SHE'S BEEN SLIMED

Yesterday's post (mail for you yanks) brought a singularly slimly and disingenuous piece of political advertising. Besides almost revealing exactly where the State Attorney lives (which is a crime in Florida), complete with photographs of the front and back of the area of her residence, the three-fold, double sided flyer, contained an excerpt from a PBA newspaper in which the State Attorney was labeled "the most corrupt politician in Miami-Dade County".
The flyer then asks why we should trust the State Attorney if the police don't?
Except of course that the PBA does not speak for all police officers in Dade County, and is run by a man who has displayed thuggish tactics against Assistant State Attorneys who were prosecuting  police officers; who has had a well publicized feud with the State Attorney; and who may well be behind, or acting in concert with, "Big Vote For Justice", the putative political group responsible for the mendacious flyer.

What we can say for sure is this: Rod Vereen is way too classy to allow himself to be associated with this perfidious piece of political offal.

We can also say politics in Dade County just got dirtier, as if that was even possible.

Missing: The JAA broward blog. Or maybe they're just on vacation, like the rest of the attorneys in south florida, according to the South Florida Lawyers.

This is a remarkable photo, taken by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, showing the descent of the Curiosity Mars Rover, with the parachute deployed. NASA now has a satellite orbiting Mars and a one ton vehicle set to explore the Martian surface. Well done NASA, well done indeed.

Keep cool....see you in court.

  2. "Perfidious piece of political offal"....priceless.

The reason why I read the blog. Erudite.

  3. Thanks for the support Rumpole. Dealing with those PBA thugs over the years has been difficult to say the least.

  4. Spence Jones is worse then John
Rivera. Rod is now forever linked to these thugs. Even after he gets thrashed on election day.

  5. Pinecrest cops hate Kathy, mostly for her parties which they are often called out to.

  6. How did Rundle become worth 2.3 mil? Gee, I don't know. Let's see, she got divorced, got the house, sold the house and bought another house and her house is worth some money? Is that possible. Maybe she has some cash value life insurance for her kids? 2.3 mill ain't shit anyway.

That mailer should make everyone vote for KFR regardless of whether they support her. Worst piece of garbage I've ever seen.

  7. Rod would have had my support for just about any office in the county. But linking up with Spence Jones and Rivera to unseat KFR was a horrible move.

He should have put in for circuit judge and had almost unanimous support across the legal bar.

  8. Rumpole just when I thought you were impartial, your integrity is now questionable. Kathy Rundle stated that "Rod was talking just to be talking" and that "Rods claims were unsubstantiated", then she turned around and has to do as Rod suggested because the so called allegations of ballot fruad on behalf of her campaign are indeed true, utterly illegal, and unethical. You Rump seem to be offended by her unethical and illegal campaign tactics being exposed, when you should be concerned about the unethical and illegal activity of a woman who's job and claim is to do the very opposite.

Your post is surprising that you do not point out the blatant disregard for integrity and competency and respect for the Law and our electoral process which Kathy Rundle has violated and claimed to have no knowledge of.
What is also troubling is her dismissive attitude and unwillingness to investigate the claim a private investigator had to be employed and a police investigation conducted. If you don't see this as unethical, alarming, disturbing, then maybe you should question your integrity.

Kathy has been exposed and who knows how many other illegal ballot brokers and convicted felons exist in her campaign it cannot be taken for granted and had it not been for Rod's investigation of Kathy it would have never been brought to the light the illegal unethical activity that was going on and to ad to that fact this is not the first time this has happen with Kathy. This needs to stop once and for all. "She's unaware" or does not know is not acceptable or honest for a 19yr SA enough is enough.

  9. Rumpole, that pamphlet is pretty clean by Dade County political standards. You've got to see the low class crap being sent by supporters of Diaz de la Portilla against Gus Barreiro.

  10. 9:57 your comment is a thoughtful one that should be discussed. As opposed to the flyer which tries to intimidate Kathy by showing where she lives.

As to her money, maybe a rich relative died or maybe she sold her first home at the height of the RE bubble. Or maybe she plays the horses or poker or invested in Apple in 2003 like we did. There are lots of ways to honestly accumulate money without taking bribes as the flyer suggests.

  11. Actually Rump it is not Kathy who has accumulated the wealth, but her significant other David who is incredibly wealthy. He owns the home they live in and provides the lifestyle they live.

