BORED BUT CERTIFIED

EVENING UPDATE: FORMER SWEETWATER POLICE OFFICER MANUEL PARDO EXECUTED AT 7:47 PM AS PER HERALD'S DAVID OVALLE WHO WITNESSED THE EXECUTION.

MID-DAY UPDATE: Bad day for the police:
1- We bet these cops are upset. Herald reports  the FBI investigating City of Miami cops for bookmaking and protecting a Liberty City Bookmaking operation. Take the Fins and over this weekend.
2-Doral Police Chief fired. Ricardo Gomez out as chief in the 15 square mile municipality. He was not even allowed to get his personal items. Chief Gomez's next step: "I want my lawyer!
Fun fact: Doral was named "Tree City USA".
(Hialeah was recently named "dead chicken on your porch city USA").
3- Bal Habour (Motto: "you can't afford to live here") Police Chief Tommy Hunker was suspended with pay pending the DOJ's investigation of the small principality municipality's dabbling in forfeiture and drug investigations across the country.

Want to become a board certified lawyer? Well, first you have to try some cases. With that we cannot help you. You must develop the intestinal fortitude to say "NO" to the offer of withhold and court costs and look at the judge and bravely say "lets pick six"

Next: Come to the PD's office on Wednesday at noon. BRING AN UNWRAPPED TOY for the DCBA Homeless Outreach Committee, and then listen to Judge Richard Hersch (motto: "The other, quieter, Judge Hersch/Hirsch")  and Sabrina Puglisi talk to you about everything you wanted to know about becoming a board certified lawyer.
Also come hungry because lunch is being served and Au Bon Pain has nothing to do with it.

The festivities start at noon.
See you there? Hardly. But it's still a worthy event for the rest of you.

Former Judge Pando charged by JQC.
Charges against Judge Pando dropped by JQC.
What? Why? Who knows?  Herald article here.
Talk about your revolving door of justice.
It appears the charges filed were dropped in exchange for Pando agreeing never to run for President. Or something like that.

"You want the truth?
You can't handle the truth!"

There's never a cop around when you need one. And now we know why- courtesy of the Sun Sentinel- they're going home early- busted by Sun Pass. Rats.

Manuel Pardo execution still scheduled for 6pm Tuesday.

See You In Court.

  1. It's the jqc(judicial qualifications commission) not the jnc(judicial nominating commission).

  2. Before I took my skills to the Bronx, I beat up on a bunch of "board certified" defense lawyers.

These pompous arrogant types walked into court like they owned the place and the judge. Their $2000 Canali suits didn't help them either.

Jurors could see right through the it all.

Then, I stood up on behalf of The People of the State of Florida.

I played the underdog better than Rocky.

  4. The JQC has a reputation for being bullies. They think it is their job to scare judges into good behavior while they hide behind their Constitutional secrecy.

  5. Catalano/8:35 a.m. - stop commenting anonymously. you "pled" another client. This time, with her judicial career.

  6. the JQC are no more bullies than the judges they investigate. I have not seen any formal charge issued by the JQC that didn't come from severely unprofessional and unethical judicial conduct. And usually, they just ask that the judge be reprimanded. I wish they would yank more of them from office.

  7. And the Miami Dolphins select, as their first round pick in the 2013 draft:

    Wide Receiver

Southern California's Marqise Lee, or, Baylor's Terrance Williams.

    Scott Kotler
HOLIDAY SPECIAL: anyone who gets arrested for dui, in dade county, during the holiday season, takes the breath test, and is truly not guilty of this crime.... i will represent for FREE.....

That sounds like a great deal. What's the catch?

  11. The JQC rarely if ever disciplines shitty racist judges, but they will scrutinized judges such as Barry Cohen. One day it's not going to be the in thing to be a fucking racist piece of shit such as many in the judiciary. Most know they are and some sadly don't realize they are.
What's even more preposterous is that someone will take issue for me pointing the facts out.

  12. About Pando. She was nice to the defense but, actuallly too liberal. She almost never found anyone guilty.

That being said, one does have to wonder why the JQC added charges and then instantly dumped the case. Other than rubbing her face in the you know what, do tell me why they did that.

  13. AM..........tell me, how many judges do you actually know? How many clients have you had? How many cases have you personally handled in court? I'm just curious how you've built your fund of "knowledge."

  14. The JQC only has jurisdiction over Judges, not ex-judges or Attorneys. The JQC has no power to punish those not on the bench currently.
