The Professor says:
ReplyDeleteKieran was one of the good guys. You could believe every word that came out of his mouth. Every lawyer and judge felt that way. That New England grin could light up the room. My deepest condolences to his family. A great loss to the entire legal community.
We have lost too many really good people and friends in the past 10 years....
ReplyDeleteWe are better for having known these folks who marched the halls of the Justice Bldg....
God bless you all ... one day we shall meet again!
Be kind. Love one another. Be grateful.
Fuck
ReplyDeleteEarly 80's SAO with Kieran and beyond. I'm sad.
ReplyDeleteJust learning of his passing. I too met Kieran when he joined Janet Reno's team in the "tick tock" case. I was a Metro Economic Crimes detective. Fallon was a lovely guy; bright, kind, loyal and fun loving. Very sad about our loss. Thinking of how much his family will miss him. Margarete G
DeleteI met Kieran when he joined the SAO I'm the early 80's. I was a Metro Police Economic Crimes detective. Fallon was a lovely man; bright, generous, kind and fun loving. Because I no longer live in MIami, I just learned of our loss. So sad for all of us, especially his wife, mother and those lucky enough to work with him. Margarete G
Delete8:48 pm: I hope you are not a lawyer. Hopefully an attorney could write something a little more meaningful about the loss of a friend and colleague.
ReplyDeleteThe details of Kieran Fallon's memorial services are now listed under "Tribute" on the Stanfill Funeral Home page: http://www.stanfillfh.com/obituaries/Kieran-Patrick-Fallon-5292435745/#!/Obituary

ReplyDeleteHonest and upfront, Fallon was the guy you wanted on your side as a professional and a friend. He helped me thru difficult times. A great guy, really saddened by his passing.
ReplyDeleteWhat did he pass away from?
ReplyDeleteOn the eve of his 79th birthday, Churchill said, "I am prepared to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter." Meeting you was certainly an ordeal, but it was an inspirational one that made me a more educated, traveled, and cynical (in a good way) person. Thank you for believing in me and teaching me the power of the written word.
ReplyDeleteKieran was a great human being and a fine man.
ReplyDeleteHe will forever be a shining example of both the
LaSalle Class '73 and
Boston College '77.
He was a tough "Ram" and an extremely adept "Eagle" in the Legal Profession ...
"Saint John Baptist de La Salle,
Pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts,
Forever."
I had met Kieran when I worked for Sam Burstyn back in 1986 - 87. I was introduced to him and needless to say I was speechless. He was very polite and made it easy for me to finally talk to him. What a terrible loss of a wonderful human being. Hugs to his family and friends
