First the good news:
Ringing the bell. |
Judge Stan Blake finished his course of radiation and chemotherapy for oral cancer. He celebrated by wearing a Tux and ringing the bell signifying the end of his treatment.
Hyman Roth: Good health is the most important thing. More than success, more than money, more than power.
The bad news:
Miami Beach Cop Alex Carulo was fired for sending racist emails from his official account.
The Miami Beach Police Department has a serious problem.
"Q: How many Beach cops does it take to throw a defendant down a flight of stairs?
A: None. He fell."
The In-Between:
Judge Veronica Diaz was MIA again this week on Thursday. She didn't show up for court and she didn't arrange for coverage. Blog commentators wrote and sent us emails describing the scene as the bailiff struggled to maintain order in a courtroom with no judge. Judge Sayfie had to pitch in and do the calendar with court starting an hour later than usual.
Enjoy your weekend. Long weekend next week.
See you in court.
The name is Veronica, not Victoria. I don 't think the judges named Victoria (Sigler, Brennan, Del Pino, Ferrer) will be happy with your name mix up.
ReplyDeleteTHE CAPTAIN REPORTS:
ReplyDeleteNice photo of Stan Blake (and Lisa Goldberg) as Stan Rings The Bell.
Rump, there is also a video of the hospital scene here:

ReplyDeletepeople develop cancer. It's an unfortunate reality of life. Medical professionals are not 100% what causes it.
As to "who" gave him cancer (who implying that a person is responsible), I could not tell you. "What" gave him cancer, I haven't the foggiest. Environmental factors and genetics probably.
3pm. You are a moron.
ReplyDeleteJB no PBA for YOU !
ReplyDeleteAny thoughts on the sudden closing of Butler & Hosch, leaving 700 employees without a job and not even getting paid this Friday?
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to Judge Diaz...whatever the problem is.
ReplyDeleteWhat an embarrassment Veronica Diaz is. Seriously I also wonder when the Chief Judge or Safie are going to actually address the issues. Or are they going to continue to cover up. I thought the code of blue was only for cops. Judges covering up for other judges' unethical practices. Well maybe the Chief Justice Labraga would like to know that Soto is sweeping Diaz's actions, under the rug.On the day she was removed from the bench she WAS HIGH! It was obvious. Then when she 1st took the bench she said she would not be working Fridays and that she would be talKing 2 months off every year etc. Move her ass out of criminal to somewhere she can't fuck up people's lives.
