being owned by the Saudis or Wall Street. How about Hillary kissing David duke. How about Hillary re-victimizing all the women ol bill sexually harassed .
ReplyDeletePriorities. Liberal logic is amusing. Call a fat woman fat, get crucified. Get Americans killed overseas and likely facing a federal indictment, you're a hero.
Let's not forget one of Hilary's latest quotes, " women are the primary victims of war. We lose our husbands, fathers, and sons". Go to Arlington, Hillary. Let's see who the real victims are.
She constantly panders to women, as if having a vagina makes you qualified to be president. My dog has one, not qualified to pick up the morning paper.
Make America Great Again. Go Trump. Go to prison, Hillary.
I'm having a hard time deciding which one of them stinks the least. So far, I've found no difference between Hillary and Trump and I'm at a loss over who to vote for or whether to skip the presidential race altogether and move down the ballot to the judges and city commissioners.

ReplyDeleteIf you think about it, DJT is a patriarch in the finest Italian tradition. He is boorish and sexist and objectifies the hell out of women but, on the whole, you can't really say he is a misogynist. And while he does objectify, he has a track record of admiring women with looks *and* brains. Yeah, he is not an "as long as she smart and qualified" dude; she's gotta be nice to look at, too. Like Berlusconi, he will fill his administration with smart, attractive women. idk, is that a terrible thing?
ReplyDeleteHere we go again with Captain Cool(ey) Law gracing us with his community-college-level wit and insight. What would we ever do without it.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, dude, go away.
Have there been any sightings as of late of Jeff Feiler, intercontinental man of mystery?
ReplyDelete8:45 - You make me believe in a woman's right to choose more every time I read your bubble-dwelling dribble. I would like to talk to your mother and ask her, if she knew what you would grow up to be, would she have aborted you? You have to be a frustrated single man who has not gotten laid since the last hooker you paid.
ReplyDeleteTrump has to be your hero, if only because all you know how to do in response to facts is insult those who disagree with you. In your own words: "Seriously, dude, go away." Only I would add: "Far far away, maybe back to Nazi Germany, where you would feel at home."
Lizzy Bordon
Anybody that has ever voted or plans to vote for a Clinton has exactly zero room to criticize how a candidate treats women.
ReplyDelete9:41 Wasn't me.

I think 11:23 got his feelings hurt. It's a terrible thing to watch a snowflake melt. Oh, how special and unique and smart and, dare I say, Cool(ey) you thought you were . . .
ReplyDelete11:23 is the typical, double-standard, silence-those-you-disagree-with, wacko liberal.
ReplyDeleteIn his second paragraph he says that all 8:45 "know[s] how to do in response to facts is insult those he disagrees with" and in paragraph one he wonders if 8:45's mother would have aborted him/her if she's known what he/she would grow up to be. And then calls him a Nazi.
You're so stupid 11:23. Funny (unintentionally for sure), yes, but stupid.
