TEAM FIMAN won the second REGJB Fantasy Football league this year, with a sterling (Donald Sterling was on his team) record of 10-3. He truly dominated the league.
DUSTIN TISCHLER was the Survivor Pool champion, picking a winning team in all sixteen weeks of the season.
Congrats to our champions, and thanks to all of our players in both competitions who made this a very enjoyable football season.
Speaking of which…..
Take the Fins at home over the hapless J…E….T….S and Rex Ryan's last game as coach -6.
Take the surging Raiders on the road, getting 14 at Denver where Peyton Manning is ailing.
Take the Steelers, at home, in the Sunday night game, -3, over the Bengals, to win the AFC North Division. Also take the over 48.
Lets not forget to give congrats to the University of Miami Hurricanes for participating in 2014 college footballseason. WTG !!!!!!!!! 6-7 and get beat in the friggin Duck Hunter Bowl, fka; The Weedeater Bowl"
ReplyDeleteRumpole .... Thank you for another great year of wonderful blog content. I read it everyday and enjoy each one. I know that it takes a great deal of time and effort --- but know that all of us appreciate your thought process, moderation and information provided. May the new year be all good things for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI have a request in 2015. How about asking Nancy Wear to stop blogging and stop using the list serve. She's insulted just about everyone. She proclaims to be an expert in areas wher she's never practiced. She tricked Rumpole into feeling sorry for her by writing herself a nasty but, very true letter and then publising it. When people ask for advice she tells them to open a legal book. She demands to speak at CLE seminars on subjects she knows nothing about and then writes to the Bar news complaining that she's being left out because she's female. Honestly, wouldn't it better if she did shut up and stay off this blog and FACDL?
ReplyDeleteHow bout a year without her.
ReplyDeleteTHE CAPTAIN REPORTS:
From Dropout to Judge, With Side Excursions .....
A great vignette from the DBR about Judge Sarduy starts out like this:
Miami-Dade Circuit Judge George Sarduy was convinced he would be an attorney someday, even after he dropped out of school.
He said he deliberately quit in the 10th grade when his childhood friends started getting involved in drugs and things he didn't want to be a part of.
"It was a good way to get away from folks and hit the reset button," he said. "At the time, I'm telling you, I felt that this was the perfect and only solution."
Born in New York to Cuban-born parents, Sarduy lived in Fort Worth until he was 9. Then his father took a job as an engineer with Bell South and moved the family to Miami.
"From a very young age, I wanted to be a lawyer," Sarduy said. But "I made some decisions that were poor decisions."
He quit high school and took a job at a grocery store, working his way from cashier to stocking shelves.

ReplyDeleteTwo thoughts for the new year Rumpole. First, if you are going to have rules then stick to them. The post above violates your own rule three. What was the point of that post other than to embarrass and humiliate Nancy Wear publicly when that person could have emailed her privately. Instead he does so anonymously and it was nothing more than an adhominem attack on her.
I have a few simple rules. I do not moderate based on content other than content that 1) attacks a person's physical characteristics- i.e.., joe schmo is fat; 2) discusses a person's personal life- see above; 3) is a complete ad hominem attack- i.e.., rumplole is a bad lawyer who never shows up to court, cheats his clients, loses all his trials, dresses poorly, and has bad taste in wine.
Second thought. 10:22 is an asshole who has no life. Hey 10:22. Get a life. Try to do something positive in 2015. Volunteer for a charity. Clearly you have too much time on your hands if all you can do is spend your time personally attacking and criticizing someone.
Mention Rumpole and his Champions blog article and receive a complimmentary order of curly fries with the purchase of a cocktail or beverage at regular price.Tonight only at The REN (a venue).
ReplyDeleteThere is no reasonable hypothesis of innocence that 10:22 is not Mike Catalano. The tone, tenor and writing style is obvious. Imagine the gossip notes he must have written in Jr. High. Might as well just sign your name, Cat.
ReplyDelete417.......If you've followed this blog for any length of time than you know that I agree with your three rules and pushed for blog moderation from the get-go. However, in this instance, Nancy invited the responses by releasing a private letter (however heinous) for publication to Rumpole. Therefore, he did not violate his rules by posting it.

Mike didn't do that. I did. Mike doesn't know the Hucks. I do. Nancy needs to be quiet.
