CAN'T STAND THE HEAT?

Then get out of Dallas.

The local hoopsters dropped their second in a row in Dallas Thursday night and now limp home to Miami down 3-2 in the series. The MAVS storm Miami needing one of two to wrap up their first NBA Championship.

Lebron James, coming off a horrendous 8 points in game 4 (none in the fourth quarter) followed that up going 1 for 4 in the fourth quarter and scoring only two points when his team needed him most.

For those of you who continually bombard us with emails and comments about what we think of the Heat, here is our answer: 5 games into this championship series the best team money can buy finds themselves down 3-2. The best player money can buy disappears in the fourth quarter while his counterpart on the MAVS makes shots and wins games while playing through a broken finger and the flu.

What do we think of the Heat? Give us a well coached team manned by players with heart and guts any day over this band of spoiled prima donnas.

Enjoy the weekend. See You In Court.

  1. Is it wrong that I don't want the HEAT to win because of how embarrassing it is when the news shows 'all' of Miami celebrating by banging pots and pans through the streets.

Last time Miami won something all my out of town relatives called to say WTF is with the city? I tried to explain Hialeah and Little Havana to them but they just kept laughing at the pot banging straw hat wearing guy hanging out the car window.

  6. Yes, we should be very embarrassed. Why can't Miami fans turn over vehicles and burn things in the street like the rest of the country.

That is a good reason to want the home team to lose.

    I've said it before...Idiots.

  7. The Heat are the best team in basketball. They should win it all. Problem is they celebrated their championship last summer in one of the gaudiest displays of in your face arrogance the sports world has ever seen. I root against them and hope they get their comeuppance in a big way. Learn some humility guys!

  9. compared to the fact that Miami is a cesspool of corruption, drug dealing, medicare and mortgage fraud, whose residents are some of the most uneducated people in america, the fact that are basketball team loses in the championship ain't that embarrassing.

I mean the Elian Gonzalez saga and the fact that because of it we are stuck with the likes of Rosa Rodriguez and Spencer Eig on the bench is far more embarrassing than Lebrons fourth quarter meltdown.

and donthca think the fact that a bunch of old jews in palm beach county not being able to vote for al gore and thus handing us the biggest fuckin retarded president ever is a bigger embarrassment than the fact that D. Wade couldn't have a Willis Reed moment in game 5?

lets be honest when we elect Julio Robaina, a dude who is crooked as the day is long, that too will be pretty embarrassing as well.

  10. Im not going to print your idiotic comment about a circuit court candidate because you have a total lack of knowledge about him/her. I would venture that the individual has WON more serious federal trials than you have total trials. in short, you comment betrayed your ignorance.

    Angry Gurl, Heat edition.

First of all this Heat business has to stop. You are all a bunch of front runners. If the Heat play .500 ball next year the arena will be empty. Miami doesn't support its teams through good times and bad like true fans. Either the team wins all the time or you people sulk and stay home.

So having been to the two home games in the finals the insincerity of all you phonies at the Arena makes me ill.

On the other hand, the Heat commercialize damn near everything. I half expect to see a picture of a competitor lawyer on the toilet paper at the Arena.

To you idiots sitting court side who are paying 5K a seat and I haven't seen you there all year, you are not impressing anyone. Real bright to pay 20K for 4 hours of entertainment for you and your phony family or phony friends. Not.

Missing: One "small" forward. Goes by name of Lebron James. Last seen in third quarter. Disappears in every fourth quarter. If seen, throw some money at him and call Pat Riley immediately.

That's it for now. More rants as required.

Thanks Angry Gurl for restating the same complaint about Miami fans that has been going around FOREVER. Very original.

What pisses me off most about going to the Heat games, is not only the constant barrage of commercialization, but the constant non-basketball related "entertainment."

Dancing kids, dancing senior citizens, blaring music to keep the fans "pumped up," kiss cams, trivia, DJ- just to name a few. Is the basketball product itself so boring that they have to find a way to keep people interested during what is among the shortest of all professional sporting events? The answer - yes.

Why do we need snippets of pop music blasted at us during every break in the action? Probably because they want to fool you into thinking you got something for the cost of that overpriced ticket.

If you look through the comments you will see other comments about that judicial candidate that are not kind at all but they are not personal attacks and I printed them. So think what you want but beware of accusing people who have nothing to do with this blog- I can tell you from experience that person in particular has a short temper and a foul mood when it comes to being called Rumpole.

  28. 1st, off rings is a major factor because you can’t prove to be a winner if you don’t have a ring that what everyone is playing for and 2nd, no it doesn’t mean he is better than Kobe just cause he has more rings Robert Horry is a good player but was not the star of any team he was just a role player and there in the right time to win a ring Kobe on the other hand was the main factor in taken his team all the way to winning the ring and not failing. There must always be a team work in every team for them to be able to succeed. Thanks for sharing this post.