It is not like she did not have her own, which she inherited from her father. But life is good when you are living with a man who developed most of the newer sections of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

  12. KFR is being slimed, just like Romney by the notorious pederast Sen. Harry Reid (Google it - he's never denied it, has he?).

    ReplyDelete
  13. KFR's Campaign PR man Bob Levy denies any knowledge of illegal activity in her campaign.

But does KFR know that Levy was convicted of Check Kiting in the '70s ?

  14. Dear 7:24 am:

Rumor is it that you are clueness and have no idea what you are talking about.

  15. Not many people deny pederastry. Mitt Romney hasn't, nor has George W Bush. Its a slimy thing to write so stop it. None of it is true.

  21. Remember attorney Mark Panunzio? He was suspended for three years for DUI serious injury but, failed to appear for all Bar related counselling and the supreme court disbarred him. Too bad. I have never seen the Supreme Court simply disbar a lawyer for not following up with his conditions of Bar probation. They didn't even give him a hearing but, he probably ignored them 10 or so times.

    Oh well.

  23. Neither Rod nor KFR should be tarnished because of their supporters . Rod and Kathy ARE NOT responsible for who supports them nor their supporters, personal , solo - unauthorized activities.

People choose to support the Candidates for their personal reasons, many times because they hate the opponent.
Remember the Supporter Endorses the Candidate, THE Candidate IS NOT Endorsing the Supporter.

Whether its the PBA or Commish. Spence-Jones saying replace KFR, they do it cause they have their own axe to grind.

Rod isn't responsible for their actions UNLESS he includes it in HIS campaign material.

Those of us that do criminal defense should be most sensitive to this collateral mud throwing. How many of us have beeb accused of supporting crime because we associate, i.e. represent those accused of horrible` crimes. Because you represent alleged criminals does that mean you support their alleged criminal activities. Of Course Not.

It isn't any different for KFR or Rod. They are both GOOD people who care.

Lets debate the issues, there are enough issues that are important that we do not need to lower ourselves to throwing crap and seeing what sticks.

By the Way, Bob Levy is a Decorated Vietnam Combat Vet..

  24. 536........your point is well taken, to an extent. Remember that Rod accepted the PBA and Spence-Jones' endorsement and has made them public. So, he is, to a large extent responsible for them. I agree that neither he nor KFR are responsible for the stupid things some of their supporters or doing.

As I've said, I wish Rod would have run for another office.......I would have supported him in a second. I just think KFR is the better candidate for SA.

  25. What's with the Nunzio comment? Why bring that stuff up? He's a good guy who went through some tough times. Fortunately, he is doing well now as DS noted. Give the guy a break.

  27. The PBA is fully corrupt that is true. Even the cops know it. But KFR still needs to go. It's been too long and too much.

    ReplyDelete
  28. why is everything shumi, and someone explain the backgrounf on it?

    ReplyDelete
  29. The PBA is a thug run organization which bullies anyone and everyone without regard to right or wrong. I wonder if the FBI files on the shack down of the bookies and drug dealers in the Liberty City and Brownsville area by certain then Dade County police officers is obtainable. I hear is would make for great reading about some of the thugs who now run the PBA. Rumors are that were it not for the McDuffie riots which derailed investigations, the landscape of the PBA would be different. Hey Rump, how about a FOI request to the FBI?

  30. DS

Bob Levy gives a bad name to war vets. He is a convicted felon and gives convicted felons a bad name. He is the slime of the earth. He practices dirty tricks, cares nothing for anyone but himself and could not campaign his way out of a wet paper back without the help of people who know what they are doing. His modus operadi is to blackmail judges into hiring him or he files someone against them to get the attention of others. In simple terms he is an as---le.

  31. The comment about Mark Panunzio was not about him and his problems, it was about how the Supreme Court simply disbarred him without a hearing. That seems rather strange.

I wish Mark well too but, he really did have some serious problems and it appears as if he didn't handle it right.

  32. I cannot understand why any one would link KFR to the ballot fraud in Hialeah. she DOSNT NEED TO STEAL BALLOTS IN THAT COMMUNITY. She is well liked in the Latin Community. You have to wonder who benefits the most from stealing the ab's and it certainly isnt her.
